I'm noticing we lack a proper hazard control mon, so may as well
:swsh/sharpedo::swsh/altaria:
DNA Donors: Sharpedo / Altaria
Fusion Name: Sharparia
New Types:

Base Stats: 75 / 95 / 85 / 85 / 75 / 90 [BST: 505] (+3 HP / +0 Atk / +20 Def / +3 SpA / +3 SpD / +3 Spe)
New Ability: Natural Skin = (Rough Skin + Natural Cure)
Ability Description: Effect of both abilities
Notable Moves:
Dragon Claw, Outrage, Crunch, Earthquake, Flip Turn
Flamethrower
Roost, Defog, Heal Bell, Dragon Dance
Intended Role: Physical Wall, Hazard Control (Defog), Defensive Pivot, Cleric, Setup Sweeper
Role Justification: Dragon/Dark gives it a surprisingly good match-up against most hazard setter in the meta, that combined with Rough Skin punishing Rapid Spin, and Natural Cure allowing to safely wear down Carcannon with Flip Turn without being concerned about a burn turn it into a quite solid mon. It also packs a decent offensive typing to abuse a Dragon Dance set, but it struggles with Fairy types, which is relevant in a meta where Igglycian is pretty prevalent, Bug types being prevalent doesn't do it many favors either.

There he goes again, unbugging the Bug types, then rebugging the unbugged Bug types
:bw/scizor::bw/magneton:
DNA Donors: Scizor / Magneton
Fusion Name: Magnezor
New Types:

Base Stats: 72 / 95 / 97 / 95 / 95 / 67 [BST: 521] (+12 HP / +0 Atk / +0 Def / +8 SpA / +20 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Tenacious = (Technician + Analytic)
Ability Description: This Pokémon’s moves deal 1.5x damage if it moves last.
Notable Moves:
Wild Charge, X-Scissor, U-Turn
Flash Cannon, Thunderbolt, Volt Switch
Roost, Swords Dance, Curse, Defog
Intended Role: Physical Wallbreaker/Setup Sweeper, Special Wallbreaker, Offensive Pivot
Role Justification: Buffed Analytic, with Curse to amplify it, but generally mediocre offenses and defenses to begin with. Could also be played like a slow Tapu Koko in Special sets.

:swsh/kecleon::swsh/dragapult:
DNA Donors: Kecleon / Dragapult
Fusion Name: Dracleon
New Types:

Base Stats: 74 / 115 / 72 / 80 / 97 / 91 [BST: 529] (+0 HP / +10 Atk / +0 Def / +0 SpA / +0 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Cursed Pigmentation = (Protean + Cursed Body)
Ability Description: Before being hit by an attack move, changes type to the type of the attack.
Notable Moves:
Dragon Darts, Double-Edge, Knock Off, Drain Punch, Rock Slide, Psychic Fangs, U-Turn
Probably not
Recover, Dragon Dance, Stealth Rock, Light Screen, Reflect, Will-O-Wisp
Intended Role: Wallbreaker, Setup Sweeper (Dragon Dance)
Role Justification: Those stats look scary but remember this doesn’t have consistent STAB. It does have enough speed to outspeed a lot of things and land a Dragon Darts before it changes type. Cursed Pigmentation gives it a lot of resistances but nothing overwhelming, comparable to Dragon/Steel.

:swsh/zapdos-galar::swsh/croconaw:
DNA Donors: Zapdos-Galar / Croconaw
Fusion Name: Zaponaw-Galar
New Types:

Base Stats: 77 / 102 / 85 / 72 / 76 / 79 [BST: 491] (+0 HP / +0 Atk / +0 Def / +0 SpA / +0 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Relentless = (Defiant + Sheer Force)
Ability Description: This Pokemon’s attacks have 1.3x power against opponents with lowered stats.
Notable Moves:
Thunderous Kick, Aqua Jet, Liquidation, U-Turn, Blaze Kick, Rock Slide
Probably not
Dragon Dance, Bulk Up, Taunt
Intended Role: Wallbreaker, Setup Sweeper (Dragon Dance/Bulk Up)
Role Justification: Designed to be very hard to switch into, with the ability + a Defense drop almost doubling damage. Furthermore, it can Aqua Jet to take down weakened opponents. However, it can’t really do anything but this combo, with meh coverage and lack of utility moves. It’s also walled by Appledam and (to an extent) Duskoma, and Iggly can switch into Thunderous Kick and then tank an Aqua Jet and OHKO back.

:swsh/mr-mime::swsh/greninja:
DNA Donors: Mr. Mime / Greninja
Fusion Name: Mr. Ninja
New Types:

Base Stats: 56 / 70 / 66 / 101 / 95 / 106 [BST: 494] (+0 HP / +0 Atk / +0 Def / +0 SpA / +0 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Flowing Technique = (Technician + Torrent)
Ability Description: Effects of both abilities. Does not stack.
Notable Moves:
U-Turn
Water Shuriken, Dazzlimg Gleam, Psychic, Thunderbolt, Charge Beam?, Energy Ball, Icy Wind
Nasty Plot, Taunt, Encore, Toxic, Thunder Wave
Intended Role: Revenge Killer, Setup Sweeper (Nasty Plot)
Role Justification: STAB Technician Water Shuriken hits hard (roughly a 70 BP STAB) but has unreliable damage. The mon is rather weak defensively so it relies on revenge killing or OHKOs after a Nasty Plot to fight safely.

:swsh/accelgor::swsh/wigglytuff:
DNA Donors: Accelgor / Wigglytuff
Fusion Name: Accelggly
New Types:

Base Stats: 130 / 70 / 57 / 92 / 60 / 95 [BST: 504] (+20 HP / +0 Atk / +15 Def / +0 SpA / +5 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Frisky Hold = (Sticky Hold + Frisk)
Ability Description: Effects of both abilities.
Notable Moves:
U-Turn
Bug Buzz, Dazzling Gleam, Final Gambit, Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Psychic, Energy Ball, Giga Drain, Sludge Bomb
Stealth Rock, Light Screen, Reflect, Wish, Recover, Thunder Wave, Spikes, Toxic Spikes
Intended Role: Hazards lead (Stealth Rocks, Spikes, Toxic Spikes), Screens setter, Suicide lead (Final Gambit), Wishpasser
Role Justification: The ultimate lead for any playstyle. Screens, Rocks, other hazards if you want, U-Turn for balance teams to keep it around, huge amounts of coverage, strong Wishpassing, a high-power Final Gambit, this has everything. why doesn’t Accelgor get Webs

Resubs:
:swsh/tapu bulu::swsh/growlithe:
DNA Donors: Tapu Bulu / Growlithe
Fusion Name: Tapu Growl
New Types:

Base Stats: 67 / 100 / 80 / 77 / 72 / 77 [BST: 473] (+5 HP / +0 Atk / +0 Def / +0 SpA / +0 SpD / +10 Spe)
New Ability: Ferocious Surge = (Grassy Surge + Intimidate)
Ability Description: Effects of both abilities.
Notable Moves:
Play Rough, Flare Blitz, Horn Leech, Wood Hammer, Rock Slide, Stone Edge, Zen Headbutt

Will-O-Wisp, Morning Sun, Leech Seed, Bulk Up
Intended Role: Offensive Pivot
Role Justification: Uses Grassy Surge to protect itself from Earthquake and gain a third STAB. Also a check to Iggly because apparently we need those.

:ss/eldegoss::ss/rotom:
DNA Donors: Eldegoss / Rotom
Fusion Name: Rotogoss
New Types:

Base Stats: 70 / 50 / 88 / 97 / 98 / 75 [BST: 478] (+15 HP / +0 Atk / +5 Def / +10 SpA / +0 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Levigen = (Regenerator + Levitate)
Ability Description: Effects of both abilities.
Notable Moves:

Volt Switch, Energy Ball
Synthesis, Will-O-Wisp, Defog, Heal Bell, Leech Seed
Intended Role: Defensive Pivot, Support, Wall
Role Justification: Some nice support moves work with Regen to make this a neat support pivot. Volt Switch is its best option, dealing decent damage and activating Regen. idk I’m out of ideas[/hide]

Why is everything Poison-type this slate? Anyways, I'll drop in with another one.

:swsh/grapploct::swsh/dragalge:
1,000 (Fighting) Leagues Under the Sea
DNA Donors: Grapploct / Dragalge
Fusion Name: Grappalge
New Types:

Base Stats: 72 / 110 / 90 / 83 / 107 / 43 [BST: 505] (+0 HP / +14 Atk / +0 Def / +0 SpA / +6 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Toxicologist = (Technician + Poison Touch)
Ability Description: Combined effect of both the abilities.
Notable Moves:
Scale Shot, Poison Tail, Dragon Tail, Flip Turn, Circle Throw, Close Combat, Ice Punch, Liquidation, Power-up Punch, Gunk Shot
Scald, Shadow Ball, Sludge Bomb, Dragon Pulse, Thunderbolt, Icy Wind
Octolock, Toxic Spikes, Bulk Up
Intended Role: Offensive Pivot / Pseudotrapper (Octolock)
Role Justification: Grappalge's Toxicologist turns Poison Tail, Flip Turn, Power-up Punch, and Circle Throw into workable tools with a chance to poison. Meanwhile, Octolock can trap walls and severely weaken their defensive capabilities, while Toxic Spikes provide some very good utility. Scale Shot does a ton of work alongside Ice Punch and Liquidation as coverage. This thing can hit a lot of the current meta for SE damage: Appledam can be stalled out by Gunk Shot or Poison Tail poisoning, Igglycian-C...well, folds to Poison STAB, Fraxblade is quite vulnerable to be trapped and anyways folds to Circle Throw or Close Combat, and Regidurr is vulnerable to the aforementioned Fighting-type attacks. Not all is completely well, though: its low Speed means you will probably get hit first. Additionally, Octolock traps you as well, and as you don't have any recovery, that...is a problem if you get too low on HP. HOT TAKE: Octolock should be a contact-inducing move.

:swsh/garbodor::swsh/porygon:
Zamazenta?
DNA Donors: Garbodor / Porygon
Fusion Name: Garbogon
New Types:

Base Stats: 82 / 77 / 80 / 72 / 82 / 57 [BST: 450] (+10 HP / +0 Atk / +4 Def / +0 SpA / +4 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Dauntless Shield = (Weak Armor + Download)
Ability Description: On switch-in, this Pokemon's Defense is raised by 1 stage.
Notable Moves:
Body Press
Tri Attack, Clear Smog
Toxic, Spikes, Poison Spikes, Recover, Teleport
Intended Role: Physical Wall, Hazard Setter
Role Justification: A Poison type version of Porygon2 which has access to a variety of status moves and hazards + Recovery. Its ability goes pretty well with BPress and Clear Smog.

:swsh/shaymin::swsh/mawile:
uh
DNA Donors: Shaymin / Mawile
Fusion Name: Shaymaw
New Types:

Base Stats: 75 / 95 / 95 / 77 / 80 / 75 [BST: 497] (+0 HP / +3 Atk / +3 Def / +0 SpA / +3 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Supernatural = (Natural Cure + Sheer Force)
Ability Description: Combined effect of both the abilities.
Notable Moves:
Play Rough, Seed Bomb, Fire Fang, Rock Slide, Psychic Fangs
Seed Flare, Dazzling Gleam, Earth Power, Fire Blast, Focus Blast
Synthesis, Swords Dance
Intended Role: Physical/Mixed Wallbreaker, Specs/Scarf User
Role Justification: While it has a good attack, its physical moveset isn't very good, but it has good special moveset with a 156 bp STAB while having a not very good SpA stat and typing.

Broke Mega
:swsh/shaymin::swsh/mawile-mega:
Fusion Name: Shaymaw-Mega
New Types:

Base Stats: 75 / 115 / 135 / 77 / 120 / 75 [BST: 597] (+0 HP / +23 Atk / +43 Def / +0 SpA / +43 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Huge Power

:swsh/avalugg::swsh/shuckle:
Hisui Avalugg be like
DNA Donors: Avalugg / Shuckle
Fusion Name: Shucklugg
New Types:

Base Stats: 75 / 65 / 210 / 30 / 150 / 16 [BST: 546] (+18 HP / +2 Atk / +3 Def / +3 SpA / +12 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Hard Ice = (Ice Body + Sturdy)
Ability Description: Combined effect of both the abilities.
Notable Moves:
Body Press, Knock Off, Rapid Spin
imagine using specs on this
Toxic, Recover, Stealth Rock, Sticky Web, Iron Defense
Intended Role: Hazard Setter, Mixed Wall, Hazard Control
Role Justification: It has very high defenses, good defensive movepool, recovery and bpress, which hits hard. However, it is held back by its awful typing and its weakness to Stealth Rock. This Pokemon can be useful if it is on the lead because its abil allows it to set at least 1 or 2 hazards while being able to remove the ones on its side.

:swsh/slurpuff::swsh/aegislash:
Weird Zen Mode
DNA Donors: Slurpuff / Aegislash
Fusion Name: Aegipuff
New Types:

Base Stats: 73 / 70 / 115 / 70 / 115 / 86 [BST: 529] (+2 HP / +5 Atk / +2 Def / +3 SpA / +8 SpD / +20 Spe)
New Ability: Possessive Change = (Unburden + Stance Change)
Ability Description: Switches to Blade form if it doesn't have a held item.
Notable Moves:
Shadow Sneak, Shadow Claw, Play Rough, Close Combat

Belly Drum, King's Shield, Substitute, Swords Dance, Sticky Web, Toxic
Intended Role: Physical Setup Sweeper, Hazard Setter
Role Justification: This Pokemon relies mostly on berry gimmicks like Belly Drum and SubSalac. It initially has good bulk, but when it enters Blade form, its defenses get low but gets high attack, which goes well with Shadow Sneak. This Pokemon can also be used as a defensive hazard setter as it wouldn't need to change form.

:swsh/flareon::swsh/araquanid:
had a joke here but i forgot vishi exists
DNA Donors: Flareon / Araquanid
Fusion Name: Flaraqua
New Types:

Base Stats: 70 / 100 / 80 / 75 / 125 / 55 [BST: 505] (+4 HP / +0 Atk / +4 Def / +3 SpA / +4 SpD / +2 Spe)
New Ability: Snot Bubble = (Guts + Water Bubble)
Ability Description: Water power is 2x when statused; immune to Burn.
Notable Moves:
Flare Blitz, Liquidation, Facade, Lunge
Lava Plume, Scald
Protect, Sticky Web, Toxic, Will-O-Wisp, Wish
Intended Role: Special Wall, Physical Wallbreaker
Role Justification: Ok yeah I get that it has broken Water Bubble + 100 Attack, but it also has 0 coverage, bad speed, and great bulk, so running Toxic Orb is completely wasting the mon’s potential. Otherwise, pretty great special wall, super bulky and has lots of ways of afflicting burn so the opponent’s physical mons don’t want to switch in. Has to rely on Wish for recovery, but also has 100 Attack with pretty spammable STABs, so even if an opponent wants to pressure you out of Wishspam, they’ll still take a chunk from you.

:swsh/electrode::swsh/heatran:
tired of all these defensive ziggly answers
DNA Donors: Electrode / Heatran
Fusion Name: Electran
New Types:

Base Stats: 75 / 70 / 90 / 105 / 95 / 115 [BST: 550] (+0 HP / +0 Atk / +2 Def / +0 SpA / +2 SpD / +2 Spe)
New Ability: Hot Flash = (Aftermath + Flash Fire)
Ability Description: When this Pokemon is hit by a Fire move, the opponent loses 1/4 of its max HP.
Notable Moves:

Earth Power, Fire Blast, Flash Cannon, Thunderbolt, Volt Switch
Stealth Rock, Toxic
Intended Role: Special Wallbreaker
Role Justification: Our Steels are really boring. This mon is less boring. Fast offensive Steel with great coverage, an amazing Speed tier, and pivoting to ensure Specs sets can run laps around unprepared teams. Can struggle with Grounds, but destroys meta fastmons like Magmabuzz, Igglycian, and even unboosted Hawlazzle.

:swsh/palkia::swsh/baltoy:
I swear it was unintentional
DNA Donors: Palkia / Baltoy
Fusion Name: Paltoy
New Types:

Base Stats: 80 / 80 / 80 / 105 / 95 / 80 [BST: 520] (+15 HP / +0 Atk / +3 Def / +10 SpA / +0 SpD / +3 Spe)
New Ability: Air Pressure = (Pressure + Levitate)
Ability Description: Combined effects.
Notable Moves:

Draco Meteor, Earth Power, Fire Blast, Thunderbolt
Calm Mind, Stealth Rock, Trick
Intended Role:
Role Justification: Strong offensive Ground, with tons of coverage, Calm Mind for setup, and Trick for choiced sets (Scarf goes kinda nutty). Most importantly, has a solid amount of bulk on both sides, allowing it to work as the Electric absorber the tier has been begging for since Slate 1.

:swsh/sylveon::swsh/probopass:
defensive ziggly answer
DNA Donors: Sylveon / Probopass
Fusion Name: Probosyl
New Types:

Base Stats: 80 / 60 / 105 / 100 / 140 / 50 [BST: 535] (+3 HP / +0 Atk / +0 Def / +8 SpA / +0 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Fairy Circle = (Pixilate + Magnet Pull)
Ability Description: Opposing Fairy types cannot switch out.
Notable Moves:

Earth Power, Flash Cannon, Moonblast, Power Gem, Volt Switch
Calm Mind, Stealth Rock, Toxic, Wish
Intended Role: Trapper, Special Wall, Defensive Pivot, Hazard Setter
Role Justification: Very fat Rock type with Fairy Circle allowing it to answer both meta baby Igglycian and the 3 Normal/Fairys in the tier. Why are there 3 Normal/Fairy types? I have no idea. While Calm Mind does allow for setup opportunities on opposing Fairy types, its low Speed and mediocre defensive typing should hold it back enough that even at +6 it doesn’t just win against well-built teams. Once opposing Fairies are dead, it can still serve as a hazard setter and a blanket special wall against many strong attacks in the tier, with its Fairy typing providing a godsend Fighting neutrality that allows it to work that much better as a Ziggly answer and defensive Rock type in general.

:swsh/mamoswine::swsh/purugly:
DNA Donors: Mamoswine / Purugly
Fusion Name: Mamogly
New Types:

Base Stats: 90 / 110 / 75 / 70 / 70 / 96 [BST: 511] (+0 HP / +4 Atk / +3 Def / +3 SpA / +11 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Tantrum = (Thick Fat + Defiant)
Ability Description: Combined effect of both the abilities.
Notable Moves:
Body Slam, Double-Edge, Earthquake, Fake Out, Knock Off, Stone Edge, Sucker Punch, U-Turn

Stealth Rock
Intended Role: Physical Wallbreaker, Offensive Pivot
Role Justification: Classic physical Defiant abuser, with a defensive profile that allows it to pretty cleanly switch in on the fast Electrics that have been terrorizing the meta. Beats most of the tier’s defoggers 1v1 thanks to its access to Stone Edge, and can even set up rocks itself in order to force them to fog. Also gets +3 on cringe Torraaffy (owned).

New Ability: Scrappy Fat = (Thick Fat + Scrappy)
Ability Description: Effects of both.
Notable Moves:
Super Fang, Seismic Toss, U-turn, Knock off, Fake out, Body Slam
-
Milk drink, Taunt, Stealth rock
Intended Role: Defensive pivot, Stallbreaker(Scrappy Super fang+taunt+Seismic Toss), Hazard setter(stealth rock)
Role Justification: A Defensive pivot that is able to break down bulkier teams do to the combination of its good speed, Scrappy super fang and taunt which prevents walls like appledam and duskoma from healing off the damage. It also gets reliable recovery in milk drink, A good pivoting move in u-turn, can remove items with knock off, and can set hazards with stealth rock.

New Ability: Hoarder = (Gluttony + Cheek Pouch)
Ability Description: Combine effects of both.
Notable Moves:
Gunk shot, Play rough, Knock off, U-turn, Nuzzle, Super fang
Belch, Dazzling gleam, Volt switch, Focus blast, Fire blast,
Taunt, Recycle, Toxic
Intended Role: special wallbreaker, Setup sweeper(Recycle+petaya berry), offensive pivot.
Role Justification: A solid check to igglycian-c that has a lot of longevity with recycle plus a berry of choice and cheek pouch. This pokemon is optimized to take full advantage of its strong stabs in belch and moonblast or play rough and gunk shot respectively and good coverage in fire blast and focus blast. It doesnt have a bad speed tier;out speeding most walls and being able to pivot on them coming in or taunt them.

Ability Description: Combined effect of both the abilities.
Notable Moves:
Dragon Ascent, Dragon Claw, Earthquake, Stone Edge, V-Create
Draco Meteor
Dragon Dance, Recover, Stealth Rock, Swords Dance, Toxic
Intended Role: Special Wall, Physical Wallbreaker
Role Justification: The classic defensive base, offensive Mega. Base is mini Dracolix, good typing, useful immunity, big damage. Mega cucks itself with Delta Stream making it unable to hit flyings. Keep in mind you gotta use Dragon Ascent to mega evolve, and while it's still a good coverage move, it's not the best for this mon's typing.

New Ability: Rise from the Ashes = (Gale Wings + Clear Body)
Ability Description: If this Pokemon is at full HP, prevents this Pokemon's stat changes from being lowered.

Notable Moves:
Dragon Tail, Dragon Darts, Flame Charge, U-turn...
Draco Meteor, Dragon Pulse, Fire Blast, Overheat, Thunderbolt...
Defog, Dragon Dance, Roost, Swords Dance, Will-O-Wisp...

Intended Role: Offensive Pivot, Physical Wallbreaker, Special Wallbreaker, Setup Sweeper, Hazard Removal (Defog)
Role Justification: A decent amount of bulky mons dropped this slate that I hope to remedy. In short this mon is a special breaker that doubles as a good Defogger in a meta that seems to be lacking in actual proper hazard control. Fire/Dragon is excellent both offensively and defensively, and its ability allows it to use Draco and Overheat with no penalty if at full HP. Can also run weird SD Physical Set if you want, its attack is decent enough for the job but it doesn't have a good Fire-STAB so it's not that good methinks.

New Ability: Beastly Twist = (Contrary + Beast Boost)
Ability Description: If this Pokemon's highest stat is raised, it is lowered instead, and vice versa.

Notable Moves:
Close Combat, Drain Punch, Hammer Arm, Leaf Blade, Knock Off, Poison Jab, Superpower, Stone Edge...
...
Defog, Glare, Roost...

Intended Role: Setup Sweeper, Physical Wallbreaker
Role Justification: Mon that absolutely DUNKS ON the annoying new mon, Salasian, in style. This mon basically just sets up with moves like Hammer Arm and Superpower and prevents Salasian from going haywire with Breaking Swipe with sharply dropping attack. Is balanced by a mid attacking type for the meta, as its walled by the bagworm, Duskoma, multiple Silvino forms, etc, as well as mid stats that leave it either weak or vulnerable if it hasn't boosted yet.

Some sets I have prepared that utilize each of the 3 main stats that Buzzvine has to synergize with its ability. It is actually fairly versatile in what its sets want depending on the team.

New Ability: change of Rhythm = (Dancer + Protean)
Ability Description: Combined effect of both the abilities.

Notable Moves:
Knock Off, U-Turn
Hurricane, Ice Beam, Reveltaion Dance, Shadow Ball, Thunderbolt
Nasty Plot, Roost, Stealth Rock

Intended Role: Special Breaker
Role Justification: Midspeed Protean breaker. BoltBeam hits hard, can compress movepool to let it run stuff like NP or SR. Revelation Dance is a pretty cool gimmick since it can turn stuff like Stealth Rock and Nasty Plot into coverage

New Ability: Trace = (Receiver + Intimidate)

Notable Moves:
Close Combat, Knock Off, Liquidation, Gunk Shot, U-Turn
Spikes, Swords Dance

Intended Role: Offensive Pivot
Role Justification: How is our fastest fighting rn Vullacham at 80 speed lol. Qwilsimian is attempting to be an offensive pivot, having decent enough physbulk and a passable type to be able to switch in fairly frequently. Movepool is fairly extensive and has fun tools like Spikes up its sleeve. Would be the tier's 8th fastest mon so far.

New Types:

Base Stats: 83 / 97 / 79 / 89 / 79 / 79 [BST: 506] (+2 HP / +3 Atk / +1 Def / +13 SpA / +1 SpD / +13 Spe)
New Ability: Ultra Shift = (Intimidate + Beast Boost)
Ability Description: Lowers foe's stats that matches user's highest stat

Notable Moves:
Earthquake, Gunk Shot, Knock Off, U-Turn
Dark Pulse, Flamethrower, Scorching Sands, Sludge Bomb
Nasty Plot, Parting Shot, Swords Dance, Will-o-Wisp

Intended Role: Offensive Pivot, Defensive Pivot
Role Justification: Much like Poipole's UB codename, this fusion is intended to be a glue of sorts. Its stats are distributed in a way that could make any of its stats be its highest, giving you a customizeable Intimidate that can lower whichever stat you prefer. And while on their own the stats aren't a huge deal, the stat drop that it applies on switch-in makes it have a higher effective BST, while also being really versatile. It can also force switches and abuse that with status-spreading moves, pivotting, Knock Off or even Toxic spikes if you really want that.

Its not the bulkiest, but it can run sets that lower Atk or Sp Atk on the switch. It has middling Speed but can be used to Revenge Kill with its bootleg Sink or Swim. Offenses are mid but it has some breaking capabilities by lowering the foe's defenses.

All of this also works as a balance factor to itself though, as that makes one of its stats stand out while the rest are mid. You may become fairly fast thanks to a Speed drop but you'll be stuck with 97 base ATK, so on and so forth. Would take some wacky spreads to figure out what works best for its ability + sets, but that's the fun part.

Zooming and Booming
Stats: 80 / 61 / 76 / 91 / 81 / 122 [BST: 511] (+15 SpA, +20 Spe)
Typing:

Ability: Overcarbonated = Aftermath + Liquid Ooze
Ability Description: Aftermath effects. Whenever this Pokemon is hit by a contact move, 1/4 of the damage that it deals is added to the amount that Aftermath will inflict if activated.

Viable Moves:
- Earthquake???
- Giga Drain, Ice Beam, Sludge Bomb, Thunderbolt, Volt Switch
- Encore, Pain Split, Taunt, Teleport, Toxic

Roles: Special Attacker, Fast Pivot

While its Special Attack is lackluster, access to some solid anti-Ground tools in Ice Beam and Giga Drain lets you spam your STABs pretty freely, most notably a fast Volt Switch. The ability has the potential to be really funny if played well, but isn't a massive upgrade on normal Aftermath. Specs is probably the set here, though Life Orb lets you abuse some interesting utility moves.

Ability Description: Combined effects
Notable Moves:
Ice Beam, Freeze Dry, Power Gem, Earth Power, Fusion Flare, Volt Switch
Stealth Rock, Roost, Rock Polish, Substitute
Intended Role: Special Wallbreaker, Hazards
Role Justification: We have literally 0 special ice attackers right now. That means there's not a whole lot of reasons to run AV regidurr. This is a travesty! As for the mon itself, it has insane progress-making potential but an awful defensive typing. Notably abuses Carcannon thanks to a Flying resistance and a Fire (if it runs it) neutrality. Defensive counterplay is basically just Regidurr right now, but it's a 62 speed Rock/Ice. You can revenge it.

Intended Role: Speed Control, Mixed Wall, Hazards
Role Justification: Emposerker for the deranged. You trade pivoting+defog for Scrappy Fake Out, a little more attack, and significantly more physical bulk (and Wish recovery if you really need a Steel that lasts). Double fighting weakness sucks but the ability to control tempo with a decently strong Fake Out should never be underestimated, especially in the frailer NU. Intended Role: Offensive Pivot, Setup Sweeper
Role Justification: A pretty straightforward offensive Electric that leverages Speed Boost to make inroads against offensive teams. Crucially outspeed Iggly unboosted, but if you're hungering for power modest with protect will still get the job done. Lacks power on neutral targets and is quite frail, so I can't imagine it being anything beyond a solid pivot. Throat Spray is a funny set!

Oh yeah, we were supposed to end this slate on the 24th weren't we? Anyways veto time. Impressively, there's nothing that seems crazy broken in here, just a few mons that feel a bit overtuned.

New Ability: Spore Force = (Sand Force + Effect Spore)
Ability Description: This Pokemon's moves do 1.3x damage against foes that are poisoned, asleep or paralyzed.
Notable Moves:

Moonblast, Scald/Surf, Earth Power, Ice Beam, Clear Smog
Recover, Strength Sap, Spore, Thunder Wave, Leech Seed, Toxic
Intended Role: mixed wall
Role Justification: big fatmon that can also go offensive with status spread support, which it can also do by itself if given the turns to do so.
It's kinda funny that this one ended up being broken actually. It's just really optimized, between its typing, stats, and movepool, I think I'd cut down the HP a bit.

Zamazenta?
DNA Donors: Garbodor / Porygon

Base Stats: 82 / 77 / 80 / 92 / 82 / 57 [BST: 470] (+10 HP / +0 Atk / +4 Def / +20 SpA / +4 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Dauntless Shield = (Weak Armor + Download)
Ability Description: On switch-in, this Pokemon's Defense is raised by 1 stage.
Notable Moves:
Body Press
Sludge Bomb, Tri Attack, Clear Smog
Toxic, Spikes, Poison Spikes, Recover, Teleport
Intended Role: Physical Wall, Hazard Setter
Role Justification: A Poison type version of Porygon2 which has access to a variety of status moves and hazards + Recovery. Its ability goes pretty well with BPress and Clear Smog.
This one's simply too fat with Dauntless Shield for a not-super-passive mon with recovery. Probably either remove the SpA or buff bulk a little (evolve?) and change the ability.

Ability Description: Combined effect of both the abilities.
Notable Moves:
Iron Head, Seed Bomb, Fire Fang, Rock Slide, Knock Off
Seed Flare, Flash Cannon, Earth Power, Fire Blast, Focus Blast
Synthesis, Swords Dance
Intended Role: Physical/Mixed Wallbreaker, Specs/Scarf User
Role Justification: While it has a good attack, its physical moveset isn't very good, but it has good special moveset with a 156 bp STAB while having a not very good SpA stat.

Broke Mega

New Ability: Huge Power
This thing's stats are unimpressive at a glance, but an incredible typing combined with recovery and some solid SF-boosted attacks puts it over the top. I think it would be ok without SF and quite as much bulk, though I'm sure you could tweak it in more interesting ways too.

New Ability: Tougher Skin = (Iron Barbs + Sheer Force)
Ability Description: This Pokémon's contact moves have 1.3x power and foes making contact with this Pokémon lose 1/8 of their HP
Notable Moves:
Zing Zap, High Horsepower, Ice Punch, Fire Punch, Sucker Punch, Superpower, U-Turn, Nuzzle
N/A
Spiky Shield, Stealth Rock, Wish
Intended Role: Physical Wallbreaker, Offensive Pivot, Cleric
Role Justification: WIP (little ball of offensive utility)
Another one that's just a little too optimized for NU, mostly thanks to strong offenses and pseudo-Tough Claws. Could cut the attack and speed buffs, or rework the ability if you prefer.

And surprisingly, that's all. You have 30-ish hours to fix these or they will be vetoed.

The next submission slate will begin tomorrow. In the meantime, discuss these winners and how you think they will affect the metagame!

Dusk Mage Necrozma

formerly XenonHero126
disclaimer: these opinions come from somebody who voted for Salasian

Solabat: Regen is great. Has a few notable resistances in Fairy, Fire, and Flying but except for Carcannon it doesn’t really hard counter anything so far, which is good because Regen is amazing anyway.

Buzzvine: I love this. Submission already went super in-depth so there’s not much more to add, but it does notably reinforce the viability of the current top walls (Appledam and Carcannon). Apart from those, it hits a good deal of the meta with SE STAB. Definitely top-tier.

Qwilsian: Cool mon. Trace is neat and since it forces our new Regen user out and walls Vino-Poison there’s some nice interplay there. There are some other neat interactions like tanking Apple Acid from Appledam or getting a big damage boost vs Emposerker. (you’ll be clicking a Fighting move anyway but if Empo switches out you might be able to abuse it, idk)

Woopquaza: I don’t love this one. I get the Mega gimmick but I feel like it would be more interesting on a mon with Ice/Rock/Electric STAB. Still, it’s a Ground type with recovery, and that alone balances out the meta a ton.

Yandos: First thing this has going for it is that it’s a special attacker, nice change of pace from the 90% physical metagame so far. Speed Boost is nice and offers a nice check to Scarfed cleaners, and Volt Switch makes it our first proper VoltTurn attacker since Magmabuzz. Decent mon, all in all.

Zaponaw-Galar: Okay, I’m probably biased here, but I think this is a really cool breaker. It’s decently fast and can wreck slower Pokemon that try to come in with but can also pressure frail fast mons that try to come in on a Fighting resist with Aqua Jet. Its goal is to force the opponent to sacrifice a mon no matter what.

Pelilicky: Another tanky thing with recovery. Don’t really have much to say about it.

Mudscash: Basically Mudsdale, and suffers the same problem that Mudsdale does in that without recovery, you more won’t live long enough to fully utilize the gimmick. I prefer Woop here although this doubles as a Rocks setter so that’s something.

Slate 5 - Fill In The Blanks
pelilicky.png

We are currently at just about over the midway point of the mod. As such, the metagame begins to solidify itself. But with that, there are still quite some types that are under-represented or some roles that could be improvedupon. Much like how I suggested last slate, this one should also focus on taking a look at the metagame to see which Pokémon need to be handled or what niches we could still fill. Avoid overlapping too much with what we already have or giving more options to archetypes that currently are already doing well - The priority for now should be on what we lack in the larger scope of the metagame.

You will have 7days to submit, closing on the 7th. Enjoy!

We have rather solid setters but no decent hazard control to deal with them, nor a cleric, so...
:swsh/eelektross::swsh/altaria:
DNA Donors: Eelektross / Altaria
Fusion Name: Eelektaria
New Types:

Base Stats: 80 / 95 / 85 / 90 / 95 / 65 [BST: 510] (+0 HP / +3 Atk / +0 Def / +3 SpA / +3 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Natural Air = (Levitate + Natural Cure)
Ability Description: Effect of both abilities
Knock Off, U-Turn, Super Fang
Volt Switch, Thunderbolt, Dragon Pulse, Draco Meteor, Fire Spin, Ice Beam
Roost, Defog, Heal Bell, Thunder Wave
Intended Role: Mixed Wall, Hazard Control (Defog), Defensive Pivot, Cleric
Role Justification: A solid typing combined with its ability enables it to come easily into most hazard setters (Paracoal, Carcannon, Emposerker, Swampflora, Lapfisk, Appledam) and remove their hazards with Defog, without even being worried about Knock Off out of not requiring HDB to do its job. Of note is that NatCure means it isn't too bothered by Paracoal's Spore, making it more reliable, it also comes with a nice amount of utility to cripple the opposing team or do cleric duties in some cases.
However, it still loses to Googersby and Aromarel, and its speed tier means it's often forced to take a hit before doing much, and so it can be overwhelmed, in addition, a meta where Fairy types are a common concern don't do many favors to it either.

Fast pivot with defensive utility???
:swsh/tornadus-therian::swsh/diglett-alola:
DNA Donors: Tornadus-Therian / Diglett-Alola
Fusion Name: Torglett-Alola
New Types:

Base Stats: 45 / 90 / 60 / 80 / 70 / 115 [BST: 460] (+1 HP / +13 Atk / +5 Def / +8 SpA / +3 SpD / +10 Spe)
New Ability: Growing Hair = (Regenerator + Tangling Hair)
Ability Description: Effect of both abilities
Notable Moves:
Iron Head, U-Turn, Knock Off, Superpower
Hurricane, Heat Wave
Defog, Stealth Rock, Memento, Taunt
Intended Role: Offensive Pivot, Suicide Lead, Hazard Setter (Stealth Rock), Hazard Control (Defog)
Role Justification: That's right, an offensive Defog mon. While its bulk is far from the best, a solid typing combined with longevity in Regenerator means it can be used to switch into an attack or two without as much concern one would think usually, it also comes with a wide movepool that allows it to also act as a suicide lead instead with a valuable combination of a good speed tier with Memento and SR, filling multiple roles rather lacking in the meta so far.

RegenPort
:swsh/reuniclus::swsh/kirlia:
DNA Donors: Reuniclus / Kirlia
Fusion Name: Reunirlia
New Types:

Base Stats: 80 / 50 / 70 / 95 / 85 / 40 [BST: 420] (+6 HP / +0 Atk / +15 Def / +0 SpA / +15 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Natural Heal = (Regenerator + Synchronize)
Ability Description: Regen+NatCure
Notable Moves:
Knock Off
Psychic, Psyshock, Dazzling Gleam, Future Sight, Shadow Ball
Recover, Wish, Teleport, Will-o-Wisp, Trick Room
Intended Role: Defensive Pivot, Trick Room Setter, Cleric
Role Justification: While its stats may be lacking, its ability, typing and movepool really compensate, it can act as a potent pivot that safely brings stuff, and can even heal its teammates too with Wish, Future Sight also enables it to support its team to ease wallbreaking, and it even acts as a decent answer to Harisect and Paracoal out of its ability to absorb Spore.

New Ability: Tenacious = (Technician + Analytic)
Ability Description: When this Pokémon moves last, its moves deal 1.5x damage
Notable Moves:
Iron Head, Wild Charge, U-Turn
Volt Switch
Swords Dance, Curse, Roost, Defog
Intended Role: Physical Setup Sweeper, Offensive Pivot
Role Justification: Ditched the shitty offenses, this mon’s a Physical Sweeper. Curse/SD boosted analytic moves with recovery and pivot. Could also serve as much needed hazard control with Defog. Despite all that, it’s still a physical electric mon lmao

Your everlasting summer and you can see it fading fast
So you grab a piece of something that you think is gonna last

New Ability: Dirty Work = (Iron Fist + Sheer Force)
Ability Description: Moves with secondary effects deal 1.2x damage
Notable Moves:
Drain Punch, Close Combat, Mach Punch, Earthquake, Rapid Spin

Dragon Dance/Bulk Up, Stealth Rock
Intended Role: Physical Wallbreaker/Wall, Hazard Setter/Control, Fast/Bulky Setup Sweeper
Role Justification: A Sheer Force sidegrade seems insignificant at first, but it means a boosted STAB Drain Punch and a boosted (much needed) Rapid Spin. Aside from necessary stabs you also get Ddance and Bulk Up for setting up and Stealth Rock to set your own hazards.

Base Stats: 80 / 92 / 85 / 105 / 85 / 77 [BST: 524] (+18 HP / +0 Atk / +20 Def / +1 SpA / +1 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Graveyard Shift = (Technician + Insomnia)
Ability Description: Combined effect of both the abilities.
Notable Moves:
Knock Off
Sludge Bomb, Shadow Ball/Hex, Shock Wave, Icy Wind
Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Synthesis, Will-o-Wisp, Sleep Powder, Thunder Wave, Leech Seed, Aromatherapy, Calm Mind
Intended Role: hazards, mixed wall, cleric, calm mind
Role Justification: adds a defensive spiker that doesnt have to run boots, and can offer team support through a plethora of status effects. cleric could also be kinda neat since those are pretty rare. Also gives us a spore switchin which feels sorely needed right now. Calm Mind could also be neat as its immune to toxic, and Shock Wave/Icy Wind give it boltbeam coverage with the technician boost.
:swsh/roserade::swsh/banette-mega:
DNA Donors: Roserade / Mega Banette
Fusion Name: Mega Rosette
New Types:

New Ability: Prankster = ( + )
Ability Description: Combined effect of both the abilities.
Notable Moves:
Knock Off, Poison Jab, Shadow Claw
Sludge Bomb, Shadow Ball/Hex, Thunderbolt
Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Synthesis, Will-o-Wisp, Sleep Powder, Thunder Wave, Leech Seed, Aromatherapy, Swords Dance, Destiny Bond
Intended Role: hazards, mixed wall, cleric, swords dance, calm mind
Role Justification: have fun in RU but it prob doesn't do too bad there. prankster sleep powder carries it.

:swsh/archeops::swsh/aegislash:
DNA Donors: Archeops / Aegislash
Fusion Name: Slasheops
New Types:

Base Stats: 67 / 95 / 122 / 81 / 112 / 85 [BST: 562] (+0 HP / +0 Atk / +20 Def / +0 SpA / +10 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Fallen Stance = (Defeatist + Stance Change)
Ability Description: Combined effects. Switches to Shield form when below 50% HP.
Notable Moves:
Stone Edge, U-Turn, Knock Off, Close Combat, Shadow Claw,
Shadow Ball, Focus Blast, Heat Wave, Earth Power, Meteor Beam?
Roost, Defog, King's Shield, Swords Dance?
Intended Role: special breaker, defensive pivot, hazards/removal
Role Justification: this was an RU sub i had but with some typing changes it should do great in NU. Idea with the sub is that its a defensive pivot that plays to both ends of its HP mechanic, like how Archeops did in ORAS NU. Stance Change's bulk increase ensures the mon still has value when in Defeatist range. Mon looks kinda scary on paper but it can't sweep without roosting every other turn to disable Defeatist. We also have 1 rock type. L

New Ability: Leviflame = (Levitate + Flame Body)
Ability Description: Combined effect of both the abilities.
Notable Moves:
Knock Off, U-Turn, Super Fang
Volt Switch, Thunderbolt, Magma Storm, Flamethrower/Fire/Blast, Earth Power
Stealth Rock, Will-o-Wisp, Taunt
Intended Role: stallbreaker, defensive pivot
Role Justification: magma storm + super fang sounds like a neat combo, playing a bit like whirlpool fini. or using magma storm + u-turn to generate switches

:swsh/lycanroc-midnight::swsh/victini:
DNA Donors: Lycanroc-Midnight / Victini
Fusion Name: Lycantini
New Types:

Base Stats: 92 / 107 / 87 / 77 / 87 / 91 [BST: 541] (+0 HP / +0 Atk / +0 Def / +0 SpA / +0 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Star Spirit = (Vital Spirit + Victory Star)
Ability Description: Combined effect of both the abilities.
Notable Moves:
Stone Edge, Zen Headbutt, V-Create, Bolt Strike, U-Turn, Close Combat

Swords Dance, Stealth Rock, Taunt
Intended Role: physical breaker, hazard lead
Role Justification: Paracoal switchin because only Duskoma switches into spore. victory star stone edge makes it more reliable. other coverage moves are pretty unique for a rock mon. reveal skill swap on the buzzvine switch to start clicking v-create

:swsh/eternatus::swsh/pichu:
DNA Donors: Eternatus / Pichu
Fusion Name: Eternachu
New Types:

Base Stats: 85 / 62 / 75 / 95 / 75 / 95 [BST: 487] (+5 HP / +0 Atk / +20 Def / +5 SpA / +10 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Atmospheric Pressure = (Pressure + Static)
Ability Description: Combined effect of both the abilities.
Notable Moves:

Dynamax Cannon, Thunderbolt, Flamethrower, Volt Switch
Toxic Spikes, Recover, Nasty Plot, Thunder Wave, Toxic
Intended Role: defensive pivot, Calm Mind
Role Justification: TSpikes could be pretty cool here so here's a setter. Electric STAB threatens a few of the notable defoggers. Nasty Plot adds another layer to it. Does struggle with Claylamar though.

:swsh/venomoth::swsh/heracross:
DNA Donors: Venomoth / Heracross
Fusion Name: Venocross
New Types:

Base Stats: 80 / 100 / 75 / 65 / 85 / 87 [BST: 492] (+5 HP / +5 Atk / +8 Def / +0 SpA / +0 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Cool Shades = (Tinted Lens + Moxie)
Ability Description: Combined effect of both the abilities.
Notable Moves:
Megahorn, Close Combat, Earthquake, Knock Off, Poison Fang, U-Turn

Roost, Swords Dance, Spikes, Sleep Powder
Intended Role: physical breaker, spikes
Role Justification: physical tinted lens is largely unexplored in any tier. Megahorn carries the set with the Tinted Lens boost (no real poison stab), and the other stuff is mostly just there.
:swsh/venomoth::swsh/heracross-mega:
DNA Donors: Venomoth / Heracross-Mega
Fusion Name: Mega Venocross
New Types:

Base Stats: 80 / 160 / 115 / 65 / 95 / 77 [BST: 592] (+5 HP / +65 Atk / +48 Def / +0 SpA / +10 SpD / +-10 Spe)
New Ability: Skill Link
Notable Moves:
Megahorn, Close Combat, Earthquake, Knock Off, Poison Fang, U-Turn, Rock Blast

Roost, Swords Dance, Spikes, Sleep Powder
Intended Role: physical breaker, spikes
Role Justification: i dont know why you would run this honestly. just seems like bad version of base form
