No mention of Camphrier Town and the routes along it? Name Rater, Daycare... Long ass path to hatch eggs and conveniently, Connecting Cave (HP EV training with Whismur)

Oh yeah, and there's that battle building thing wit the old rich folks for quick cash if you need it for the Daycare

The only thing I don't like about that area is the music. It literally drives me nuts hearing the first 20 seconds over and over while collecting eggs.

That, and the game having the sun come up at 4 AM. Like it's trying to tell me something.
 
I like the E4 rooms, they're amazing...but the place that I really like is Anistar City, I like the Giant Sun Dial! also other places are route 15-16 for the music and the Frost Cavern.

^ This. It's also within walking/skating/riding distance of Lumiose (so you don't need to carry around a flier for daily events like Berry Juice and the Lotto ID), and the Berry Farm is nearby to boot. It's just generally a great homebase and place to hang out.
 
I know it's been said before, but the Sundial place in Anistar. I was waiting for 8:00 to get some mega stones, so I decided to wait in the area until it was time. Seeing the dial start up slowly until it was fully in motion was a sight to behold.
 
I absolutely love the music of route 8.

Laverre City is quite charming too; definitely carries an otherworldly fairy-tale feeling, fitting for the home of a Fairy gym.

Also Geosenge, because you can take a picture in front of the Ultimate Weapon.

And the Goomys/ies are cool too! I don't care if Goodra is not that compatible with Pokebank, Goomy forever!
 
Route 14 and 19 are forever ruined to me.

Route 19 is always raining. So you can't EV your mons there.

Route 14 has this one tiny piece of grass after going through a ton of swamp where you can Sweet Scent Bellsprout.

Also it takes so damn long to find a Haunter. And I still don't have Zweilous or Shuckle (thanks Victory Road...).

I never get why people keep getting rained on in Route 19. I train usually during the night and its never rained that often for me.

Actually can I change / add to my answer?? I got bored of endless cycling in Lumiose to hatch my eggs, then I remembered the bike track in Cyllage! I actually really enjoy doing laps of it, kinda makes me wish they actually hosted a race there. Grant teases you with the idea when you meet him too!

Also not really a location, but I did enjoy walking into Mewtwo's cave and seeing him standing there facing away. I taunted him a bit by running laps around him, he didn't seem to notice much. Then that old RBY style music to cap it off! Bit of a shame I used the Masterball on him though, it cut the experience short..
 
I actually liked Kiloude City the most out of all of them. It kind of had a Delfino Plaza feeling to it, which is pretty nice after all!
 
Laverre City is my favorite. It's all quiet and the gym has the best looking trainers in the game! Plus the boutique has the best clothing options in my opinion.
 
Honestly, it's probably easier to list off what locations I don't like. I mean, the entire region is centered around the theme of beauty, and it encapsulates that quite nicely. I'd say Anistar City is my favorite for it's theme alone, but it's a really neat town with nice atmosphere nonetheless.

I'm actually looking through a list of locations just to try to remember what wouldn't be up for consideration.

  • Route 1, for being literally the least interesting route ever.
  • Chamber of Emptiness, while cool, is currently super disappointing. I hope it gets fleshed out in DLC or a new game.
  • Terminus Cave, for being a boring cave with no distinguishing characteristics aside from Zygarde (coincidentally the most disappointing legendary,) hiding deep within. It's not like Zygarde is even a challenge.

Kalos is just a really neat region overall.
 
Probably Route 8 and Route 14. Route 8 for just being a massive route, in terms of the towering cliffs, then the beach along the base, and Route 14 for being a creepy swamp.
