Slate 10 - Sublegends
This isn't really something that has a great name, but this is as close as I can get to describing it. This is for the legendary Pokemon that are usually part of a group and are always lesser than the mascot legends in some way. Think the Regis, lake spirits, Lati twins or even something like Heatran. Otherwise same rules as mascot legends, you get only one signature move OR ability per Pokemon and you're supposed to be submitting these as a group unless you explicitly want it to be a Heatran case. No idea how many winners there will be so I want you peoples' help deciding with me on the Discord. Otherwise, you have around a week to sub, and I will give the usual 48 hour warning in advance!

The Immortal Pokemon
Name: Imortelly immortal+jellyfish (please give me a better name on discord lol)
Typing: Sea
Ability: Life Reboot- If Imortelly, at the end of the turn changes form to polyp if less than or equal to ¼ max hp and heals 50% max hp, otherwise standard form.
Standard Stats: 80/130/60/130/60/100 Bst: 560
Polyp Stats: 80/60/130/60/130/100 Bst:560
Notable moves:(full movepool if win)
Physical: Shell shock, Wave splash,
Special: Cascade, Riptide (cratersmash one),Blizzard
Status: Coral cover, Rainy season, Sea shanty, evergreen, Strength up

Flavor/Description: This pokemon is centered around what makes the jellyfish it is based off of immortal. When a immortal jellyfish is damaged or close to dying it transforms itself into a polyp. After that it then grows back into an adult jellyfish over a length of time and the cycle repeats. Competitively, This pokemon will be played as glass cannon; relying on its great base Atk and SpA stats to fire off Hard-hitting sea-type STAB moves. It will fighting most of the time in its standard form as its ability will heal it above 1/4 max hp most of the time.

Cookie Butter

Context/Lore: Not sure if this is a common headcanon, but I believe planets in Pokemon like to spawn "guardian dragons" into reality. Both Rayquaza and Zygarde are dragons who just... spawned, and protect Poke-Earth. Kyurem, Reshiram and Zekrom (originally the same dragon; also an alien) also protect "the ideal future world" in Poke-Earth. Perhaps their old planet was destroyed.
Anyway, the idea here is that the planets never stopped having "guardian dragons" after the universe reboot, they're just different dragons now. These two alien dragons felt the overwhelming power coming from the Extreme Reboot planet (Cyrome, Darkira and Lakera), and deemed it a threat to their own planet.
They're also inspired by the Eon duo, Latios and Latias, which are also two sublegend Dragon-types with stronger forms (Megas).
Pokemon Name: Galaxea
Typing: Sky/Sea
Abilities: Hot Feet / Wave Crasher
Abilities (Complete form): Thick Skin
Stats: 100/85/95/90/95/105 (570)
Stats (Complete form): 110/95/125/120/135/85 (670)
Notable Moves:
Physical: Wave Splash, Ocean Tide, Striking Tide, Bright Ascent, Sky Split, Sky Punt, Starlight Crash
Special: Cascade, Tidal Wave, Seiken, Turbulence, Retribution, Heat Stroke, Holy Flame, Dew Shower
Status: Coral Cover, Borealis, Uproot, Balance Out, Hot Shower
Flavor Moves: Submerge, Rainy Season, Ocean Blast, Holy Water, Tailwind, Gentle Breeze, Zephyr, Take Cover, Refreshing Breeze, Banana Split, Beach Ball, Lucky Star
Weight (kg): 60.8 kg and 610.0 kg (Complete)
Name Origin: Galaxy + sea. Reference to the video game Monster Racers' Galaxtar, a legendary monster.
Dex Entries:
1: "It travels across the world to defeat a trio of Pokemon who can cause an imbalance across the galaxy and beyond."
2: "Legends say a large meteor fell from the sky, apparently containing this Pokemon. This Pokemon seems to have lost parts of its body when the meteor landed."
1 (Complete): "With its telepathic powers, it can feel its home planet is safe. If it feels any danger, it will transform into this powerful form and take action."
2 (Complete): "It's said that this Pokémon battles in order to protect a faraway ocean planet from a trio of even more powerful Pokemon."
Design Reference:
1649090863115.png

Base form should be similar to this design (Monster Racers' Galaxtar) but light blue-colored. Should have red feet (and maybe hands too) similar to burning meteors. Other ocean design elements like water drops or waves could be interesting.
Complete form should be a bulkier version of the design, with some similarities to Zygarde-Complete and the red/meteor part removed or reduced.
Pokemon Name: Pegathemum
Typing: Sky/Spring
Abilities: Sub Rosa / Tropical Spirit
Abilities (Complete): Sub Rosa
Stats: 100/90/105/85/95/95 (570)
Stats (Complete): 145/110/115/90/105/105 (670)
Notable Moves:
Physical: Spring Dance, Spring Forward, Swoop, Sky Punt, Squall, Luau Leap, Starlight Crash
Special: Growth Power, Blossom Out, Mighty Gale, Season Change, Retribution, Dew Shower, Season's End, Draining Roots
Status: Uproot, Balance Out, Floral Breeze, Hazy Moon, Prickly Bush, Sunflower Field, Rose Field
Flavor Moves: Sprout Smack, Season's Greetings, Rainy Season, Tailwind, Gentle Breeze, Zephyr, Take Cover, Refreshing Breeze, Lucky Star, Bare Fruit, Bramble Whip
Weight (kg): 187.0 kg and 392.0 kg (Complete)
Name Origin: Pegasus + Chrysanthemum. Reference to the video game Spectrobes' Pegatinium, a legendary monster.
Dex Entries:
1: "Pegathemum lives in the jungle treetops far above the ground and cannot be seen from the ground. It is highly intelligent and wields holy powers."
2: "Pegathemum emerged from a seed that came from space. It uses its powers to send signals into outer space."
1 (Complete): "It's said that this Pokémon was born in order to protect a faraway tropical planet from a trio of even more powerful Pokemon."
2 (Complete): "This Pegathemum form is said to resemble its creator. It uses its overwhelming power to suppress those who endanger the ecosystem of any planet."
Design Reference:
1649091548694.png

Base form should be similar to this design (Spectrobes' Pegatinium) but light pink-colored with yellow details. The wings should be like two halves of a flower, not necessarily Chrysanthemum because that might be too hard to draw. Other jungle plant designs like vines, seeds or wood could be interesting.
Complete form should be more like an Eastern dragon, with some similarities to Rayquaza. A much longer body, but still with 4 limbs and flower wings.
Context: Resubbing my main legend slate bois, but with changed typing, ability, moves and stats. So basically a big revamp!
fertiri.png

2: "Fertiri recklessly unleashes energy to the land year-round. Legends say people tried to contain it in the past, but the Pokemon remained calm and unshakeable."
WIP design, no image, sorry
Pokemon Name: Ruinne
Typing: Night/Spring
Abilities: Twilight Temperature / Fluffy Float
Twilight Temperature - While this Pokemon is active, Spring-type moves become Winter-type and Summer-type moves become Autumn-type.

tantton.png

Pokemon Name: Tantton
Typing: Manmade/Storm
Abilities: Fluffy Float / Bipolar
Stats: 90/80/100/120/100/80 (570)
Notable Moves:
Physical: Wild Punch, Binding Blade, Item Jack, Reckless Strike, Restrain, Headlock, Swift Strike

Flavor Moves: Take Cover, Universe Fate, Season's End, Hit, Twister, Balance Out, Hypnotize, Energy Field, Cut, Dystopia Reversal, Power Word, Bramble Whip
Weight (kg): 3 kg
Description: Fluffy Float abuser
Balanced offensive Storm-type because Manmade sucks, and it has none of Manmade's healing moves or busted set-up.

Flavor:
Dex 1: "An artificial Pokemon. Its power to capture other Pokemon is older than even the first Poke Ball. However, Tantton refuses to capture anything but specific targets."
Dex 2: "A Pokemon created long ago. Legends say its creators made it to contain something. This Pokemon acts erratic and violent, always eager to fulfill its creators' will."

Name: Oreyore (ore + yore)
Type: Earth/Folklore
Ability: Stone Skin
Stats: 105/125/150/80/70/50 (Total: 580)
Signature Move: Timeless Sword
- Type: Folklore
- Classification: Physical
- Power: 95
- Accuracy: 100
- PP: 10 (max 16)
- Effect: High crit ratio. If the foe is immune to Folklore attacks, this attack is considered to be Manmade type.
Moves: Aftershock, Binding Blade, Body Bash, Boulder, Crackling Mountain, Cut, Earth Bump, Earthquake, Fall Back, Geothermal Arm, Golem Throw, Guard Up, Intimidate, Iron Bash, Patient Pound, Power Pillar, Power Word, Reverse Time, Rubbles, Serene Slice, Solidify, Spectre Smash, Stone Hammer, Stone Wall, Terrain Strain, Wild Punch
Weight: 551.2 lbs (250 kg)
Flavor: A refined golem made of jagged rock, with metal anvil-like spines in places on its back, which face downward. A sword sticks out of the back of its head. Represents the Sword in the Stone, as well as the concept of the past. When using Timeless Sword, it grabs the hilt of the sword, pulls off its own head, and swings the sword with its head attached.
Dex Entry 1: An ancient stone being, lasting since times unknown. It is said to have been around since the times of legendary kingdoms.
Dex Entry 2: The sword in its back was said to once have been wielded by a king. In spite of this, the sword seems to be eternally contained, with no known way of removing it.

Name: Limnao (Limnad, a Greek lake spirit, + corruption of "now")
Type: Sea/Folklore
Ability: Counterswirl
Stats: 95/100/70/125/110/80 (Total: 580)
Signature Move: Timeless Sword (as above)

Weight: 150 lbs (68 kg)
Flavor: A water spirit, resembling a woman with a dress made of flowing water. Holds a sheathed sword close to its chest (it's the same sword as the one in the back of Oreyore). Meant to represent the Lady of the Lake, who, in at least one version of the Arthurian mythos, is said to take Excalibur from Arthur (or one of his servants that he instructed to toss it into the lake), and is also based on the present. When using Timeless Sword, temporarily unsheathes it, and slashes with a flourish before sheathing it again.
Dex Entry 1: Its rippling form shifts endlessly, yet it always seems to maintain a certain beauty to it, no matter the complexities of its shape.
Dex Entry 2: Paradoxically, it holds the sword also in the back of Oreyore and the hand of Excavalon. According to legends, this is its true, current location.

Name: Excavalon (Excalibur + Avalon)
Type: Sky/Folklore
Ability: Courageous
Stats: 95/115/80/100/80/110 (Total: 580)
Signature Move: Timeless Sword (as above)
Moves: Bright Ascent, Close Encounter, Crackling Mountain, Cyclone Shield, Dive Bomb, Dystopia Reversal, Enlighten, Gentle Breeze, Headwind, Holy Retreat, Mighty Gale, North Wind, Pure Sky, Purifying Flame, Refreshing Breeze, Retribution, Season Change, Serene Blade, Sky Split, Slipstream, Spring Forward, Squall, Strength Up, Summer Sword, Tearing Tornado, Turbulence, Universe Fate, Wind Drift
Weight: 51 lbs (23.1 kg)
Flavor: An angelic knight figure, who wields the sword in its hand. Based on the myth that King Arthur shall return from a place called Avalon (a paradise that could potentially be likened to heaven) in Britain's greatest time of need, as well as the future. When using Timeless Sword, it raises it up and forward in a pose, before bringing it down and a powerful rushing slash on the foe.
Dex Entry 1: Its visage inspires hope for the things to come. It looks ahead with confidence and is well known for thinking ahead in its battles.
Dex Entry 2: There has long been a tale of a legendary king returning to fight in a time of need. This Pokemon was likely created by this legend.

Gokaeru

Weight (kg): 80.0

Notable Moves:
Abyssal Slash, Creep Claw, Curse Blade, Drill Piercer, Item Jack, Leaves Down, Moon Blade, Serene Blade, Silver Bullet, Sly Slash, Underhanded Blow, Wave Splash
Cascade, Close Encounter, Crackling Mountain, Frost Blast, Headwind, Purifying Flame, Quick Read, Retribution, Seiken, Snow Shuriken
Blind Steal, Decoy, Eerie Spell, Pumpkin Field, Relax, Toxic Cloud

Flavor Moves:
Bubble Punch, Cut, Flake Rake, Hit, Kanchō, Lunacy, Peekaboo
Arctic Blast, Dew Shower, Moon Beam, Ocean Blast, Starfall, Zephyr
Chilling Breeze, Get Serious, Rainy Season, Tattle Tale

Description:
  • Blisteringly fast attacker. Access to Headwind makes it a great offensive pivot with its Speed.
  • Can sweep with the combination of Relax and Quick Read.
  • Good utility options in Item Jack, Sly Slash, Blind Steal, Eerie Spell, and Toxic Cloud.
  • Gokaeru unfortunately has a poor defensive profile and not a lot of bulk, making it difficult to switch-in.
"A legendary Pokémon as famous as it is mysterious. It only appears when a destructive enemy is causing strife."
"Having mastered many techniques over the centuries, this skillful Pokémon was a teacher to anyone it found worthy. It overcomes its foes with lightning-fast strikes."

Etymology: "Gōketsu" + "Gaeru"
Pronounced: "Goh-kay-roo"

Gōketsu is a Japanese word that can mean heroic, gallant, or masterful. Gaeru is simply the Japanese word for frog.

The hero of the story, Gokaeru is based on Jiraiya, the magical ninja who can command amphibians and shapeshift into a giant toad.

Himekuji
Typing:

Abilities: Blessed
Stats: 85 HP / 85 Atk / 115 Def / 95 SpA / 130 SpD / 70 Spe / 580 BST
Weight (kg): 50.0

Notable Moves:
Patient Pound, Sakura Strike, Sky Split, Soothing Strike, Spectre Smash, Spring Dance, Toxic Tentacles, Wave Splash
Aftershock, Cascade, Crackling Mountain, Dormant Power, Freeze Over, Frost Blast, Heatstroke, Mighty Gale, Narcotic Pulse, Purifying Flame, Seiken, Serene Blade, Shroom Fumes, Thunderclap
Balance Out, Cyclone Shield, Decoy, Eerie Spell, Enlighten, Relax, Rice Field, Soothing Tune, Tantalize, Uproot

Flavor Moves:
Hit, Sprout Smack
Arctic Blast, Cricket's Tune, Dew Shower, Gentle Breeze, Lucky Star, Moon Beam, Serene Shot, Starfall, Underworld Spring, Zephyr
Energy Field, Meditation, Mind Cleansing, Mind Shield, Rainy Season, Refreshing Breeze, Soil, Spore Burst, Take Cover, Tattle Tale, Toxic Cloud

Description:
  • Overall great bulk, decent offenses, wide coverage, and extensive support movepool makes Himekuji a potent tank that is able to stay in on offensive threats and trade blows.
  • Himekuji can rid itself of status with Soothing Tune and Sakura Strike, clear fields/Rubbles with Uproot, shut down status moves with Tantalize, and wear down the opponent with Eerie Spell.
  • Himekuji can use Relax to act as a bulky wincon. For physical setup; Patient Pound is a good, if slightly awkward, option.
  • Despite its good Special Attack and coverage, Himekuji is lacking in special STAB options, only having the partially delayed Crackling Mountain and Serene Blade, with latter able to turn into a physical attack anyway. This means Himekuji must go physical or mixed if it wants to use strong STAB attacks like Spectre Smash or Soothing Strike.
  • Himekuji also lacks any sort of recovery, leaving it easily worn down by hard-hitting attacks.
"A legendary Pokémon that is revered by all bug Pokémon. It scatters a sparkling dust that invigorates and restores the vitality of those who touch it."
"The sparkling veil it carries allows it tap into the heavens above. It unleashes shimmering beams of light and colorful explosions to strike down its enemies."

Etymology: "Hime" +"Namekuji"
Pronounced: "Hee-may-koo-shee"

Hime is Japanese for princess. Namekuji is Japanese for snail and slug (Japanese does not differentiate between the two).

The fair maiden, Himekuji is based on Tsunade, a master of slug magic who often rode on the back of a giant slug. Tsunade was Jiraiya's love interest and his greatest partner in battle.

Typing:

Abyssal Slash, Cataclysm, Frostbite, Iron Bash, Lunacy, Moon Blade, Rampage, Stone Hammer, Underhanded Blow
Aftershock, Blizzard, Chaos Moon, Close Encounter, Crackling Mountain, Demon Parade, Dormant Power, Freeze Over, Frost Blast, Ghostly Howl, Heat Stroke, Lurker Lash, Mighty Gale, Mononoke Dance, Snow Shuriken, Solar Flare, Swelter, Thunderclap
Decoy, Eerie Spell, Enrage, Pumpkin Field

Flavor Moves:
Cut, Flake Rake, Gloom Fangs, Hit, Peekaboo, Reckless Tackle
Arctic Blast, Jumpscare, Moon Beam, Polar Night, Starfall, Tidal Wave, Void
Chilling Breeze, Energy Field, Nightmare, Take Cover, Tattle Tale, Toxic Cloud

Description:
  • Good STABs, strong mixed offensive stats and wide coverage make Guroteserp a powerful breaker.
  • However, Guroteserp's STABs are split between the offensive spectrum, it only learns special Folklore-type attacks and only physical Storm-type attacks. As such, it must run mixed sets if it wants to run both of its STAB attacks.
  • Mediocre Speed and no recovery makes Guroteserp easily pressured offensively.
"A legendary Pokémon that was banished and sealed away. It was defeated by Gokaeru in a climatic duel centuries ago."
"Formerly Gokaeru’s greatest pupil, its venom is the most lethal of all Pokémon. It yearns to devour the sun, bringing the world into everlasting darkness."

Etymology: "Gurotesu" + "Serpent"
Pronounced: "Goo-roh-teh-sehrp"

Gurotesu is simply the word grotesque as would be pronounced in Japanese.

The beast abhored by all, Guroteserp is based on Orochimaru, a former disciple of Jiraiya who was overtaken by snake magic. Now stuck in the form of a venomous serpent, Orochimaru wishes to do nothing more than to cause strife for the heroic Jiraiya.

Guroteserp’s head adornment is meant to resemble a kabuto helmet, a kind of helmet worn by samurai.

I think the term is Minor Legends.

A legendary duo made up of two serpents that drive the change in seasons. Terrapent's influence turns Winter into Spring and eventually Summer, while Skyrm turns Summer into Autumn and then Winter. Terrapent tunnels underground while Skyrm is always flying in the sky. During the summer/winter months they move the other hemisphere to begin their work anew. In this way, they trace paths that mirror each other above and below the surface.

Terrapent
Type: Earth / Spring
Ability: Stone Skin
Stats: 120 / 100 / 105 / 90 / 85 / 65 | 565 BST
Movepool:
Rising Power: Physical, Summer-type Purification clone that changes Spring into Summer
Physical: Stone Hammer, Stone Wall, Turf Control, Terrain Strain, Spring Forward, Sakura Strike, Item Jack, Gloom Fangs
Special: Draining Roots, Earthquake, Growth Power, Daisy Chain, Zen Power,
Status: Rubbles, Power Pillar, Sunbathe, Petrify, Rose Field, Rainy Season,
Flavor: Cotton Field, Rice Field, High Noon, Sunflower Field, (WIP)
Design: Stone serpent with a mane of vines and flowers.
Reasoning: I wanted to make this duo as very bulky utlity pokemon that could help form balance cores in the metagame. Terrapent can serve as a physical or mixed wall with a variety of support capabilities and good matchups against some of our Manmade and Winter pokemon (not Solamateru). It's reliant on draining moves for recovery, but with its immense bulk and support movepool it should be able to justify its presence. It has a lot of powerful/supportive STAB moves at its disposal.

Skyrm
Type: Sky / Autumn
Ability: Celestial
Stats: 120 / 90 / 85 / 100 / 105 / 65 | 565 BST
Movepool:
Waning Power: Winter-type Purification clone that changes Autumn into Winter
Physical: Sky Split, Wind Drift, Horde, Leaves Down, Reap, Item Jack, Gloom Fangs,
Special: Mighty Gale, North Wind, Headwind, Turbulence, All-Day Harvest, Dormant Power, Purification,
Status: Withering Breeze, Wilt, Uproot,
Flavor: Snowfall, Pumpkin Field, (WIP)
Design: White-feathered, flying serpent with bird wings.
Reasoning: Another bulky support pokemon with a different set of options. It can remove hazards, slow pivot, and support teammates with Dormant Power and Withering Breeze. It has a considerably better healing option in Wilt, but also a 4x weakness to Winter moves. Turbulence is a boon for it, allowing it to check Serenity types.

You may now vote! Vote for your three favorites, most to least preferred. You can only put your own submission in your third spot, and the two submissions with the most votes will win.

Final Slate - The Rest of the Dex
hope you guys are ready lmao

This is probably the loftiest part of this mod, I'll be asking that everyone use this spreadsheet as a template to submit. You have 12 open slots that are going to both fully evolved and not fully evolved Pokemon. You don't have to use all of them if you don't want to, but I will be giving A LOT of time for this just to be sure everyone has the time to do what they want. Other than that, only one new custom is allowed per person this slate, make sure everything is balanced, and I'd like to ask that at least two of your Pokemon have pre evolutions. That's about it though! I don't know exactly when I'll close this because of just how much someone has to do if they really wanted to fill out all 12 of their spots but you'll have at least a week.

You have one more week to finish subs! I'd like to encourage you all to post your WIPs now so balance can be discussed and help can be given on our Discord server.
