Backing up pluff in that this is a terrible idea. Don't do this unless you have 0 use for your action, I guess.

I'd post the result (and would have posted earlier) if it weren't for a certain uncooperative 'birdie'. Apparently, there's a good reason for this behavior, and I'm not getting the luxury of knowing this reason for the time being. I will say that they still insist that whatever they got as a result incriminates mr. LW, so for now all I can do is believe that, especially since we seem to have no alternatives.
 
So B_T, why would we believe non existant proof? I told you he can just go and write down the flavour with his own words if snipping doesn't work, I'm p sure he is at least able to do at least that.

As for the targeting, a hooker would do nicely, they have no better target after all! As B_T said(rather me than someone important that gets randed)
 
OK, so I had a chat with LightWolf and I'm pretty sure he's clean but I am really confused as to why B_T won't post this supposedly incriminating flavour. He clearly has it, otherwise he would not have started this lynch. I personally don't believe his "little birdy" bullshit and want to see this flavour.

But now he has done a backflip and says he doesn't have the flavour??????????? Either he is retarded and I dont see why we should follow his lynch or he is the one who targetted LW imo.

You're ruling out a whole batch of possibilities with this alone.

D1 starts. I post something about being a mouthpiece and get contacted by mysterious user x shortly after that. They claim they have a lynch target and eventually explain it in the following manner: "I targeted lw with a role, I got a result that he redirected my action, the result was scummy". Now, the following made it so I wasn't pressed to ask for flavor:
  • This user gave me a town vibe. (still does)
  • This user was very confident in how the result is incriminating.
  • This role (a built-in self-redirect) is more fitting for a baddie (wolf?). Going by the assumption that this game isn't very experimental, imagining a villager with this role, compared to a baddie with this role, would be hard.
  • This user would have no reason to lie about lw's supposed role. If it turned out to be wrong, they would get immediate shit thrown at them. If it is lw's role, then, going by what I said above, it's likely not a village role.
  • Slight stupidity. Only for the fact that I completely overlooked getting the flavor by not even asking for it.

Talking with LW and thinking it over, I realize that user has no reason not to share this flavor with me, so I ask them about it. Apparently, there's something else, possibly connected to user's (probably info-based) role, that made the result as incriminating as it is (something complicated, as it happened as a result of a combination between their role and lw's as far as I can tell), and it's to be assumed that other players wouldn't get as scummy a result. I asked them to omit parts that relate to their role a handful of times - apparently, they'd have to snip the entire thing.

I don't like this situation as much as everyone else. User's story is kind of ridiculous but, at the same time, talking to him makes me think he's being honest. And apparently we're not going to find out the root of this problem so long as user doesn't trust me blindly (or we DO decide to lynch lw, which means we probably have no better target D3 which is kind of sad).

And no, I'm not an inspector, and this is not a bluff. Why would I make up such a ridiculous story?

I said I'd be a good mouthpiece, user contacted me asking why, I explained that I'm useless. User then proceeds to tell me that they might have a lynch target but they're struggling to figure out how they want to approach it. I encourage them to share it with me and, eventually, they do. That's about all there is to it.

Oh, and this happened a few hours into D1. User was so confident in this lynch that I had to remind them that we're better of waiting some time (turned out to be 24hrs) to see if something else comes up.
 
I find it really funny how he claims that only his role would produce the same scummy flavour. Doesn't that make his role scummy in the first place, all I did was reflect, so if he got anything scummy it was from his role, not mine. If my redirection had a scummy flavour, then everyone would get it, not only him. Hookers hook me!!!!! Silencers and persuaders, back off, you don't want to self persuade and silence do you?

That's not what they claimed - that's only my assumption. The only thing I know is that "revealing the result reveals sensitive info". If this was a regular result, this sensitive info wouldn't exist. And both of us have no idea how other roles react to yours, all of this was me assuming things because everything's awfully vague.

i'm not immediately jumping to any conclusions here, but you're going to need to come up with something other than your word.

I don't really want to drag this out on the thread but it would be nice if we could talk on IRC tonight because that doesn't really satisfy me. I understand you may be in an awkward position but nonetheless...

Also, is it just me or is most of this game inactive?
