NOC Everchanging Mafia - Game thread - Day 2!

Like just plain and simple, the protect action working is such a minute chance that we should assume it will never succeed and go with the conservative play of a no vote. We get 4 misvotes either way.
 
Voting D1 in hopes that at some point the protect action succeeds and gains us another misvote seems suspect at best. I would rather have another day's worth of discussion than praying that the mafia gets unlucky and hits into a 1/14 chance of the protect action working. And that's assuming that a villager even has the protect action now (or in future turns)
1/14?? that's how a mafia would think..... It's actually 1/17... and then 1/15... and then 1/13... and so on... (the protector might as well just play the lottery)
 
We get 4 days worth of voting patterns / information whether we vote or no vote - but we get one more day of discussion by no voting. There's no reason to vote today unless we're hoping for a low probability protect to eventually work.

And in fact if anything, this gives us a guaranteed 4 tracks whereas misvoting today gives us only three.

the main problem is, if we're planning to no vote, D1 discussion doesn't actually do anything

if we're no voting there's nothing substantial to talk about

so it ends up just being a -1 to town's size with no upshot
