Rock STAB + Ground coverage already covers pretty much everything you need, leaving you options on what to run on your last slot.

Additionally, its typing isn't great for a wall, considering its 4x weakness to Ground.

Its colorful (and powerful) coverage gives it yet another usable tool, while Taunt lets it cripple walls like Appledam, Duskoma and Emposerker. However, it is physically frail and slow without a DD boost.

Role Justification: Taloncatty has +3 priority Swords Dance (and the niche Me First), meaning that it can hit insanely hard with STAB Flare Blitz and Body Slam. It also has Zen Headbutt to deal with Hawlazzle and to a lesser extent, Regidurr. Wild Charge also hits Carcannon and Swannamence. It also packs Brave Bird to hurt Appledam. However, Taloncatty suffers from quite a few flaws. While it is fast, it is insanely frail, and losing one of the moves it wants to run (Wild Charge for Flying-types, Zen Headbutt for Poison- and Fighting-types, Play Rough for Dark-types, Brave Bird for Appledam, Sucker Punch for damage, etc.) It also is slower than Igglycian-C and dies to it quite quickly unless it uses Me First, which is..not ideal.

if you wanna go for setup, it has no shortage of that, with CM, NP+RP, and MBeam if you want.
coverage is surprisingly good, so flyings don't just wall its spin for free, either.
while it is decently bulky, it doesn't get reliable recovery, and so can be eventually worn down.

Additionally, if you can live, Shell Smash is nearly GG. Rapid Spin removes Rocks, which is incredibly helpful to continually keep switching in. But when I say "if", I mean if. Paracoal, Regidurr, Emposerker, and much, much more beat this due to its terrible defensive typing.
Way too strong as a shell smash sweeper. It's not nearly as hard to get a smash off as you think, as we have plenty of support options like Azekrow to enable a smash. Not really sure how this could be nerfed, as Cloyster's kit is just so strong and the offenses can't be further reduced.

Additionally, its typing isn't great for a wall, considering its 4x weakness to Ground.
Consider removing intimidate- It's otherwise ok but the bulk is just a bit too good with Intimidate factored in.

By now we are pretty far into the mod and our meta has more or elss solidified itself as a fast-paced yet balanced environment, where we have pretty quick battles but where defensive counterplay is still present. It's ideal that whatever submission we get now don't hurt the pacing of the metagame that much, as our players have expressed enjoyment out of the balanced meta we have right now. What the submissions should try to do instead is find ways to diversify what we do have while not causing a huge metagame impact. In other words, we are not really in any need for a new S-Tier mon for the meta, just make stuff that makes the middle tiers more diverse.


Speaking of S-tier, though, we have heard many complaints and reached a conclusion regarding a certain problematic mon.

Yeah who knew giving an infant a massive sword would be a bad idea? Igglycian was just a little too strong, restricting a bit of what we could use or what we could sub, and as a result, it's getting a stat nerf to 111 / 100 / 65 / 60/ 67 / 86, losing 15 points in Speed. This makes it much easier to check offensively, and also makes it prefer Choice Scarf to Choice Specs, indirectly lowering its damage output.

Role Justification: Special Fighting-type mon since we don't have those apparently. Standard wallbreaker and generally useful fast attacker that has splashable speed control and has very controlled sets. Splashable speed control is something that most tiers would appreciate, and this mon does that well since it has limited move options and no set up. It's ability allows it to fire off perfect accuracy Focus Blasts and Hurricanes, but it's lower offenses means dedicated special walls can tank this mon without much worry. Due to decent typing since it doesn't need HDB and usable bulk, it can also run some utility sets with Defog, Roost, Knock Off, then your choice of either attacking move or U-turn.

It also differentiates itself from Nihitrio by being physically focused offensively and not relying on MBeam, overall playing differently in general.

It is not scotch free in this however, as several Water immunities exist and they can swiftly halt it in action. Defensive swts are also viable since it's bulk is somewhat eh considering recovery.

Regipras has really really good bulk, a commendable ability and some decent utility options. 105/115/130 bulk goes crazy, so I get you must be wondering. Why is this NU? Well here is why, Ice/Steel sucks! It has 2 x4 weaknesses and one maojor one (EQ), and zero actual reliable healing makes for this Pokémon to be somewhat awkward to support. With that support however I think it makes for a good mon.
