Gigafrost is correct. The software is available now for regular users to back up their NDS games. I'm sure if someone at a Gamestop wanted to, they could easily copy the card and then make it available for people to download their own later. Shoot, there are a few guys on this forum that I bet could use that core software to create their own Wondercards with Ticklefett or some other "Smogon-exclusive" event poke.

I don't understand how this mystery gift thing works. You use mystery gift at gamestop and you get the event. Then you go to that one guy in the game and he gives you a pokeball with deoxys in it?

Yep. Synchronize doesn't work, however.
For those who asked I check at an EB Games and they said that they will also be doing the event. The dude handed me one of the fliers and specifically stated it happens at both EB and Gamestop.

It stays as long as you want. But I think you can only have 2 wondercards in your game at a time.
You can actually only have three at a time. Event instructions tell you to reduce the number of Wonder Cards *down to two* so that there's room for the third one.
Just this morning I went through all my games and deleted excess Wonder Cards as part of preparing for the Deoxys Event. Half of my games had three because they had been reduced to two just before the Darkrai Event. (Naturally, the Darkrai Event increased their Wonder Card count back up to three.)
The number is not over three because occasionally I or one of my family members have wanted to receive another item from Pokemon Battle Revolution but forgot that we had filled up our Wonder Cards.

No, you can't (for both questions.)
Someone above us already stated that EB games is doing it too, and that's in Canada, so for once, it doesn't suck (I'm Canadian too lol).
Well, hopefully 2 Deoxys is enough for me... as I only have 1 pearl game and 1 diamond game.
My own personal advantages:
-I'll be able to have an untouched Deoxys in my main game...
-One of each Deoxys Forme just for my My Pokemon Ranch "living pokedex" project
-Extra Deoxys for friends that missed the event
-(Some of those Extra Deoxys may have usable Natures/IVs thanks to the versatility of Deoxys, which I'll hang on to)
-6 Soft Resetable Deoxys so that I can obtain at least one usable Deoxys of each form and extra for the important formes (Attack and Speed, I'm thinking.)
(The reason I would want so many usable Deoxys is because I'd rather enjoy a pool of options as opposed to one set that I later regret being stuck with.)
Edit: Also, I don't believe in cloning.
