Favorite Attack Animation

Anything used by Mr. Mime for me. Just about any move animation with him amuses me. Fissure is also pretty cool when the ground completely opens up and sucks in the opponent.

I've seen a lot of people say that they're disappointed by Sacred Fire, but I think it looks awesome! Blue fire is much hotter than orange fire, and the way that one fireball explodes into a bonfire makes it look so volatile. Not every Fire-type move has to be a huge explosion of rolling, red-hot flames.

If it's about blue fire, then I prefer Blue Flare personally. Sacred Fire is meh IMO.

Ever since i used scolipede in gen 5, i have always loved steamroller, its animation is awesome and has an amazing name. Its looks are really underapreciated

The Brave Bird animation kind of reminds me of a very up-graded version of Sky Attack from the original Pokemon Stadium (where the Pokemon would morph into a bird made of fire and dash at the opponent, looked especially cool from Moltres).

I forgot who mentioned this above, but yes, Bolt Strike and Fusion Bolt look quite similar unlike in last gen, where Bolt Strike's electricity was yellow and Fusion Bolt's was blue, where now they're both blue. Still, I love the close-up of the Pokemon before Bolt Strike hits.

Don't know if someone else already mentioned this, but Aeroblast animation is almost as good as its Gen II counterpart (Which is still my favorite). No more crappy blades of wind!

EDIT: Just remembered that those pesky wind blades are still there. Ugh...At least there's a beam again.

From what I've seen? Extremespeed is up there. It really conveys the feeling of moving too fast for the naked eye to see. I didn't really get that with Gen III, IV, or V. I also just love the sound of Close Combat. Hell, many attacks just felt so... potent. Especially since I had my 3DS hooked up to my computer speakers or headphones 95 percent of the time.

The first time I saw my Froakie use Water Pulse, though, that's when I knew I was in for a good game. When he used Surf for the first time as a Greninja, I was giddy. His pose honestly made it look like some kind of water jutsu.

Maybe there should be another thread for which pokemon looks the best doing a given move.

I must say, Trick Room looks... interesting. It basically turns the battlefield into a disco floor!

And then my Pokemon get wrecked because they're fast and frail.

Delphox's Mystical Fire is something that seems to mark enemies for doom, as it either one-shots them or cripples the enemy, my favorite tactic against other Sp. Atk. Pokemon. I've always feared Brave Bird, and the animation makes me REALLY not get hit by it. Then add in Psyshock. At the stage I'm in, it just simply crushes the target within countless tiny Psychic particles. Earthquake now looks like total realism. It was one of my favorite moves. In just one game, they add in so much it's almost like I've lost contact with the outside world. There's already been a lot mentioned that I could probably note, so I won't repeat too many.
I should also include the B/W cooler-looking moves. Most notable for myself is Blue Flare and Bolt Strike, of course.

Managed to get a couple of sig moves through metronome and recorded them. Here's the list of the videos but i don't remember which sig move is in which: http://pastebin.com/EhZG7zhT

Sacred Fire's animation is kinda lame
Aeroblast's is nothing special
Psycho Boost is solid
Doom Desire is great
Luster Purge hasnt looked good since Gen 3
Lunar Dance is okay
Judgment is amazing
Head Charge is excellent
Fusion Bolt and Bolt Strike look similar so I didn't quite notice the difference the first time around. They're both fantastic, however
Fusion Flare is fantastic too.
Land's Wrath is very cool...too bad it's a worse EQ except in doubles >_<.

Bloopers:
Roar of Time failed (Fairies...)
Seed Flare missed
Dark Void was always blocked >.>
Not really I think, luster purge has a quite epic animation in gen IV

Dragon Dance looks...just so epic. There's no real dancing involved, but the way it looks like the Pokemon is charging up its power to unleash utter hell is so cool. On that note, Outrage. Kind of wished Dragonite kept its angry face long enough to see it once the camera shows the front of the otherwise friendly pseudo-legendary, but seeing the opponent relentlessly laid into is awesome.

I also enjoy Blaziken using Sky Uppercut, and how it actually looks like its delivering an uppercut as the animation plays and the opponent is thrown into the air a bit before falling back down hard.

Play Rough seems so cute for something so destructive.

Sadly, it seems like any multi-hit move aside from Water Shuriken sucks so bad in terms of attack animation... Then again, I've yet to see them all so...
