Intended Role: Steel-Type Trapper via Magnet Pull, Trapper via Magma Storm, Stealth Rock Setter, Bulky Offense, Defensive Pivot, Burn Spreader
Role Justification: Heatzone is a bulky-offensive Pokemon with a good typing and a ton of versatility, being able to fill quite a lot of different roles, depending on what your team needs, and what ability you choose!
With its first ability "Flashing Pull", Heatzone can punish Steel-Type Pokemon by trapping them with Magnet Pull and hitting them hard with stab fire type moves, allowing other team mates to sweep that would otherwise be walled by them. An extra fire resistance with Flash Fire is also pretty neat and allows to potentially boost its fire type moves even further.
With its second ability "Analytic Flame", Heatzone can dish out a lot more damage and spread annoying burns at the same time if it is slower than the opponent. When combined with Lava Plume and/or Scorching Sands, the chance of burning the enemy is really high, assuming the two burn chances are allowed to stack (depending on how that is calculated, its either
51% if two 30% chances are rolled and at least one of them is a positive burn roll, or
60% if the two 30% chances are added together and rolled once).
With its amazing movepool, it can also set up stealth rocks, pivot with volt switch, sweep with Iron Defense + Body Press, Explode with its pretty decent 80 atk, trap Non-Steel type Pokemon with Magma Storm, etc.
Just keep in mind that quad weakness to Ground type moves, or use Air Baloon.
