ORAS OU First OU team (offensive)

As the title implies, this is my first OU team, so hopefully it isn't a complete trainwreck, which is what I'm trying to avoid before taking it into showdown cause I'm probably missing something huge here... anyways, here goes

Charizard-Mega-X @ Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 72 HP / 252 Atk / 184 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Flare Blitz
- Roost

The Mega of the team, DD Charizard X can do nasty work on teams once his checks are out of the way. The speed investment lets him outspeed all base 80 pokemon and at +1 outspeeds all non boosted mons and scarfed Lando-T and Excadrill. Rest of the EVs were thrown into Atk for max damage output and the remains into HP.

Excadrill @ Air Balloon
Ability: Sand Rush
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 220 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide
- Rapid Spin

Excadrill checks a lot of Charizard X's weak points. In the sand, he's one of the fastest pokemon in the meta. My team is very weak to EQ switches so the Air Baloon helps mitigate that. He also doubles as my spinner of choice, desperately needed on this team.

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 164 HP / 252 Atk / 92 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Superpower (Knock Off?)
- Waterfall

Banded Azumarill is a very scary pokemon, hitting over 650 Atk after Huge Power and Band boosts. He can OHKO major threats such as Mega Sableye, (Mega-)Tyranitar, Lando-T (after intimidate), etc. and can still make big holes in a bunch of other mons.

Tyranitar @ Smooth Rock
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 248 HP / 80 Def / 180 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Pursuit
- Ice Beam

TTar helps with setting stones and summoning sand. Smooth Stone helps Excadrill turn into a sweeper and EVs let him survive quite a lot of moves, save for Fighting type. He can still do quite a bit of damage with his STAB moves despite being a defensive pokemon and Ice Beam helps with coverage.

Tangrowth @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Knock Off
- Earthquake
- HP fire/ice

A lot of my team is weak to water so Tangrowth helps absorb water type moves. He also walls efficiently Keldeo and is another safe EQ switch in in case the balloon poped. Leaf Storm gives him quite a powerful attack without any investments ans Knock Off helps with his utility.

Kyurem-Black @ Life Orb
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 20 Atk / 252 SpA / 236 Spe
Mild Nature
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power
- Fusion Bolt
- Roost

As much as I hate legendaries in teams (mostly because I don't have the resources to get them in-game) they do have their uses and Kyu-b is no exception. Extremely strong and gives out great mixed coverage. The set is pretty standard, I decided on Roost over Substitute for personal preference.

Pretty great team. Breloom definitely doesn't see much usage and the way you use it is pretty genius. My problem with this team is opposing Mega Charizard X as if it's fully invested into speed, it could be an early problem. I also see that Taunt talonflame is a problem if you can't predict its usage. A huge problem I have noticed is the Weakness policy dragonite as it gets up a free DD because of multiscale and that thing also gets access to roost, making it a nightmare. I suggest making a more bulky Charizard to compensate and also replacing Kyurem for either Clefable or Keldeo.

Hello, its not a bad team but its not good aswell,it have many flaws :

  • Cofagrigus isn't viable in the ORAS OU metagame.
  • No Stealth Rocks in your team which is a very important move in the game
  • Lati@s is a big threat for your team since Sylveon isn't really a reliable check since it can be 2HKO and Excadrill too since Lati@s have acces to hidden power fire.
  • You are using Kyurem-B/Charizard without entry hazard removal which is pretty annoying
  • 6-0 d By common threats(Zard-X/Latios)
  • I don't think Sylveon is pretty good in this team, same for Breloom.
Most of Zard-X checks/counter are weak to Grass type attack which mean Breloom work well against them i agree but Serperior is doing the work better than him(It can beat Landorus-T because Leaf Storm is a special attack) and it can also lure Heatran which counter you Charizard-X by using the hidden power ground on the Serperior.
Entry Hazard remover is mendatory when you are using Charizard-X,Starmie/Lati@s are the best for that if you are using Zard-X(Excadrill can also work if you are using a sand streamer).
Latios is a huge threat to Charizard-X,Using a trapkiller(Tyranitar/Bisharp) a Steel type which don't care too much about coverage move even if they hit for super effective damage(Jirachi SpeDef) or using Fairy Types/Steel types to play around it(Ferrothorn + Azumarill).
In your team you need a check/counter/revenge killer to Zard-X(Landorus-T/Slowbro/Hippowdon)

Anyway i think you should building another team but this time with using Zard-X + Serperior as main core, using stealth rock/having a good entry hazard remover which can work well with your Zard-X and a way to deal with Lati@s.

This is all i got.

switched up a few things, team looks like this now

Kyurem-Black @ Life Orb
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 96 Atk / 252 SpA / 160 Spe
Rash Nature
- Fusion Bolt
- Earth Power
- Ice Beam
- Roost

Charizard-Mega-X @ Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 72 HP / 252 Atk / 184 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Flare Blitz
- Roost

Serperior @ Meadow Plate
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Dragon Pulse
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Substitute

Excadrill @ Life Orb
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide
- Rapid Spin

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 164 HP / 252 Atk / 92 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Superpower
- Knock Off

Tyranitar @ Focus Sash
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Fire Blast
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt

Right now all of Kyurem-b's moves are covered my other mons (tyranitar and excadrill) so not sure if he should also hit the block or if I should change up my sets?

Sup,Ah now its look like better but we need to change some set :

Tyranitar with the Focus Sash is really useless,Use Chople Berry i think,Since you are using Tyranitar with Zard-X i would say pursuit is mendatory.
Maybe using leftovers in your Serperior its a better idea.

Tyranitar @ Chople Berry
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs:
Jolly/Hasty/Lonely Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Pursuit
- Ice Beam
- Crunch/Stone Edge/Fire Blast

Try to find good spread (For exemple since you are using Ice Beam, enough speed to outspeed defensive Landorus-T sounds good)

Tyranitar @ Chople Berry
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 16 HP / 84 Def / 156 SpA / 252 Spe
Rash Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Pursuit
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt

252 neutral natured speed outspeeds neutral 8 EV Lando-T and I have enough SpA to OHKO a bulky one, can 2HKO non AV azumarills

It can survive a drain punch from 252+ conk and superpower from 252 lando-T and has a 13/16 chance to survive EQ from lando-T

Hi quid nice team , I'd like to rate this team..

  • First of all Smooth Rock Tyranitar > Chople Berry Tyranitar , Chople berry Tyranitar is Pretty useless , smooth rock ttar gives your Excadrill more turns to sweep , and more bulk helps you to deal with Electric types.

  • Secondly I think Sand Rush Excadrill > Mold Breaker Excadrill , It helps Excadrill to late game sweep and provides you one more win-con.

  • I don't know what do u trying to do with that evs on Kyurem-Black , change it to the standard one i.e. give it more speed.

  • Also you lacks Scald switch-in and bulky water switch-in , so I think Tangrowth > Serperior , it provides you a scald switch-in and a wall to deal with Keldeo. Tangrowth also provides you a Earthquake switch-in which is you are seriously weak to.

  • At last I think you can try Air Balloon > Life orb on Excadrill as you looks pretty weak to Earthquake , i.e. a Scarfed Lando-T can easily late game sweep you. And helps you against other sand teams which you r very weak to.

Kyurem-Black @ Life Orb
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 20 Atk / 252 SpA / 236 Spe
Mild Nature
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power
- Fusion Bolt
- Roost / Outrage

Tangrowth @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Leaf Storm / Giga Drain
- Knock Off
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power Ice / Hidden Power Fire / Rock Slide

Tyranitar @ Smooth Rock
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 248 HP / 80 Def / 180 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Pursuit
- Ice Beam

Excadrill @ Air Balloon
Ability: Sand Rush
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide
- Rapid Spin

Hope I helped :].

P.S. : For evs or set details , feel free to pm me.
