Set 2

The Ground that rounds out the meta
Set 3: Restrictions 1 and 4

Flying in like a meteorite
The Ground that rounds out the meta
DNA Donors: Krookodile / Gliscor
Fusion Name: Glikodile
New Types:
Base Stats: 85 / 106 / 111 / 55 / 72 / 93 [BST: 522] (+0 HP / +0 Atk / +9 Def / +0 SpA / +0 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Abilities + Description:
Eagle Eyed = (Intimidate + Hyper Cutter) - Combined effects.
Barreling Through = (Moxie + Poison Heal) - Moxie effects; This Pokemon is healed by 1/8 of its max HP when it attacks and KOes another Pokemon.
Dust Rider = (Anger Point + Sand Veil) - Immune to critical hits. If Sandstorm is active, this Pokemon's Attack is 1.25x; immunity to Sandstorm.
Notable Moves:
Earthquake, Knock Off, Scale Shot, Stone Edge, U-turn...
...
Spikes, Stealth Rock, Swords Dance, Tailwind, Toxic...
Intended Role: Pivot, Bulky Wall, Hazard Setter, Setup Sweeper
Role Justification: Versatile Ground-type to diversify the meta after the introduction of our new Electrics. Glikodile's selection of abilities makes it super versatile in terms of playstyles, and yet it still only has a few select moves as part of its core set, so it comes out to a fairly interesting mon who is versatile not because of move variety, but ability variety, depending on what you want it to do. Eagle Eyed fits in the role for a defensive pivot that can tank hits from physical attackers, meanwhile Barreling Through can be used for a sweeper that gains attack when it KOes but still has bulk and staying power as it mows down teams. Dust Rider also seems pretty fun in a potential Sand meta (in the event anything like that would happen).

Flying in like a meteorite
DNA Donors: Obstagoon / Talonflame
Fusion Name: Obstaflame
New Types:
Base Stats: 85 / 85 / 100 / 70 / 75 / 110 [BST: 525] (+0 HP / +0 Atk / +14 Def / +3 SpA / +0 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Abilities + Descriptions:
Crash and Burn = (Guts + Gale Wings) - If this Pokemon is statused, its Flying-type moves have their priority increased by 1.
Agni Kai = (Defiant + Flame Body) - Combined effects.
Notable Moves:
Acrobatics, Body Press, Brave Bird, Dual Wingbeat, Knock Off, U-turn...
...
Bulk Up, Defog, Obstruct, Parting Shot, Roost, Swords Dance, Taunt, Trick, Will-o-Wisp...
Intended Role: Pivot, Setup Sweeper, Revengekiller, Hazard Removal
Role Justification: Obstaflame aims to be a fast Dark-type with some nifty utility and sets it can utilize. First and foremost, it will be the metas first Dark-type and acts as way to check Quaxtina and add some type diversity. At the same time, its two abilities allow it to play into some interesting team archetypes. Crash and Burn gives Obstaflame back Talonflame's status as smogon bird. The twist, however? Notice how the Guts portion of the ability is incomplete. This means that if you want your priority, then you can't use the Flame Orb without lowering your own attack in half. Which means you'll have to rely on the much more potent Toxic Orb to get your priority, which will eat at your turns fast. Of course, you can try to use Hurricane instead with Flame Orb, but coming off of only a 70 base SpA is a major oof. Regardless, you can't have your priority for free, and creates an interesting playstyle where you save up your Toxic Orb priority shenanigans for the final hour. On the other hand is Agni Kai, an ability much more consistent and much more safe as a way to punish physical attackers with burn and punish defoggers with Defiant. Not only that, but you've got your own bag of tricks up your sleeve like Body Press, Obstruct, Parting Shot, Trick, Swords Dance to sweep, and even a fast Taunt.
To summarize why I think Obstaflame is super cool:

To summarize why I think Obstaflame is super cool:
- Absorbs Knock Off with ease - Punishes Knock Off in an interesting way and also acts as an excellent Knock Off absorber. Not only does Obstagoon have decent bulk, but it resists Knock Off. Flame Body also cripples physical attackers that attempt to use Knock Off willynilly.
- Defensive mon that isn't passive - Perhaps the concept I've come to adore the most recently. This is the same mentality I had with Tinkascorch, and the same goes for Obstaflame. Obstaflame can find opportunities to punish stray Defogs and even stray Tinkascorch Fire Lash (ironically enough) to suddenly hit a lot harder than you might expect. It even gives way to unique battle states against Gyarafable's Fairy Portal and Gardepharos' Sink or Swim. Not only that, but Obstruct is a hilarious move you can slot in to allow it to have a surprising "comeback-esque mechanic" against physical attackers. A lot of the physical attackers in the meta currently have prime STAB contact moves that Obstruct can allow Obstaflame to flip the script. Speaking of Obstruct...
- This mon's utility is kinda funky - Obstruct is just one example of Obstaflame's bag of tricks, and Defog + Roost is your standard hazard removal stuff, but you also have Parting Shot pivoting, Body Press with potential Bulk Up sets???, and both Thunder Wave and Will-O-Wisp as a fast status spreader. You also have a fast Taunt and even Trick if you really want to go down the Crash and Burn + Hurricane route and just want to rain chaos (pardon the pun). Oh right, speaking of Crash and Burn...
- Speed control or defense - Obstaflame is able to switch between two very different playstyles as either an all-round either offensively bulky or defensive utility mon with Agni Kai, or a mon that can act as your lategame revengekiller / potential sweeper in one. What makes Crash and Burn a really genius concept here (imo) is the fact that its components make abusing the priority essentially a non-issue. Remember, unless you want to halve your attack with a burn, Flame Orb on physical sets is a no go. Toxic Orb is the only way to go about this, and it cuts your longevity hard. Even if you tried to utilize a Swords Dance set with Toxic Orb + Brave Bird priority, not only will you have to actually use one turn to set up SD (hence already starting the countdown to doom) but you also have to deal with both the badly poisoned status and recoil from Brave Bird. And even if you decided to not use Brave Bird, your other Flying-type STABs are either Acrobatics (which you'll need to receive a Knock Off to get to full power anyway), or Dual Wingbeat (which has a chance to miss and only has 80 BP if both times hit). Which means you can really only use it for speed control, which Obstaflame will do rather respectably anyway.
