Nature: Jolly
EVs:
-Leaf Blade

Omastar(male)@Leftovers>>Special Sweeper

197_Umbreon.png

Umbreon(male)@Leftovers>>Annoyer/Baton Passer Lead
Ability: Synchrconize
Nature: Gentle
EVs: 252hp/ 4def/ 252spdef
-Moonlight
-Mean Look
-Baton Pass
-Taunt

My lead that starts me off well. I will weaken as many Pokemon possible and help out my sweepers w/ fast Umbreon.

Use Bold or Calm. There's no use in running a Nature that lowers your Defense unless you're a fast mixed attacker. Note that it's a common principle to get Umbreon up to 222 Speed to use Taunt, but that's up to the user. I HIGHLY recommend that you not lead off with this.

254.png

Sceptile(male)@Leftovers>>Physical Sweeper
Ability: Overgrowth
Nature: Timid
EVs:
-Leaf Blade
-Substitute
-Endeavor/Leech Seed/Thunderpunch/Crunch
-Hidden Power [Ice/Fire]

Yeah, he basically does same job like Omastar but a little bit better.

This is a better set. You can use Petaya with any option, but with Endeavor you can also use Shell Bell if you choose. Sceptile isn't that great of a physical sweeper.

139_Omastar.png

Omastar(male)@Leftovers>>Special Sweeper
Nature: Modest
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs:
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Rain Dance
-Hidden Power [Grass/Electric]/Spikes/Toxic

My okay water type. He will do damage to any immediate threats.

Omastar's Earthquake doesn't hit Hard. At All.
jirachi.gif

Jirachi(genderless)@Leftovers>>Special Wall
Ability: Serene Grace
Nature: Adamant
EVs:
-Doom Desire
-Wish
-Protect
-Body Slam

A special wall. protect, doom desire, heal, body slam repeat.

While this set has been proven to work somewhat, I'd like to remind you that it doesn't make Jirachi a special wall. To be honest, you probably want the standard Calm Mind/Psychic/Wish/Thunder(bolt) moveset with a Modest nature.

BioPikachu.jpg

Pikachu(male)@Light Ball>>Light Ball Sweeper
Ability: Bashful
Nature:
EVs:
-Volt Tackle
-Surf
-Encore/Thunder Wave/Hidden Power [Grass/Ice]
-Substitute

Good ole Pikachu light ball sweeper will zap and drown many types quickly.

It won't be living long enough to use Light Screen effectively.

DragoniteSM.jpg

Dragonite(male)@Leftovers>>Physical Wall
Ability: Inner Focus
Nature: Bashful
EVs:
-Ice Beam
-Dragon Claw
-Focus Punch
-Substitute

My strong dragon that will pretty much do as much damage as my last Pokemon.

Either use Ice Beam and Thunderbolt, or Flamethrower and Dragon Claw. Those combinations get the least resistance from the majority of Pokemon. It's also not a physical wall.

This is looking like an in-game team, of which you should specify. If it's a Netbattle team, all you have to do is use File -> Export to Text in the team builder.

Starmie can single handedly ruin this team. I don't know what to say about that but to try using Snorlax, Blissey, or Regice, but that gets boring.

No, this is a link-up team.

A team needs both walls and sweepers right?
I could add Clefable for Sceptile. Make Dragonite a physical sweeper and sceptile physical. Isnt there a wall Jirachi?

Omastar doesn't even learn Earthquake.

Your Sceptile is running a Jolly nature, even though he has two special attacks in Leaf Blade and Dragon Claw. Use Hasty, or you'll be losing a lot of power.

Dragonite has no reason for Ice Beam and Dragon Claw. Drop one of them for TBolt/Flamethrower.

Quite a few of these Pokemon have poor natures. Bashful Pikachu? He needs a +speed nature! Umbreon aint gonna live much on a -Def nature and that nature further increases your need for a physical wall.

This squad has a low overall power rating scraping in at 61% compared to the average 64%...you'll be at a disadvantage so you'll have to play smart. As this is a OU team, SkarmBliss is gonna give you a serious headache as that combo lols at all your Pokemon...at least make the swap I mentioned for Dragonite to give you some form of counter...although good luck SubPunching whilst being constantly Ice Beamed.

alright
first of all, joyful is not a nature
im assuming you posted this for DP because of force palm, but this is Ever grande, which is the ADV board

I obviously know this is the advanced forum, and that's not my D/P team. And like I said in my last post, there is no more place for advanced gen. data!! There's psypoke, but that site isnt good. So, start rating my advanced team!!!! Second, I don't own D/P, and am waiting for the third game.

I'm posting again of 2 days of no inactivity...

Tommorow is my birthday! I'll be 17! 2 days ago was my friend's b-day in the Phillipines. She will be 38.

Relevant. Just curious as to why you are using umbreon when most people switch out as soon as they see it

Yeah, my b-day has come!

This my current team. the only data for moves I can find is from Psypoke and the d/p analysis. so i just made sure i had all 3rd gen moves.

this was the current team i posted.

Sceptile(male)@Leftover LVL 100>>SubPasser Lead

Snorlax(male) @Leftovers>>Special Wall

Sceptile(male)@Leftover LVL 100>>SubPasser Lead
Nature: Timid
Ability: Overgrowth
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
-Leaf Blade
-Hidden Power Fire
-Thunderpunch
-Substitute

i assume you mean 252 spatk not atk. and also sceptile is not a subpasser, subpassers use substitute + baton pass. leech seed would work better over thunderpunch.

Dragonite/Cloud(male)@ Leftovers LVL 100>>outrager
Nature: Joyful
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 58 HP / 252 ATK / 200 SPD
-Outrage
-Dragon Dance
-Fire Blast
-Earthquake

ok so once again joyful isnt a nature, youre probably thinking about jolly. if youre DDing, then ditch outrage for hp flying, and fire blast for thunder. try out lonely nature with 52 hp / 204 atk / 184 spd / 68 satk.

Cloyster(male)@Leftovers>>Physical Attacker/Spike’N’Spinner
Nature: Relaxed
Ability: Shell Rock
EVs: 252 att/ 252 spd/ 6 hp
-Spikes
-Rapid Spin
-Explosion
-Double Edge

shell rock isnt even a nature, its shell armor. anyway use ice beam over double edge. Move all speed EVs to HP, move about 200 atk EVs over to def/spdef/satk however you see fit.

Jirachi (genderless)@Leftovers>>Special Sweeper
Ability: Serene Grace
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 240 HP / 56 Atk / 76 Def / 136 Spd
-Psychic
-Wish
-Pursuit
-Calm Mind

adamant and special sweeper dont mix. make it bold or modest. also it can't learn pursuit. to fit your team better, i recommend psychic/wish/thunder(bolt)/filler. filler can be ice punch/twave/reflect/whatever. EVs also need some fixing. keep the hp and redistribute the rest into def/satk. you can have enough speed to beat tar, which is about 36 iirc.

Hariyama(male) @Leftovers>>Physical Wall
Ability: Thick Fat
Nature: Impish
EVs:76 HP / 180 Atk / 252 Def
-Knock Off
-Thunderpunch
-Cross Punch
-Focus Punch

hariyama isnt a physical wall. also, thunderpunch is special, not physical. Id recommend you change this to something which can take statuses.

Snorlax(male) @Leftovers>>Special Wall
Ability: Thick Fat
nature: Careful
EVs: 76HP / 44ATK / 136DEF / 252SPDEF
-Body Slam
-Earthquake
-Curse
-Selfdestruct

shadow ball over earthquake, or else gengar will talk all over you. put some EVs from spdef into HP, and go with rest over selfdestruct.

a lot of your sets seem like they should be from DP. from what i see, gyarados, metagross, and DDtar messes this team badly. make sure that cloyster and jirachi stay at high health, or youre finished. swampert also walls everything but sceptile, and it wont be able to take ice beams on the switch well.

for those reasons i recommend replacing hariyama, who isnt doing much, for zapdos @lefties, calm, tbolt/hp grass/rest/talk. itll handle gyarados, gross, and pert to an extent. ttar will still mess with you, since your only rock resist is weak to ground. id normally say swampert over cloyster, but sceptile loses a lot of power without spikes, so whatever.

what Pokemon are physical walls?

Skarmory, Weezing are the best ones from advance. They have an earthquake immunity. Weezing gets WoW.
Dusclops is also decent.

Urgh...nuatral natures, like bashful on dragonite, are very bad.

Second, post EVs please. If you don't know them...redo them / rebreed.

Okay, moonlight isn't so good on umbreon. Sandstorm messes it up big...wish is better, and your team can all benefit.

Okay, dragonite is no physical wall. If you want a swift swim sweeper, I think kingdra is better...but oh well.

Truth is, half your team is ravaged by earthquake. you have no reliable physical wall...except maybe omaster, but it can't take EQ, the most common attack move out there. Also, sceptile isn't a very good pghysical sweeper. It is a much better subseeder. If you are gonna make it a physical sweeper, give it swords dance at least.

Really, your umbreon nature and EVs are terrible. It wants bold with max HP and defense, the rest in SDef. Wish>Moonlight IMO. Still, your team is ravaged by skarmbliss...you will have a really hard time beating the 2.

As for the more recent team you posted...

Joyful nature??? Wha??? I laugh at the notion of haryama(sp) being a physical wall. 40 base defense is lol...seriously. Your cloyster isn't a physical attacker...merely walled by gengar. BADLY walled by gengar. Cloyster can't make use of ohysical attacks really in 3rd gen...Why attack EVs on Jirachi??? It doesn't have a physical attack...these all seem like D/P pokemon if you ask me.

As for the most recent team...

Slaking is in no way a special wall...65 base SDef = fail. It is a physical sweeper. Sceptile can't pass subs without BP...which it can't learn. Arcanine and gengar are by no means physical walls...gengar has like, 60 base Def...some good physical walls are:

Donphan
Steelix
Skarmory
Weezing
Forretress

Just a few.........

Kingdra fails as a DDer...trust me, know. Kingdra is my 2nd favorite pokemon...using it all the time, I can tell you...use the rain dance set...please.

Aero is fine. You have nothing that effectively walls special attacks, especially on the switch. Jirachi gets a nice CM bonus, but critical hit = dead Jirachi. You're gonna want a reliable special wall...blissey is the best.

There...that's my rate. Perhaps gain more unbderstanding of roles, since many of yours were way off...like gengar being a physical wall.

so far for physical walls I have heard:
1)skarmory 2)weezing 3)zapdos 4)foretress 5)steelix 6)regice 7)metagross 8)donphan 9)duscolops 10)tyranitar

kingdra, sceptile, jirachi, donphan, snorlax, aerodactyl(i think that's good)

i edited most current team
