Hi I'm new to competitive battling and I'm training for the competition in my town next month! Tell me what you think of my team!

248.gif

Tyranitar w/ Rock Gem

Ablility: Sand Stream
Nature: Brave
EVs: 252 Atk|252 HP
Moves:
-Crunch
-Rock Slide
-Outrage
-Protect

My tyranitar is my favorite pokemon, and he is my first tank. His crunch is deadly, and his rock slide can seriously damage fire and flying types. His outrage is for opposing dragon types, and having Protect helps.

Hitmontop w/ Fighting Gem

Ablility: Intimidate
Nature: Brave
EVs: 252 Atk|252 HP
Moves:
-Close Combat
-Sucker Punch
-Fake Out
-Wide Guard

Hitmontop is a great addition to my team, his Close Combat can almost 1HKO average pokemon, and his Fake Out can help when I see an immediate danger for my Tyranitar or Zapdos. His Wide Guard also helps, stopping dangers from killing my tyranitar with earth quake.

Cresselia w/ Leftovers

Ablility: Levitate
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 Defense|252 HP
Moves:
-Helping Hand
-Moonlight
-Icy Wind
-Safeguard

Cresselia is good for helping her team mates, and sets up useful things like safeguard, since I see a lot of paralyzers in my battles. She can take most hits and has great defense, so she just sits and adds support.

609.gif

Chandelure w/ Fire Gem

Ablility: Flash Fire
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 SAtk|252 HP
Moves:
-Heat Wave
-Shadow Ball
-Protect
-Energy Ball

My chandelure is helpful for support, he can tackle any annoying ghosts and opposing chandelure's, and he can also take on any steel types who try to take out the rest of my team.

145.gif

Zapdos w/ Electric Gem
Ablility: Pressure
Nature: Modest
EVs: 140 HP / 252 SpA / 116 Spe
Moves:
-Discharge
-Thunderbolt
-Heat Wave
-Protect

Zapdos is the second tank of the team, taking out most water types and hurting two at a time. If all else fails, he poisons them, which coupled with the sandstorm leaves the opponent out to dry.

272f.gif

Ludicolo w/ Grass Gem
Ablility: Swift Swim
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 Speed / 252 SAttack
Moves:
-Giga Drain
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Fake Out

Ludicolo is one of my main pokemon, taking out rock types, dragon types, and putting big hurt on the rest. He's new in the team and very useful.

Thanks!

A couple suggestions. scizor should probably be brave, and i like having choice band on him, because all the boosts to bullet punch make it a 120 base power priority attack. Also, I think you should probably swap a couple of the pokemon you have for a more sandstorm based team. i reccomend gastrodon, if your set on making it a trick room team.

Also, hidden power grass or ice would be good on zapdos, and you probably wont be needing tailwind on zapdos, so i would go with roost.

And it would be helpful if you said the type of battle this team will be used for, and what the last 4 ev`s went into.

And a 252 hp tyranitar with the special defence boost from sandstorm wont be needing a focus sash. I reccomend chople berry or lum/persim berry.

Sorry, im new to this whole thing.

Your Pokémon need descriptions as per the rules. It's hard to rate without knowing what exactly you're trying to do.

@ultra buff dude: It'd actually be 135 power, but most Choice sets don't work very well in doubles because of how hard it is to switch, and not being able to use Protect on something with a 4x weakness is risky.
Edit: also, please use the "Edit" button on your post instead of making three posts in a row.

Okay so I edited the post and added a Gastrodon! I don't really know much about it so I mainly took from the smogon page, how is it? And I also fixed tyranitar's berry.

Descriptions could stand to be a little longer, but that's enough to start with. The team itself seems pretty standard, but everything's a little slow so you might have trouble with fast attackers if you aren't able to set up Trick Room. Also, most of your Pokémon have an extra 4 EVs you haven't used.

Tyranitar doesn't really have much use for Outrage. The common Dragons (Latios, Garchomp, and to an extent Salamence and Dragonite) all either outspeed and KO it or are already hit hard by one of its other attacks, and Outrage is especially dangerous in doubles since you can't control which opponent it hits. Since you have two Pokémon immune to Earthquake, that might be an option, or maybe Ice Beam if you really hate Garchomp. Low Kick is also good if you have access to 4th gen tutors or don't mind trading.

Hitmontop's Life Orb will hurt its bulk, especially with Fake Out not doing significant damage either way. I'd recommend either Fighting Gem if you really want that powerful Close Combat (it probably won't get to use it more than one or two times in an average battle anyway) or Eject Button for more free Fake Outs and Intimidates.

On Cresselia, Bold and 252 SpD seems like it's inefficient, but I'm not very good at defensive EVs so I can't say too much about that. Toxic is bad because of the general fast pace of doubles, and your team is pretty offensive, so maybe try Helping Hand or Light Screen or some other supporting move instead.

Scizor: if possible, Bug Bite is more powerful than X-Scissor and has an extra effect that will let you steal the occasional Sitrus Berry or whatever. And why no item? If nothing else, Occa Berry never hurts.

Zapdos should have Thunderbolt instead of Discharge, since only one Pokémon on your team is immune and several lack Protect (trust me on this one, I lost in round 1 of the Worlds LCQ last year because of a misclick followed by Discharge paralysis hax on my own Pokémon). I also have to question the value of the Speed EVs, since it's still slower than a lot of stuff out of Trick Room and now is also "slower" than a lot of other stuff in Trick Room.

Gastrodon is pretty standard, though since you already have Intimidate and good physical bulk in general it might be better off with a specially bulky spread.

As voodoo pimp mentioned, your descriptions are a bit lacking, make them a bit longer please. Also, I suggest you lurk a bit more as it seems you don't know game that well.

Changes in BOLD.

Tyranitar w/ Chople Berry

Ablility: Sand Stream
Nature: Brave
EVs: 252 Atk|252 HP 4 Def
Moves:
-Crunch
-Rock Slide
-Low Kick
-Protect

237.gif

Hitmontop w/ Fighting Gem

Ablility: Intimidate
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Atk|252 HP 4 Def
Moves:
-Close Combat
-Sucker Punch
-Fake Out
-Wide Guard

488.gif

Cresselia w/ Leftovers

Ablility: Levitate
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 Defense|252 HP 4 SpD
Moves:
-Helping Hand
-Psychic
-Icy Wind
-Safeguard

Cresselia is good for helping her team mates, and sets up useful things like safeguard, since I see a lot of paralyzers in my battles. She can take most hits and has great defense, so she just sits and adds support.

609.gif

Chandelure w/ Fire Gem

Ablility: Flash Fire
Nature: Modest
EVs: 252 SAtk|252 HP 4Spe
Moves:
-Heat Wave
-Shadow Ball
-Protect
-Hidden Power [Ice]

145.gif

Zapdos w/ Electric Gem
Ablility: Pressure
Nature: Modest
EVs: 140 HP / 252 SpA / 116 Spe
Moves:
-Thunder Wave
-Thunderbolt
-Heat Wave
-Protect

272f.gif

Ludicolo w/ Grass Gem
Ablility: Swift Swim
Nature: Modest
EVs: 4 Hit Points 252 Speed / 252 SAttack
Moves:
-Giga Drain
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Fake Out

TTar:
Chople lets you survive Close Combats and other Fighting moves.
Low Kick lets you hit other TTars and Heatrans.
Added 4 more EVs that you can add.

Hitmontop:
It's not a Trick Room team, so the small speed boost w/ Adamant is pretty useful for the speed tie w/ other Hitmontops
Added 4 more EVs that you can add.

Cress:
STAB is always great. Lets you hit Hitmontop too.
Added 4 more EVs that you can add.

Chande:
Not running Scarf or 252 Spe? Modest for the power.
Energy Ball isn't hitting anything important other Pokemon are getting. Gastrodon is really bulky and lives +1 max SpA Ludicolo's Giga Drain, it's gonna take Energy Ball. HP Ice is great coverage.
Added 4 more EVs that you can add.

Zapdos:
Discharge either A) hurts Ally or B) forces you to use predict and can put you in a bad position the next turn.
T-Wave always paralyzes. If they have a lot of waters, Zapdos + Ludicolo will take care of em.

Ludicolo:
You don't outpace anything really important w/ Timid if you're not in Rain. Modest is better for damage.
Added 4 more EVs that you can add.

i suggest changing your hitmontop to standard technician top.

hitmontop
adamant
252 hp,252 attack, 4 def.
moves: bullet punch, fake out, close combat, pursuit

cc for excellent STAB, taking out blissey and t-tar, pursuit to take out ghost types and psychics, bullet punch for priority and boost tech., and fake out for boost and flinch

Pursuit is worthless in doubles, and there's few reasons to use Bullet Punch instead of Mach Punch. And why give up Sucker Punch and Wide Guard?

Tyranitar @ Chople Berry (if you dont have one use Lum Berry)

Ablility: Sand Stream
Nature: Brave
EVs: 252 Attack/252 HP/4 Def
Moves:
-Crunch
-Rock Slide
-Low Kick
-Protect

Low Kick will help cover more and Outrage isn't very useful on T-Tar

Hitmontop @ Fight Gem
Technician
Adamant
252 Attack/100 HP/156 SpDef

Fake Out
Mach Punch
Sucker Punch
Wide Guard

This is the Hitmontop i use, if you want to keep Intimidate just change Mach Punch to Close Combat. The EV spread helps him survive more hits than the usual Hitmontop without sacrificing attack power. The Fight Gem gives you that super boosted Mach Punch which has helped me out quite a few times and if you are under Trick Room then you can abuse Sucker Punch and Mach Punch without slowing down Hitmontop. I use Adamant even with my Trick Room team so he can handle in and out of Trick Room. If you do stick with Intimidate though, you could try messing around with Eject Button or even White Herb for CC's stat drop.

Cresselia w/ Leftovers

Ablility: Levitate
Nature: Relaxed
EVs: 252 HP/160 Def/84 SAtk/12 SDef
Moves:
-Helping Hand
-Psychic
-Icy Wind
-Safeguard

STAB Psychic, spread EVs for better bulk and helps it survive longer.

Chandelure - use Trick Room instead of Energy Ball, TR lets you reverse the opponents TR or make your own if necessary. Energy Ball isn't very useful on Chandelure.

Zapdos - use Sitrus Berry for health or a Yache Berry to protect against Ice weakness. Also moveset try not to use both Discharge and Thunderbolt. Choose one only and use Hidden Power Ice or Grass, if not then use Tailwind to help speed up your team even more.

Ludicolo could use an Absorb Bulb if you plan to switch into water attacks.
