Eternatus @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Dynamax Cannon
- Flamethrower
- Recover
- Sludge Bomb
The third legendary of Sword and Shield games is one of the most powerful Pokemon in the Ubers metagame thanks to this set! Offensively, Eternatus's well-rounded coverage, excellent Special Attack, and Life Orb make it hard for most Pokemon, barring a select few like Tyranitar, to switch in on it. However, unlike other offensive Pokemon like Excadrill, Eternatus can also act as a bulky attacker thanks to Recover and an immunity to Poison, taking advantage of passive Pokemon like Corviknight. This set is weak to powerful Pokemon like Excadrill, so common partners include switch-ins to these, such as Quagsire. Offensive partners like Zacian-C are also good options for dealing with checks to Eternatus like Tyranitar. Additionally, Zacian-C appreciates Eternatus's ability to beat some of its checks, such as Corviknight.
