For the people who are looking for a place where they can play the older generations, besides the new ones, we are inviting you to drop by at our server. Since a few months I'm hosting a NetBattle server whitch is up 24/7. You can enter it by using the following adv.connect: atq.zapto.org

There are still quite a few people on everday, so if you're in the mood to play some of the older generations, you are sure to find a battle here. Besides that there are also Pokemon quizzes and those kinds of things on the server.

I have never played the old generations competitively but I've always wanted to see an active server for once. Thanks for the recommendation.

This is actually a reliable server with decent moderation. I'm going to stick this thread for future reference.

well NBS fixes most of big flaws and bugs of the original NB mostly in making spikes able to be rapid spun away by rapid spin despite sub being there which made sub skarm so less annoying.

NetBattle is full of bugs, and isn't worth playing. It's a very old piece of software that will never be updated again. The NetBattle Supremacy "development team" haven't showed up on the internet in months. Pokemon Online's (http://pokemon-online.eu/) developers are now adding older generations. 3rd generation will be finished within the next few days. Any bugs that are reported are usually fixed within a few hours.

NetBattle is now completely obsolete.

I have installed pokemon online, and it is up-to-par with Netbattle Supremacy, in terms of user-friendliness and the doubles option, and perhaps with Shoddy Battle, in terms of providing ladder systems of different tiers. It is great to have such a high quality alternative to Shoddy for DP Play that also allows Doubles! Please give an update when the program can indeed play the past gens. Until then, The Atq Clan's Global Casino server at Netbattle Supremacy would do just fine.

NBS features incorrect ADV mechanics ( CH, screens, struggle, substitute, sleep ). PO is currently in the process of adding ADV and is currently more accurate ( even though it's in a testing phase ). If you really want to support an inferior option for older generations, by all means.

It's a great server, actually. I've been looking for a server that played the older generations and this one is pretty good. Now I actually have a reason to build 1/2/3 gen teams and people to test them out with.

As NBS is still the only server with RBY and GSC, it is certainly not obsolete. However, I'm sure that sad day will come soon... :/

Pokemon Online with third generation has now been released. First and second generations will be added eventually.

What message do you get?
If it's:" You have been disconnected from the server". You're probably blocked in my firewall. Just PM me your IP-adres and I'll make sure you can connect.

Nice to see other servers appearing that cover r/b/y players.

Things are hopefully better than when I hosted the first netbattle r/b/y mode server back on netbattle version 0.9.3 years ago.

I would like to know what things you mean. Nowdays the reg is dead (for 3 months now) and the main server usually has between 35-55 users on peak hours. The only good things nowdays are a non-stop 24/7 server and the fact that bots are useless.

Besides, the main server also covers the older generations. Recently we succesfully hosted a 32ppl rby tourney and are now in the middle of a 16 gsc one.
