Eh, Animal Crossing Wii?

I'm definitely getting that.

Excellent supplement to SSBB, SC, CoD4, etc. Gets my blood pressure down to play more :]

Seconded. I played the first one on a regular basis for almost two years before getting tired of it. Probably the only GC game I played nearly as much as Melee.

Most replay value I have ever seen in a single player game :)

It looks as though Nintendo is going to be lazy and not do anything other than make a few small updates to the GC version. Knowing me though, I'm going to buy it on the first day anyway and love it until my Wii dies :(

Isn't this like the only good wii game comming out soon? Will probably grab it if they add something new and exiting compared to the DS version.

I'm pretty psyched about it. It would actully make me play Wii more often since I know how addicting Animal Crossing is.

Yeah, sure Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is coming out. Yep. Definitely.
I'm not interested in Animal Crossing Wii at all. Looks almost exactly the same as the N64, GCN, and DS versions. The game honestly hasn't evolved at all since the N64.

I bought the DS game but it was so similar to the GCN game I didn't really get past the first day even. I don't think I'll ever buy another AC game.

So that of course means the only game I'm getting on the Wii in the forseeable future is Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World.

I know N64 and GCN were the exact same. What am I supposed to be looking at >_>; I was watching the conference live. When I was, it took me about 1:35 before I realized that it was all showing the new game. I thought they were just showing different bits of the old games in an overall statement about the series.

I played the GCN game every day for 8 months. I cannot see myself getting into the Wii game. It's the same damn game with some parts of the town now in an external city.

believe it or not, i have never played any of the Animal Crossing games so i might actually get this one because i've heard so much about them i finally became curious enough to get one.

I didnt even realize there was an n64 version until a while ago, and although it is the same as previous games in the series, I dont really care because it's going to be fun.

Voice chat. Town mall. Better wifi (and no AR to screw it up to my knowledge). No DS screen. New things to do. New things to collect. More character styles. Customizable characters....

What else do you want??

Nothing to do with the game. I can't get back into it. The game's evolved as far as it can get as far as I can see. None of those things will change the gameplay in any considerable way and I'm completely burnt out on the series. I played the GCN game religiously and traded with people every day using GameFAQs.

I don't think there's anything they could do to make me interested in Animal Crossing again.

Miltonic, you should give this one a try. The game is quite fun.

Fire Storm obviously doesn't like AC and any persuasion would just make him hate it more. Personally If someone doesn't like something shoving it into their face really doesn't help. I am sam for example, since fire storm won't be willing to take a bite (considering the bite costs about $50), he'll never like it.

Will anyone enlighten me as to what is so great about Animal Crossing? The only one I ever played was for the DS and I did not find it fun at all.

Then it's not for you. I liked trying to collect all the little furniture pieces. It's just going through the motions does eventually get boring. I really liked trading and stuff online with the GCN version. This was back when I had more free time and less games/systems to play though =P

Well, just take it like the Pokemon series and you should be fine :[

The Pokemon games have changed far more than Animal Crossing has. And even then, I never played Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald so DP felt fairly fresh to me. I got Fire Red for Christmas a few months before DP though to just play through one of my favourite games of all time again.

It's just that all the stuff I did in Animal Crossing wasn't really "fun". It was like an MMORPG that didn't really have some of the benefits MMORPGs bring. I'm not saying they're bad games. It's a good series. It's just that once you play one, you've played 'em all.

I took a bite of it and liked it. It's just I ate so much of it in the first helping that I can't stand the stuff ;)

Kira, you might like it. I thoroughly enjoyed the GC version, yet had absolutely no interest in playing it on the DS and skipped out on it. They've re-added some of the smaller but still relatively important features back to this game. If the concept of the game really bored you, you should skip it. If you feel like you could have been interested at all, I'd try this out.

I was disappointed to learn that its pretty much the DS version on the Wii. No, I don't mean in terms of graphics, but in gameplay. The online mode seems just like the terrible DS version online with voice chat. Animal Crossing doesn't need friend codes for its online.

ugh i probably will get this game even though i got completely addicted to the ds one, and this will probably be almost exactly the same thing.

What? The DS version was easily the pinnacle of the series up until now, and it had good online...
Plus it absolutely needs friend codes; fuck if im having random strangers trample my flowers etc
