Gettings distinquished members of the Smogon forums. Yet another noob here joining your ranks and attempting to post my humble and unorigional attempt at a coherent team. I've lurked around a lot of boards for quite some time, so I know all the terminology and stuff, just need some help hammering out the details of my own team.

That said, all comments are welcome, even flames if you believe the team sucks hard enough, I don't pretend to be an expert so just let me know what you think.

Lead:
Gengar (m) @ focus sash
Timid Nature
EV - 4hp, 252atk, 252 speed
Hypnosis
Destiny Bond
Shadow Ball
Focus Blast

I used to lead with Bronzong, but I had found that setting up either rocks or trying to hypnosis with him was largely futile as so many leads nowadays go for a taunt. Hypnosis things I should be faster than that i cant hit SE. Shadow Ball and Focus blast for coverage. I've just always been a fan of destiny bond, and i find a lot of people don't expect it. With Gengar's sad excuse for defense most heavy hitters shouldn't have much trouble taking him out, so with a little prediction I hope to be able to take down one of the enemy sweepers

The multi-purpose wall
Bronzong @ Leftovers
Levitate
Sassy Nature
EV - 252 hp, 100 def, 156 sp.def
Gyro Ball
Earthquake
Hypnosis / Light Screen
Explosion / Stealth Rock

Bronzong is a pokemon that I'm not entirely sure what to do with, but I know i want on the team. Gyro Ball is an obvious pick, and Earthquake allows me to do big damage if anyone decides to bring in a fire type such as Heatran. The other two moves i'm not sure on. With Platinum reducing the accuracy of Hypnosis to 60%, on top of Gengar's low survival rate I'm highly tempted to keep it as a back up in case Gengar can't get the sleep off. With no true recovery outside of leftovers, once his health gets down Bronzong won't be able to do much, so exploding is nice, but Stealth Rock has proven itself to be invaluable in many cases. not sure on the EV's either, i just went for max hp and putting the rest into defenses. help here would be greatly apprieciated

Bulky Water
Milotic (f) @ leftovers
Calm nature
EV - 252 hp, 200 def, 56 sp.def
rest
sleep talk
surf
ice beam

Milotic is one of the team members i'm not entirely sure about. Thanks to Marvel Scale rest/talk milotic is quite the tank, already having the special defense needed, but then throwing on the defense as well. I've stalled out quite a few pokes with this thing. However, i'm constantly plauged with the thought that CMcune would be able to do the same job far batter. Is there really any benefit to using rest/talk milotic over Suicune, or should i just make the switch?

The special tank
Zapdos @ leftovers
Bold Nature
EV's - 252 hp, 160 def, 96 speed
Roost
Substitute
Discharge
Hidden Power ice

Subroosting Zapdos can be hard to take down with pressure sapping pp for the power moves. I decided to go with Discharge over Thunderbolt to take advantage of its 30% para rate. The loss off power isn't as big a deal since this Zapdos won't be sweeping anytime soon anyway. HP ice is of course for bolt/beam, and even without Garchomp there are more than enough targets for it. EV's allow it to outspeed Lucario, take a few hits, and hopefully cripple it with Para

The Physical Sweeper
Tyranitar (m) @ Choice Band / Life Orb
Jolly Nature
EV - 4hp, 252 atk, 252 speed
Pursuit / Dragon Dance
Crunch
Stone Edge
Earthquake

Tyranitar has been my absolute favorite pokemon since it appeared in GS, so i'm really hoping it can fit in the team. My problem however is deciding to run it as a Choice Bander or Dragon Dance. I'm usually hesitant to go with the choice items because I've never liked being locked into a move and thus usually being forced to switch out. However, Choice Band Pursuit is really almost to good to pass up. Being able to just get in, do big damage, and get out is a big plus. However, two dragon dances and almost nothing will be able to really take hits, especially with life orb powering it up further.

Late Game Sweeper
Salamence (m) @ yeche Berry
Jolly Nature
EV - 4hp, 252 atk, 252 speed
Dragon Dance
Outrage
Earthquake
fire fang / flamethrower / roost

first and foremost, yes, it's a watered down version of YecheChomp. I was all for the banning of him, however it did still leave a nice big hole in my team. Thankfully Platinum has spread outrage around, so now Salamence is a worthwhile replacement. I'm hoping its alright to use platinum movesets, even though it hasn't been released in the US yet.
anyway, DD and Outrage are a given, and Earthquake is for Heartran who has been becoming increasingly popular. My only real question is in the last moveslot. Without a fire move he is completly walled by Skarm/Zong, but Roost allows him to recover off the health lost while switching into stealth rock or damage taken while DD'ing. Not sure what to do here.

So, thank you for bearing with me. All comments are welcome. glad to have joined the forums

People would rate your team, if it were not for Salamence. Since Platinum hasn't been released, you shouldn't pay any attention to the rumors about Outrage. Anyways.... Deoxys-e messes up your team so badly, it's not funny. Same with weavile. In place of milotic, I suggest this metagross. Metagross@ Lum berry Adamant 112 HP/180 Atk/218 Spd Clear Body -Bullet Punch -Pursuit -Explosion/Meteor Mash -Earthquake
