EVO 1 - Part 2 (Pokémon Poll 1)

I thought I proved that it didn't matter where the most popular option was in CAP 5 by placing it all over randomly in various polls?

I think an order of operations should be established based on:
1. Who needs it the most (current final evo is unusable or bad)
2. Who has been waiting the longest (Farfetch'd and Pinsir are tied, both having zero modifications to their evolution line since R/B/Y and being first forms)
Farfetch'd wins out in both cases. He's been NU since R/B/Y, gotten no evo or pre-evo, and generally is just so shitty that he's never seen any use in high level play. It's entirely possible that we can expand him into a niche that nothing else has as Farfetch'd has rounded (shitty) stats.
And I've been advocating this as the first evo project for awhile, I'm not some bandwagoner, ask yourself which pokemon needs to evolve more, a handfull of pokemon with decently established UU niches, BLs, or the poor Farfetch'd, the eternally NU duck of suck?
I also voted for Pinsir because frankly he's been in the same situation as Farfetch'd. Dead end evolutionless for four generations, the only difference is Pinsir is actually usable while Farfetch'd is not.

Two things:
One is that by imposing your views on everyone in an attempt to persuade them in any way, you are in effect making them bandwagoners because most people don't come up with reasons to vote on their own. I can say the same thing about any of the options up there.
Two is that just because people want to evolve Farfetch'd and its winning thanks to random people coming in and wanting it for flavor reasons, doesn't mean everyone is a bandwagoner. I personally want to evolve it because it would be a VERY effective Heatran, Scizor, Blissey, Tyranitar, Revenankh, Rockmon, Pyroak, Infernape, et cetera. Not many Pokemon can do that. I think its time for a mixed bulky flyer other than Salamence to help deal with the new platinum threats. Now is that anything like the whole "FARFETCH'D IS COOL AND NEEDS EVO NAO!" arguement? I rest my case.

I haven't been here for a little while, but it looks like there are some good choices for pokemon to evolve. I'm pretty excited.
I voted for houndoom (I can't resist a cool cerberus poke), pinsir (bug/ground would be quite useful), dewgong (let's try hydration!), farfetched (I think fighting/flying would have some unique advantages), and muk. I don't really see the point of muk but he's pretty cool. If there is some blatant argument I am overlooking then, please, fill me in. Otherwise, I am quite content voting for the hell of it.

Farfetch'd and luvdisc are my votes. Everything else doesn't seem to warrant as much need for an evolution.
So, in what universe is a Normal/Flying type with no fighting attacks effective against the pokemon (bar the fighters) you mentioned? And Mixed Bulky Flyer? Even staying true to Farfetch'd arrangement makes that a hazy proposition.
Oh, you mean you have predetermined in your mind a new type (Fite/Fly) and expanded attack pool, aka poll jumping. Shocking. Thank you for proving my case regarding the Fite/Fly Farfetch'd Evo bandwagon that has been in vogue ever since, CAP 1.
See, most of the other options people nominated have at least some room for growth or debate. But we all know the Farfetch'd bandwagon has the hubris to know what Type and Attacks will follow a Farfetch'd victory.
Next thing you know we'll be approving WarLax.
Voted Jynx, Houndoom, Banette and Girafarig. Jynx, Houndoom and Girafarig have unique typing and lots of potetential, while Banette should've gotten an evolution when Dusklops did.

why are so many people under the assumption that its going to be a samurai duck? it could be a ninja duck, or a fried duck, or whatever. if farfetch'd wins i personally wouldnt really want it to be a samurai duck.
I think we all know which concept art would be the first to be submitted as well as the most bandwagoned.

Also, if you have any preference at all for a pokemon other than Farfy, I suggest you don't vote for him in addition to your other preferences, because you will not be helping them any closer to first.

In order for him to actually surpass Staraptor stat-wise, we'd have to nearly double his Attack and Speed rating. This is unprecedented except in cases like Magikarp and Eevee; "special" types of evolutions we're not touching this time around.
I thought EVO's mode of operation would be to take an existing Pokemon that would have an interesting impact on the game and give it a slight buff in order to be competitively viable. All this talk about CCing Farfetchds and Focus Blasting Electrodes makes me wonder if some people aren't just viewing this as CAP II.
