Everstone? Try Neverstone.

I've been breeding for an Impish Drifloon, and at first, I was breeding my only Drifloon with an Impish Ditto. The Ditto was holding an Everstone (50% chance of passing down nature, iirc), yet it took me at least 15 Eggs to hatch an Impish Female Drifloon. Now she is in the Day Care with a Haunter who knows Hypnosis. She's holding an Everstone, and I've hatched about 20 of her eggs. So far, 3 were Impish. According to my rough calculations, if its a 50% chance of passing down the nature, then the possibility of getting 3 out of 20 is about or .0007%. I think... IDK, I didn't pay attention much in Statistics.

Is there some method to this trick that I don't know about? It's worked for me before...

is the ditto from 3rd gen? because if it is it will never work, for some reason the everstone trick doesnt work with 4th gen pokemon and 3rd gen ditto.

I heard that that is not true and that it only doesnt work between english/japanese games. The person who posted that it did not work on serebii was using a japanese D/P, and an english 3rd gen. game.

i had this problem when i was breeding for a ralts and i was using my adamant ditto from 3rd gen i got like 2 out of 20 ralts to be admant i was really annoyed so i used one of the ralts i got with synchronize and adamant nature to get a 4th gen ditto and the trick started working.

Hmm... At first, I was using a Japanese Drifloon with my English Ditto.

But now, it's English Drifloon and English Haunter. Maybe it's because the Drifloon's parents were an English/Japanese mix?

Where did our compatability listing go? It should be in the resource thread.

The only time everstone will not work is if you're crossing inter-language pokemon (or the everstone is on the wrong partner obviously). Check to make sure that's not the case.

I heard that it was something between 3rd and 4th genetation pokemon that made the everstone trick not work. One of us should test this out, If I have time i will try it, But can anyone confirm what exactly is the problem of why it doesnt work?

It HAS been tested, and people even said it.

Everstone breeding does not work with pokemon from games that have different languages.

I got this problem too when I breeded female modest rasts (with everstone) with a haunter (from the girl ingame). It took ages to get a modest one ._.

I have verified that the Everstone trick works with North American 3rd-gen and North Americal 4th gen Pokémon. I believe there has been sufficient testing to show that the Everstone trick works unless the parents are from different real-world regions (one North American parent and one Japanese parent).

Its interlanguage. This was tested ages ago by myself and others, though I believe that which game the pokemon came from may effect it, as I have a gligar from Firered which isnt passing on natures with the gligar from emerald. Strange.

When I traded over my Adamant heracross from emeral I got near to no adamant heras whilst breeding it with a random natured hera from Diamond. I finally got another female adamant ad put that instead and it was working much much more often.

I had a similar problem when I first bred with my emerald salamence with a japanese jolly garchomp. Fortunately it started working when breeding with a jolly offspring.

I've never had a problem getting my FireRed Ditto to pass on genders with an Emerald.

Impish American FR Ditto(Everstone) w/ American Shieldon = 4/6
Impish American FR Ditto(Everstone) w/ Traded American Carnivine = 5/8
Impish American FR Ditto(Everstone) w/ FR Duskull = 10/14

Adamant American FR Ditto(Everstone) w/ FR Scyther = 3/6
Adamant American FR Ditto(Everstone) w/ FR Zangoose = 2/6
Adamant American FR Ditto(Everstone) w/ FR Electabuzz = 14/23

Impish American FR Ditto(Everstone) w/ Japanese Shieldon = 0/6

Can't confirm anything with Emerald, but FR-Nature-passing is only region-locked.
