[OVERVIEW]

Genesect has a good Special Attack stat to back up its diverse movepool. This, along with its STAB moves, allows it to take care of many Water- and Psychic-types like Mega Gyrarados, Meloetta, and Mega Slowbro. Also, Genesect's typing allows it to resist Fairy-type moves from Pokemon like Mega Diancie. Its ability Download can make Genesect gain an additional Special Attack boost if the foe has lower Special Defense than Defense and is useful to get KOs it could not get otherwise against Pokemon such as Tapu Fini. Because of Genesect's movepool, it is tricky for the opponent to predict what coverage Genesect is running. However, Fire-types like Mega Charizard Y and Heatran give Genesect trouble. Genesect is easily KOed by neutral or super effective Z-Moves from Pokemon like Zeraora and Aegislash, as Genesect is often too frail to win matchups where it is outsped or it is not strong enough to KO the opponent. Steel-types such as Aegislash and Magearna give Genesect competition due to having more bulk and Special Attack without relying on Download for the right boost.

Moves
========

Thunderbolt allows Genesect to take care of Water-types like Tapu Fini and Gyarados. Ice Beam gives Genesect a way to deal with Dragon- and Flying-types such as Zygarde, Landorus-T, and Haxorus. Bug Buzz is a powerful Bug-type STAB move that takes care of Psychic- and Dark-types like Meloetta and Hoopa-U. Flamethrower is used for taking care of Mega Metagross and Magearna. Flash Cannon can be used for common Fairy-types like Mega Diancie and Tapu Lele; however, outside of that, it has limited use.

Set Details
========

Genesect runs 32 HP EVs and 40 Defense EVs in order to live Mega Gyarados's Waterfall after a Dragon Dance. 212 Special Attack EVs and 224 Speed EVs with a Timid nature allow Genesect to outspeed Tapu Fini, Psychium Z Tapu Lele, and Magearna before it has a chance to set up Calm Mind. Choice Specs allows Genesect's moves to take care of Pokemon like Tapu Fini, Mega Blastoise, and Landorus-T. Its ability Download allows it to get an additional Special Attack boost if the opposing Pokemon's Special Defense stat is lower than its Defense stat.

Usage Tips
========

Pick Genesect against the likes of Mega Slowbro, Mega Metagross, Mega Gyarados and Zygarde-C, as Genesect can tank an attack from all of these Pokemon and hit them back with Bug Buzz, Flamethower, Thunderbolt, or Ice Beam, respectively. It is important to note that Bug Buzz goes through Substitute, which makes Genesect able to beat Pokemon like Jumpluff. Thanks to the power boost of Choice Specs, Genesect can beat Fairium Z Magearna. Try to avoid sending Genesect in against Pokemon with Sturdy such as Donphan and Golem because it is unable to survive the combination of Z-Move + priority. Avoid sending Genesect against special walls like Chansey and Mega Sableye, as Genesect cannot take care of these Pokemon.

Team Options
========

Pokemon such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Tapu Fini, and Heatran are good to pair with Genesect to help with Steel-types like Aegislash. Dragon- and Water-types like Haxorus, Garchomp, Mega Gyarados, Primarina, and Tapu Fini can help with Fire-types like Heatran and Charizard. Garchomp and Heatran also can take care of most Steel-type Pokemon that can give Genesect trouble like Aegislash and Pokemon that are running a Z-Move that Genesect does not resist like Zeraora. Normal-types such as Meloetta and Porygon-Z can help with Primarina as well as Ghost-types like Mega Gengar and Aegislash, and both appreciate Genesect's ability to beat Landorus-T and Tapu Lele.

Moves
========

Thunderbolt allows Genesect to take care of Water- and Flying-types such as Mega Gyarados, Archeops, Greninja, and defensive Tapu Fini. Ice Beam lets Genesect take care of Dragon- and Ground-types like non-Choice Scarf Garchomp, Haxorus, Zygarde, and Landorus-T. Bug Buzz is an important STAB move for Psychic- and Dark-types such as Mega Slowbro and Choice Specs Greninja. Flamethrower is used to take care of Steel- and Bug-types like Mega Metagross, Mega Pinsir, Mega Scizor, and opposing Genesect. Flash Cannon hits Fairy-type such as non-Hidden Power Fire Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu, and Mega Gardevoir.

Set Details
========

Choice Scarf allows Genesect to outspeed Pokemon it usually cannot such as Greninja and non-Choice Scarf Garchomp. A Modest nature is used to make Genesect's attacks hit as hard as possible, and is preferred as there are no relevant Speed tiers Timid Genesect hits. 48 HP EVs and 56 Defense EVs allow Genesect to survive a Fake Out into High Jump Kick from Mega Lopunny and better deal with Pokemon like Skarmory. Maximum EVs in Special Attack and 152 Speed EVs make Genesect hit as strong as possible while outspeeding everything but Deoxys-S, Pheromosa, and faster Pokemon that are holding a Choice Scarf like Fire Fang Garchomp, Hoopa-U, and Modest Hydreigon. Download allows Genesect to get a boost to its Special Attack, to getting KOs on Pokemon such as Tapu Fini.

Usage Tips
========

Allow Genesect to come out in against frailer Pokemon it can hit super effectively like Choice Specs Greninja and Mega Slowbro, as Bug Buzz can easily take care of both. It can also come in against Pokemon like non-Choice Scarf Garchomp, Mega Lopunny, and Haxorus thanks to Choice Scarf. Try to keep it from being sent out when there are specially defensive Pokemon like Chansey, Blissey, and Aegislash, as Genesect's moves are easily taken by these Pokemon due to their bulk, and they can defeat Genesect in turn. Without the extra power from its item, do not send Genesect in against Magearna, as it loses even with Flamethrower. Genesect's uninvested bulk is mediocre, so avoid sending it in against Pokemon like Aegislash, Primarina, and Zeraora, which are Pokemon that Genesect cannot defeat first before they use their Z-Moves.

Team Options
========

Genesect pairs well with Dragon-types like Garchomp, Haxorus, and Naganadel, as these Pokemon help out with Charizard, Zeraora, and Mega Venusaur; however, if they are not using Choice Scarf, they all struggle with Greninja, and Garchomp and Haxorus struggle with Mega Gyarados. Water-types such as Mega Slowbro, Greninja, and Tapu Fini can help with Pokemon that Genesect cannot do anything against Mega Aggron and Naganadel. Fighting-types like Sawk and Mega Blaziken can take care of specially defensive Pokemon such as Chansey, Porygon2, and Blissey. Normal-types such as Porygon-Z, Mega Lopunny, and Shadow Ball Meloetta pair well with Genesect, as they can take care of threats like Aegislash and Tapu Lele.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Choice Band Genesect can be used with Blaze Kick, Iron Head, U-turn, and Gunk Shot or Return, but it will miss its BoltBeam coverage for taking care of Dragon-types like Haxorus and Water-types like Mega Blastoise. Genesect can run a more defensive set with 248 HP EVs, 228 Defense EVs, and a Bold nature to survive Donphan's and Golem's Z-Move + priority attack combo and be able to KO them; however, this results in having less Special Attack to score important KOs on Pokemon like Tapu Fini, as well as being a lot slower which prevents it from outpacing Haxorus. Genesect can run Douse Drive with Substitute, which allows it to take care of Steel-types like Heatran and Aegislash. However, this means dropping a coverage move and the power it gets from Choice Specs or the Speed it gets from Choice Scarf. Genesect can run Steelium Z with Metal Sound to take care of Pokemon like Chansey, but this means giving up coverage as well as power from Choice Specs or Speed from Choice Scarf.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fire-type Moves**: Fire-types such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Blacephalon, and Heatran can OHKO Genesect. Pokemon with Fire-type coverage like Tapu Lele, Choice Specs Margearna, Dragonite, Naganadel, and Mega Tyranitar can also take care of Genesect.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Specially defensive Pokemon like Chansey, Blissey, Primarina, and Aegislash can take any of Genesect's attacks well and stall it out or KO it.

**Faster Pokemon**: Pokemon such as Mega Lopunny, Charge Zeraora, and Garchomp can beat the Choice Specs set by outspeeding and KOing it with their STAB attacks, Z-Moves, or Fire-type moves.

**Sturdy Pokemon**: Sturdy Pokemon like Sawk, Magnezone, Golem, Mega Aggron, and Donphan take care of non-bulky Choice Specs and Choice Scarf Genesect due to their ability to survive one attack from Genesect and KO it using their Z-Moves.

[OVERVIEW]

* Genesect finds its way into 1v1 thanks to its diverse movepool.
* it has a good Special Attack offense stats to back up its good movepool and get a powerful damage output from its moves.
* With Genesect’s movepool and its STAB moves, this allows it to take care of many Water- Dragon- and Psychic-types like Mega Gyrarados, Haxorus, and Mew.
* Also, Genesect’s typing leaves it with only one weakness, Fire-types. I'd add a line about its bulk, since it's noteworthy that it can tank Golem's Tectonic Rage into Sucker Punch on the physical side, or Porygon-Z's Hidden Power Fire on the special side with appropriate investment, though not in the same set.
* However, its ability Download can make Genesect miss out on the extra Special Attack power due to the opponent's Pokemon stats. Actually, it's a two ended sword, with Download being a boon if its favorable offense is boosted, and lacking a punch if not.
* This can leave it out on scoring KOs against Primarina.
* It further suffers from the 4 move syndrome as it will always miss an attack it does not have for coverage.
* Genesect is easily KOed by non-resist z-moves from Pokemon like Zeraora, Aegislash, and z-move users that Genesect cannot KO first due to its mediocre bulk like Primarina.
* Steel-types like Mega Metagross, Mega Aggron, and Aegislash outclass Genesect due to having more bulk, a consistent ability like Tough Claws and Filter and having more Attack without relying on Download for the right boost.

Moves
========

* Thunderbolt allows Genesect to take care of Water- and Flying-types such as Mega Gyarados, Tapu Fini, and Mega Blastoise. It doesn't KO Tapu Fini and Mega Blastoise. Maybe suggest physically defensive Mega Charizard Y
* Ice Beam makes Genesect able to take care of Dragon- and Ground-types like Garchomp, Haxorus, Zygarde, and Landorus-T.
* Bug Buzz is important STAB for Psychic- and Dark-types like Mega Slowbro, Mew, and Greninja.
* Flamethrower is used to take care of Steel-types like Mega Metagross, Mega Scizor, and Excadrill.
* Flash Cannon hits Fairy-type like Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu and Mega Gardevoir.

Set Details
========

* Genesect equipped with Choice Scarf allows it to outspeed Pokemon it usually cannot like Mega Lopunny, Greninja, and Mega Diancie. (You don't beat Mega Lopunny anyway, and you beat Mega Diancie anyway unless Diancie starts running HP Fire)
* A Modest nature is used to make Genesect’s attacks hit as hard as possible.
* Max EVs in Special Attack and Speed to make enables Genesect to hit as strong as possible while outspeeding all Pokemon, but Deoxys-S or the Pokemon are holding a Choice Scarf. unless the foe is a Deoxys-S or opposing faster Choice Scarf user like Garchomp, Greninja or Timid Tapu Lele with Hidden Power Fire.
* Its ability Download allows it to get a boost to its Special attack if the opponents Pokemon Special Defense Stat is lower than its Defense stat. (where is it useful in securing the KO? Provide examples of, maybe physically defensive Mega Charizard Y or Primarina)

Usage Tips
========

* Allow Genesect to come out against Pokemon like Greninja and Mega Slowbro as Bug Buzz easily take care of these.
* Try to keep it from being sent out when there are special defensive Pokemon like Chansey Blissey and Aegislash as Genesect’s moves are easily taken by these Pokemon.
* Genesect’s bulk Is is mediocre so avoid sending it against Pokemon that Genesect cannot defeat first before opponent's Pokemon uses its z-moves from the likes of Skarmory, Primarina, and Zeraora.

Team Options
========

* Genesect pairs well with Dragon-types like Garchomp, Haxorus, and Naganadel as these Pokemon help out with Charizard, Zeraora, and Mega Venusaur. (I wouldn't quite say Charizard in this context, since it can [and does] use a set to counter these Pokemon which is very common in usage.)
* Water-types like Mega Slowbro, Greninja, and Tapu Fini can help with Pokemon that Genesect cannot like Mega Metagross, Mega Aggron, and Heatran.In this context, Waterium Z Tapu Fini with Rain Dance is better because it can handle Mega Charizard as well..
* Fighting-types like Sawk, and Mega Blaziken can take care of specially defensive Pokemon like Chansey and Blissey. * Normal-types like Porygon-Z, Mega Lopunny, and Meloetta pair well with Genesect as they can take care of threats like Aegislash and Mega Gengar.

(Add what Genesect can do in return for these Pokemon)

Moves
========

* Thunderbolt allows Genesect to take care of bulky Water-types like Mega Gyarados, Tapu Fini, Mega Blastoise, and Manaphy.
* Ice Beam gives Genesect a way to deal with Dragon- and Flying-types like Haxorus, Zygarde, and Landorus-T. However, Genesect must be careful around Pokemon like Naganadel and Garchomp as these commonly run Fire-types moves.
* Bug Buzz is a powerful Bug STAB to take care of Psychic- and Dark-types like Meloetta, Mega Slowbro, and Greninja. (Specs Cannon KO's, so this is not a good example, considering you don't outspeed. Mention that this move goes through Substitute, and thus can be used if the Sub user does not resist this move, like Whimsicott or Jumpluff)
* Flamethrower is used for taking care of offensive Aegislash, and Whimsiscott. (No, since Aegislash can still tank Specs Flamethrower, and no coz, against Whimsicott, you always use Bug Buzz, since Flamethrower doesn't OHKO, and Seed SubTect spam. Maybe provide Mega Metagross, Mega Mawile, Kartana and Durant as examples)
* Flash Cannon can be used for common Fairy-types like Mega Diancie and Tapu Lele, however it is useless other than hitting these types of Pokemon.

Set Details
========

* Genesects runs 236 HP and 240 Def to take a hit from Donphon, Donphan, Mega Lopunny, and Dragonite(Too iffy, since DNite can run special sets as well. Just mention Mega Gyarados, since this set does KOing MegaDos better than the Scarf set albeit the Waterfall flinch) .
* A Modest nature allows Genesect’s moves to hit as hard as possible.
* Choice Specs boosts Genesect’s Special Attack to make its attacks more powerful to take care of Pokemon like Primarina, Mega Metagross, and Tapu Bulu. (Not Primarina; not unless very maximum physically defensive Primarina, like 244+ Defense EVs on Primarina maybe gives SpA the boost in Download)
* Its ability Download allows it to get an additional Special Attack boost if the opponent’s Pokemon Special Defense stat is lower than its Defense stat. (Again, where does it help? Provide examples)

Usage Tips
========

* Bring in Genesect on Sturdy and Multiscale Pokemon like Donphan, Golem, and Dragonite(as mentioned previously, iffy match-up) as it can take care of these.
* Pick Genesect against the likes of Mega Lopunny, Haxorus and Tapu Fini as Genesect can tank an attack from all of these and kill them back with Bug Buzz, Ice Beam or Thunderbolt respectfully.
* It is also useful against Pokemon like Mega Slowbro as it can KO with it with Thunderbolt.

WHERE IS MEGA GYARADOS MENTIONS IN SPECS SET?
Team Options
========

* Pokemon that can take care of Steel-types like Mega Charizard X, Mega Chairzard Y, Tapu Fini, and Heatran are good to pair with Genesect.
* Dragon-types like Haxorus, Garchomp and Naga can help due with Fire-types like Heatran and Charizard and with walls that Genesect cannot take care of like Mega Venusaur.
* Normal-types like Meloetta and Porygon-Z can help with Mega Venusaur as well as Ghost-types like Mega Gengar and Aegislash.
* Water-types like Mega Slowbro, Mega Blastoise, and Manaphy can be used to help with Steel- and Fire-types like Mega Metagross, Heatran, and Incineroar.

[Again, mention what Genesect does in turn for these Pokemon. Also, reword other points leaving the last point... Don't c+p str8 from first :3]

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* Choice Band Genesect can be used with Blaze Kick, Iron Head, U-turn and Return can be used, but it will miss its BoltBeam coverage it gets to take care of Dragon-types like Dragonite and Haxorus and Water-types like Tapu Fini, and Mega Blastoise. [Actually CB Gunk Shot Genesect KOs Fini and Primarina, but Mega Toise is a valid point. If you feel like it, you could also include the Iron Head flinch rate ;) ]
* Hidden Power Rock can be used to catch a Charizard, or Volcarona off guard, but Genesect needs its other moves to take care of more Pokemon.

*(Mention its Z sets having mild potential, with access to moves like Metal Sound and Shift Gear helping its cause, but fading out in utility compared to its Choice Scarf and Choice Specs set)

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fire-types**: Fire-types like Mega Charizard X, Blacephalon and Heatran can OHKO Genesect and Pokemon with Fire-type coverage like Porygon-Z can also take care of Genesect.

**Specially defensive Pokemon**: Specially defensive Pokemon like Chansey, Blissey, and Aegislash can take any of Genesect’s attack well and stall it out.

**Sturdy Pokemon**: Sturdy Pokemon like Skarmory, Magnezone, and Donphan take care of Genesect due to living one attack from Genesect, and take care of it using their Z-moves though Donphan and Skarmory should look out for its bulkier sets.

[OVERVIEW]

* Genesect finds its way into 1v1 thanks to its diverse movepool. Fluffy, can be added alongside second point as "diverse movepool and good spa"
* it has a good Special Attack stat to back up its good movepool and get a powerful damage output from its moves.

* However, its ability Download can make Genesect miss out on the extra Special Attack power due to the opponent's Pokemon stats as this can leave it out on scoring KOs against Primarina. Reword this to instead point out that you can get an additional Spa Boost if the opponent has lower spdef, being useful in killing x, y, z/overkilling mons. Move this to Pro side of Overview
* It further suffers from the 4 move syndrome as it will always miss an attack it does not have for coverage. Mention how this makes it tricky for opponent to predict sets
* Genesect is easily KOed by non-resist Z-moves from Pokemon like Zeraora and Aegislash because Genesect cannot KO these Pokemon first due to its mediocre bulk do you mean speed? Bulk doesn't affect genesects ability to ko.
* Steel-types like Mega Metagross, Mega Aggron, Genesect is not just a steel type, its a powerful special attacker and a steel type. Not comparable to those two Aegislash outclass Genesect due to having more bulk, a consistent ability like Tough Claws and Filter and having more Attack without relying on Download for the right boost. This entire point is weird, could use some better explanation for why its outclassed

* Thunderbolt allows Genesect to take care of Water- and Flying-types such as Mega Gyarados, defensive Tapu Fini, and Mega Blastoise. Nah son he bodies 248+ SpA Blastoise-Mega Hydro Cannon vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Genesect: 288-339 (100.3 - 118.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
* Ice Beam makes Genesect able to take care of Dragon- and Ground-types like non-Choice Scarf Garchomp, Haxorus, Zygarde, and Landorus-T.
* Bug Buzz is important STAB for Psychic- and Dark-types like Mega Slowbro, Mew n, Mew OHkOs with overheat, and Choice Specs Greninja (Shadow Sneak into Waterium kills).
* Flamethrower is used to take care of Steel-types like Mega Scizor, and Excadrill. Why not mention Mega metagross? Seems v relevant
* Flash Cannon hits Fairy-type like non-Hidden Power Fire Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu and Mega Gardevoir.

Set Details
========

* Genesect equipped with Choice Scarf allows it to outspeed Pokemon it usually cannot like Greninja, and Mega Diancie sure but did u lose to Mega Diancie w/o it? Maybe choose a more relevant example if u beat it anyway.
* A Modest nature is used to make Genesect’s attacks hit as hard as possible, and because there are no relevant speed tiers Timid Genesect hits
* Max EVs in Special Attack and Speed to make Genesect hit as strong as possible while outspeeding all Pokemon using a Choice Scarf, but Deoxys-S or the Pokemon are holding a Choice Scarf like Fire Fang Garchomp.
* Its ability Download allows it to get a boost to its Special attack if the opponents Pokemon Special Defense Stat is lower than its Defense stat which can make a differce of Genesect being able to KO Pokemon like Primarina. tbolt is just going to get it in torrent range, then ohko you

Usage Tips
========

obviously converted into the other format and other moves slashed in. This allows it to outspeed and beat any psychium lele set, as well as live gyarados at +1 guaranteed while not losing to waterfall flinches, which the slower variant suffered from, also allowing u to outspeed magearna, which will avoid any cm pain split z move shenanigans, as well as outspeeding fini and avoiding any tapunium shenanigans. Also lets it beat defensive normalium pz, which it was inconsistent with before Also still beats max hp blastoise thanks to special attack. Make this the main, and put the defensive set in oo as anti golphan

For the rest of the qc check, i will be qcing as if this was written for this new set, so u don't have to rewrite as much

Moves
========

* Thunderbolt allows Genesect to take care of bulky Water-types like Tapu Fini, Mega Blastoise, and Manaphy. no +3 waterium kos with no special investment
* Ice Beam gives Genesect a way to deal with Dragon- and Flying-types like Haxorus, Zygarde, and Landorus-T. However, Genesect must be careful around Pokemon like Naganadel and Garchomp as these commonly run Fire-types moves. separate these two somewhat, bc Naganadel will always run fire blast, whereas garchomp only runs fire about 25% of the time
* Bug Buzz is a powerful Bug STAB to take care of Psychic- and Dark-types like Meloetta, Mega Slowbro, and Greninja.
* Flamethrower is used for taking care of offensive Aegislash even offensive puts 4 into spdef, so they beat genesect, and Whimsiscott flash cannon beats whimsicott more reliably. New examples can be mons like mega metagross and magearna
* Flash Cannon can be used for common Fairy-types like Mega Diancie and Tapu Lele, however, it is useless other than hitting these types of Pokemon. fluff, and if this is true put it in oo

Set Details
========

* Genesects runs 236 HP and 240 Def change to 248 HP and 228 Def with a Bold Nature to take a hit from Donphan and Golem Mega Lopunny, and Dragonite. This isn't tru, dnite usually runs fire coverage and speedy can just z into regular move. Mega Lopunny 2hkos u and u can't ohko it. So move this point to OO
change to talking about EVs: 32 HP / 40 Def / 212 SpA / 224 Spe

* A Modest nature allows Genesect’s moves to hit as hard as possible.
* Choice Specs boosts Genesect’s Special Attack to make its attacks more powerful to take care of Pokemon like Primarina, specs can't beat prima Mega Metagross, and Tapu Bulu. you don't need specs gene to beat either. What does specs beat that scarf doesn't? use that as examples to set it apart
* Its ability Download allows it to get an additional Special Attack boost if the opponent’s Pokemon Special Defense stat is lower than its Defense stat.

Usage Tips
========

* Bring in Genesect on Sturdy and Multiscale Pokemon like Donphan, Golem, and Dragonite as it can take care of these.
* Pick Genesect against the likes of Mega Lopunny can't ohko lop, Haxorus and defensive Tapu Fini as Genesect can tank an attack from all of these and OHKO u ain't ohkoing fini lmao them back with Bug Buzz, Ice Beam or Thunderbolt respectfully.
* It is also useful against physical defensive Pokemon like Mega Slowbro as it can KO with it with Thunderbolt. Bug Buzz

Team Options
========

* Pokemon that can take care of Steel-types Which steel types give problems to Genesect? Flamethrower is on the main set like Mega Charizard X, Mega Chairzard Y, Tapu Fini, and Heatran are good to pair with Genesect. Also if said steel types prove to be problems vs those mons as well (as I suspect Mega Aggron will) consider switching up the examples
* Dragon-types like Haxorus, Garchomp, and Naganadel doesn't beat heatran nor spdef char x can help due with Fire-types like Heatran and Charizard and with walls that Genesect cannot take care of like Mega Venusaur. If you're including Mega Venusaur, then specify the z move variants of the dragons, bc venu beats choiced variants of either with charm
* Normal-types like Meloetta and Porygon-Z can help with Mega Venusaur as well as Ghost-types like Mega Gengar and Aegislash.
* Water-types like Mega Slowbro, Mega Blastoise, and Manaphy can be used to help with Steel- and Fire-types like Mega Metagross u beat megagross, Heatran, and Incineroar.

include bulky anti golphan specs
* Hidden Power Rock can be used to catch Charizard, or Volcarona off guard, but Genesect needs its other moves to take care of more Pokemon. Either they outspeed specs and ohko, or they live scarfs and ohko
Talk about Hyper Beam, Psychic and Energy Ball for different types of coverage

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fire-types**: Fire-types like Mega Charizard X, Blacephalon and Heatran can OHKO Genesect and Pokemon with Fire-type coverage like Porygon-Z HP fire does exist but its very rare. Maybe say Dragonite and/or HP Fire lele instead? can also take care of Genesect.

**Specially defensive Pokemon**: Specially defensive Pokemon like Chansey, Blissey, and Aegislash can take any of Genesect’s attack well and stall it out or knock it out

**Faster Pokemon**: Pokemon like Mega Lopunny, Charge Zeraora, and Garchomp can beat the Choice Specs set due to either outspeeding and KOing it with either its STAB attacks, Z-moves or carrying a Fire-type move.

**Sturdy Pokemon**: Sturdy Pokemon like Skarmory, Magnezone, Golem and Donphan take care of Genesect due to living one attack from Genesect, and take care of it using their Z-moves.

mostly good Magma , but the new set can't beat golphan, so remove Bring in Genesect on Sturdy and Multiscale Pokemon like Donphan, Golem and Dragonite. from usage tips in choice specs

Also Aegislash optimally runs 4 spdef evs, specifically to beat Genesect. Please remove that as a mon Genesect can beat, saw it a bunch of times.

also u should slash in flash cannon for specs on the main set. I was kinda being dumb when i said to put it in OO, lele is a v prevalent mon and having a stab option that hits lele is important

in team options for specs, Pokemon that can take care of Steel-types like Mega Aggron such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, doesn't rlly work, because aggron beat both zards

Otherwise pretty good. After u implement those 4, qc 1/3

* Genesect suffers from the 4 move syndrome as it will always miss an attack it does not have for coverage, however, this makes it tricky for the opponent to predict what set Genesect is running.
I can't tell if what I'm doing is GP, but ill just put it anyway. "Coverage" instead of "set" as different coverage moves /= different set

* Thunderbolt allows Genesect to take care of bulky Water-types like Tapu Fini and Mega Blastoise.
Not really.
212 SpA Choice Specs Genesect Thunderbolt vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Blastoise-Mega: 240-284 (80.2 - 94.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (assuming there is 0 def or spdef evs, or if there is more spdef than def evs on the blastoise, genesect won't recieve download boost due to Blastoise normal having higher spdef and def, allowing Blastoise to live.
0- Atk Blastoise-Mega Fake Out vs. 32 HP / 40 Def Genesect: 13-16 (4.4 - 5.4%) -- possibly the worst move ever
252+ SpA Blastoise-Mega Hydro Cannon vs. 32 HP / 0 SpD Genesect: 288-340 (98.9 - 116.8%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO
blastoise can return kill, and even if its not 252 modest, blastoise can just use mirror coat (which isn't terribly uncommon). I suggest rewording it, saying perhaps "...take care of Water-types such as Tapu Fini and (insert other thing you wish)."

Steel-types like Aegislash and Magearna outclass Genesect due to having more bulk and having more Special Attack without relying on Download for the right boost.
Outclass doesn't seem to be the right word. They all just serve different niches, with Genesect's being having a huge amount of coverage and a pretty decent attacking stat.

Flash Cannon can be used for common Fairy-types like Mega Diancie and Tapu Lele, however, it is useless other than hitting these types of Pokemon.
This kind of logic can be applied to the rest of the moves, where they're useless if they're not super effective. Also include Rock-Types.

* Pokemon that can take care of Steel-types such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Tapu Fini, and Heatran are good to pair with Genesect to help with Pokemon like Aegislash and Mega Metagross.
In the first place, struggling with steel types is not something Genesect generally does, if anything, it struggles with most fire types. And it especially does not struggle with Metagross-Mega, and there's only one existing Metagross set that beats genesect consistantly and its been relegated to the depths of my teambuilder never to see light again

* Genesect can run a more defensive set with 248 HP and 228 Def with a Bold Nature to take a hit from Donphan and Golem, and be able to OHKO them, however, this means having less Special Attack to score important KOs on Pokemon like Tapu Fini.
Elaborate more on this matchup. Genesect needs to live both a Z-Move and an Ice Shard / Sucker Punch. Also, Genesect cant OHKO Donphan or Golem ever due to sturdy.

**Sturdy Pokemon**: Sturdy Pokemon like Skarmory, Magnezone, Golem, and Donphan take care of Genesect due to living one attack from Genesect, and take care of it using their Z-moves
You listed above in the Other Options section that Genesect CAN beat Golem and Donphan. Say that here like you did for the "faster pokemon" section and Garchomp vs Specs / Scarf. Also include Aggron in this list, as it beats Genesect fairly usually.

Other than the aforementioned things, a pretty good post, just take a look at these changes and get back to me, and I'll take a look back at it again, and if I see nothing else I'll stamp it.

Banned deucer.
Magma lets go
intro:
- genesect is a pretty in general bad dragon check so take out the dragon part and add like meloetta
- when talking about typing in the beggining: make it postitive, add its weakness to fire types in the end with steels. mention fairy resistance instead
- remove 4mss it doesnt rly have it
moves:
- remove "that doesnt mega right away" on mgyarados youre never clicking bug buzz vs it
- hax after the two good grounds
- the chomp/naga thing doesnt belong at all remove it
- remove gren from darks, (252 SpA Choice Specs Greninja Hydro Cannon vs. 32 HP / 0 SpD Genesect: 325-384 (111.6 - 131.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO) add in like krookodile instead.
- i wouldnt say flash cannon is "useless" outside of that instead mention having limited use.
set details:
- woah slow down there tiger. explain what the defense and hp do first, then the speed in a seperate sentence.
- add a bit about choice specs and how you don't need to switch up moves, mention choice specs in download part too
usage tips:
- very skeletal, beef this up! add how rly all you need to do is click the right coverage move.
- haxorus and "defensive tapu fini" are both pretty bad examples. one is a specific set and the other a particularly uncommon mon. instead do like megagross and zygod.
- mention bug buzz going thru sub
team options:
- "pokemon like" -> "steels like"
- mention how garchomp and heatran beat steels
- mega venusaur isnt the most troubling pokemon to genesect, download usually gets +spa and venu cant do much back. mention like primarina instead
- add mega venusaur as a partner, beats like primarina well while appreciating genesect's ability to beat landot and lele
- replace literally all of those water types with like gyara/primarina/fini which actually beat zard
scarf moves:
- mention the scarf part more.. gren, naga, mpinsir, archeops, mlop, etc..
- the only like relevant steel here is gross. replace exca (mimi gone) with opposing genesect
scarf set details:
- the download sentence is pretty terrible scrap and rewrite mentioning how it helps bc of no specs
team options:
- mention how those dragons dun like gren or gyara
- mega aggron and heatran are very irrelevant
- name another fat thing that isnt bliss/chansey
- mega gengar is stupidly irrelevent name something else
oo:
- on the fat set mention lack of speed
- on steelium its just as strong just misses out on coverage
- stop insisting you need to give up ice beam / tbolt when you can give up flmethrower or something
- drop energy ball and hyper beam
- mention douse drive with sub to beat annoying steels (and fires) like heatran and aegislash
cc:
- mention zardy in fires to it doesnt lose, also add fire coverage like hp fire gear and fire move dnite and naga and mega ttars fire punch
- remove skarm and add in sawk
- add primarina into specially defensive mons

gonna keep it real - this 2/3 analysis isn't polished enough for me to send off to gp. really think it needs more substance, and better examples. someone else should look over it before its grammar checked. qc 3/4, ask macemaster / landon for your fourth.

[OVERVIEW]

Genesect has a good Special Attack stat to back up its diverse movepool and get a powerful damage output from its moves. With Genesect’s movepool and its STAB moves, this allows it to take care of many Water- and Psychic-types like Mega Gyrarados, Meloetta, and Mega Slowbro. Also, Genesect’s typing leaves it to resist Fairy-types like Mega Diancie. Its ability Download can make Genesect get an additional Special Attack boost if the opponent has lower Special Defense and be useful to get KOs it could not get without this boost such as Tapu Fini. Because of Genesect's movepool it tricky for the opponent to predict what coverage Genesect is running. Fire-types give Genesect trouble like Mega Charizard Y and Heatran can take care of Genesect. Genesect is easily KOed by non-resist Z-moves from Pokemon like Zeraora and Aegislash because Genesect cannot KO these Pokemon first due to its speed or cannot tank the Z-move. Steel-types like Aegislash and Magearna give Genesect competition due to having more bulk and having more Special Attack without relying on Download for the right boost.

Moves
========

Thunderbolt allows Genesect to take care of Water-types like Tapu Fini and Gyarados. Ice Beam gives Genesect a way to deal with Dragon- and Flying-types like Zygarde, Landorus-T, and Haxorus. Bug Buzz is a powerful Bug STAB to take care of Psychic- and Dark-types like Meloetta, Mega Slowbro, and Krookodile these are both beaten by Genesect's other coverage moves. Mention something like Hoopa-Unbound and Jumpluff where Bug Buzz is actually needed. Flamethrower is used for taking care of Mega Metagross and Magearna. Flash Cannon can be used for common Fairy-types like Mega Diancie and Tapu Lele, however, outside of that instead mention having limited use. rephrase this, instead of copy pasting.

Set Details
========

Genesects runs 32 HP, 40 in Defense, 212 in Special Attack and 224 Speed split this up. You're talking about tanking gyarados talk about hp and defense evs. in EVs with a Timid nature same deal say this later when it is relevant in order to live a Mega Gyarados Waterfall after a Dragon Dance. here mention the speed It also allows Genesect to outspeed Psychium-Z Tapu Lele and Magearna before it has a chance to set up Calm Mind, and outpacing Tapu Fini. Genesect runs Choice Specs with 212 Special Attack EVs allows Genesect’s moves to hit as hard as possible and be able to take care of Pokemon like Tapu Fini, Mega Blastoise, and Landorus-T. Its ability Download allows it to get an additional Special Attack boost if the opponent’s Pokemon Special Defense stat is lower than its Defense stat which can power up even more thanks to Choice Specs.

Usage Tips
========

Pick Genesect against the likes of Mega Slowbro, Mega Metagross, Mega Gyarados and Zygarde-C as Genesect can tank an attack from all of these and hit these Pokemon back with Bug Buzz, Flamethower, Ice Beam or Thunderbolt respectfully this is not respectfully. correct this so that thunderbolt and ice beam match the pokemon it beats. Try to avoid sending Genesect against Sturdy Pokemon like Donphan and Golem because it is unable to live after a Z-move into Ice Shard and Sucker Punch. Avoid sending Genesect against Special walls like Chansey and Mega Sableye as Genesect cannot take care of these Pokemon. It is important to note that Bug Buzz goes though Substitute that makes it able to beat Pokemon like Jumpluff. move this up so it is with the things that it beats.

Mention Fairium Z magearna as a pokemon that it beats.

Team Options
========

Pokemon such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Tapu Fini, and Heatran are good to pair with Genesect to help with Steel-types like Aegislash. Dragon-types like Haxorus and Garchomp can help with Fire-types like Heatran and Charizard. Garchomp and Heatran also can take care of most Steel-type Pokemon that can give Genesect trouble, such as? . Pokemon that are running a Z-move. Normal-types like Meloetta and Porygon-Z can help with Primarina as well as Ghost-types like Mega Gengar and Aegislash and both appreciate Genesect's ability to beat Landorus-T and Tapu Lele. Water-types like Mega Gyarados, Primarina, and Tapu Fini can be used to help with Fire-types like Heatran, Charizard and Incineroar. You can group these better, as you have two "help with fire type" sections.

Thunderbolt allows Genesect to take care of Water- and Flying-types such as Mega Gyarados, Archeops, Greninja, and defensive Tapu Fini. Ice Beam makes Genesect able to take care of Dragon- and Ground-types like non-Choice Scarf Garchomp, Haxorus, Zygarde, Naganadel naganadel runs 4 spdef to avoid the download boost and is thus only a very unreliable 50% for Genesect to OHKO so don't mention naga and Landorus-T. Bug Buzz is important STAB for Psychic- and Dark-types like Mega Slowbro and Choice Specs Greninja. Flamethrower is used to take care of Steel- and Bug-types like Mega Scizor, move Scizor further back, its not as relevant as the others Mega Metagross, Mega Pinsir and opposing Genesect. Flash Cannon hits Fairy-type like non-Hidden Power Fire Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu and Mega Gardevoir.

Set Details
========

Genesect equipped with Choice Scarf allows it to outspeed Pokemon it usually cannot like Greninja, and non-Choice Scarf Garchomp. A Modest nature is used to make Genesect’s attacks hit as hard as possible, and because there are no relevant speed tiers Timid Genesect hits. Max EVs in Special Attack and Speed to make Genesect hit as strong as possible while outspeeding all Pokemon using a Choice Scarf, but Deoxys-S or the Pokemon are holding a Choice Scarf like Fire Fang Garchomp. rephrase this, you mention choice scarf twice. Its ability Download allows it to get a boost to its Special attack that it appreciates as it allows it to get KOs on Pokemon like Tapu Fini.

Usage Tips
========

Allow Genesect to come out against frailer Pokemon it can hit super effectively like Choice Specs Greninja and Mega Slowbro as Bug Buzz easily take care of these. Try to keep it from being sent out when there are special defensive Pokemon like Chansey Blissey and Aegislash as Genesect’s moves are easily taken by these Pokemon due to their bulk and they can defeat Genesect in turn. Genesect’s uninvested bulk Is mediocre so avoid sending it against Pokemon that Genesect cannot defeat first before opponent's Pokemon uses its z-moves from the likes of Skarmory, Primarina, and Zeraora. you literally have one line saying what it can come in on, and the rest is saying what you shouldn't. There is also nothing here that indicates that Choice Scarf has anything better than Choice Specs outside of Greninja.

I'd say one of the most important pokemon you lose out to in the Choice Scarf set is magearna. Mention this. You have no reliable way of beating it. Try to find more examples where the Choice Scarf set wins or loses that the Choice Specs one doesn't.

Team Options
========

Genesect pairs well with Dragon-types like Garchomp, Haxorus, and Naganadel as these Pokemon help out with Charizard, Zeraora, and Mega Venusaur, however they struggle with Greninja and Mega Gyarados, no they dont. find better examples. .. Water-types like Mega Slowbro, Greninja, and Tapu Fini can help with Pokemon that Genesect cannot like Mega Aggron and Naganadel. Fighting-types like Sawk, and Mega Blaziken can take care of specially defensive Pokemon like Chansey, Porygon2 and Blissey. Normal-types like Porygon-Z, Mega Lopunny, and Shadow Ball Meloetta pair well with Genesect as they can take care of threats like Aegislash and Tapu Lele.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Choice Band Genesect can be used with Blaze Kick, Iron Head, U-turn and Gunk Shot / Return can be used, but it will miss its BoltBeam coverage it gets to take care of Dragon-types like Dragonite mention something else that it reliably beats and Haxorus and Water-types like Mega Blastoise. Genesect can run a more defensive set with 248 HP and 228 Def with a Bold Nature to take a hit from Donphan and Golem from both their Z-Move and Ice Shard / Sucker Punch, and be able to KO them, however, this means having less Special Attack to score important KOs on Pokemon like Tapu Fini as well as be a lot slower that prevents it to outpace Garchomp it doesnt outpace garchomp normally. Genesect can run Douse Drive with Substitute that allows Genesect to take care of Steel-types like Heatran and Aegislash, however this means dropping a coverage move and the power it gets from Choice Specs or Speed from Choice Scarf. Genesect can run Steelium Z with Metal Sound to take care of Pokemon like Chansey, but this means giving up power from Choice Specs or Speed from Choice Scarf as well as coverage. Psychic can be used to KO Mega Lopunny, but this means dropping an important move like Flamethrower. psychic for choice scarf or choice specs set? if it is for choice specs, choice specs loses anyway because it dies to fake out -> HJK. if for choice scarf..it doesnt OHKO because no download boost.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fire-types moves**: Fire-types like Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Blacephalon and Heatran can OHKO Genesect and Pokemon with Fire-type coverage like Tapu Lele, Choice Specs Margearna, Dragonite, Naganadel and Mega Tyranitar can also take care of Genesect.

**Specially defensive Pokemon**: Specially defensive Pokemon like Chansey, Blissey, Primarina, and Aegislash can take any of Genesect’s attack well and stall it out or knock it out.

**Faster Pokemon**: Pokemon like Mega Lopunny, Charge Zeraora, and Garchomp can beat the Choice Specs set due to either outspeeding and KOing it with either its STAB attacks, Z-moves or carrying a Fire-type move.

**Sturdy Pokemon**: Sturdy Pokemon like Sawk, Magnezone, Golem, Mega Aggron, and Donphan take care of non bulky Choice Specs and Choice Scarf Genesect due to living one attack from Genesect, and take care of it using their Z-moves.

You've got a lot of stuff here, both good and bad. There are some areas where it is very difficult to understand what you are trying to say, and repetition in some areas make it unclear.
Withholding QC until implemented. Will also have to double check a couple things with the QC team.

Magma to add on, 120 hp lets you live jolly fake out into jolly hjk. The extra bulk also allows you to beat mons like Skarmory and 148 gives you 271, the magic number to outspeed mega lopunny at +1. 4 spdef to get the attack boost on download, everything else into special attack. You 2HKO Lopunny-Mega with only Flash Cannon, it resists everything else or they fail to get the 2hko. This loses out on matchups with pokemon that are inbetween the 405-445 speed range, such as Scarf Hoopa-U, Pheromosa, Scarf Modest Hydreigon.

We're actually considering this as the main scarf set, so hold on but don't hold your breath

Modest Nature

Beats Mega Lopunny and normalium Pz with flash cannon. Maximizes special attack, and outspeeds Lopunny Mega. 4 extra evs were put into speed cause we could. Spdef download boost wasn't really relevant, we determined.

Yeah it's looking a lot better. just a couple more points:
in specs
- moves: either remove jumpluff or add Grass- types beforehand. I know I was the one who brought jumpluff up, but it doesnt match what you say beforehand so adjust accordingly.
- set details: you have 212 spa mentioned twice.
in scarf
- usage tips: remove skarmory as something it loses to. Genesect actually beats it as stated earlier.

correct freddy's name in the credits section. I'm going to double check psychic's use with the team and get back to u asap.

Its ability Download allows it to get a boost to its Special attack Attack, (AC) that it appreciates which is appreciates as it allows it to get KOs on Pokemon like such as Tapu Fini.

Usage Tips
========

Allow Genesect to come out against frailer Pokemon it can hit super effectively like Choice Specs Greninja and Mega Slowbro, (AC) as Bug Buzz can easily take care of both these. It can also come out against Pokemon like non-Choice Scarf Garchomp, Mega Lopunny and Haxorus thanks to carrying Choice Scarf. Try to keep it from being sent out when there are special defensive Pokemon like such as Chansey, (AC) Blissey, (AC) and Aegislash, (AC) as Genesect’s moves are easily taken by these Pokemon due to their bulk, (AC) and they can defeat Genesect in turn. Due to not having extra power from an item, do not send it out against Magearna, (AC) as it fails to take care of it with Flamthrower. Genesect’s uninvested bulk Is is mediocre, (AC) so avoid sending it against Pokemon that Genesect cannot defeat first before opponent's Pokemon they uses its z-moves their Z-Moves from the likes of Aegislash, Primarina, and Zeraora.

Team Options
========

Genesect pairs well with Dragon-types like Garchomp, Haxorus, and Naganadel, (AC) as these Pokemon help out with Charizard, Zeraora, and Mega Venusaur,; (remove comma, add semicolon) however, if they are not Choice Scarf, they all struggle with Greninja and Garchomp and Haxorus struggles with Mega Gyarados. Water-types like such as Mega Slowbro, Greninja, and Tapu Fini can help with Pokemon that Genesect cannot do anything against like Mega Aggron and Naganadel. Fighting-types like Sawk, (RC) and Mega Blaziken can take care of specially defensive Pokemon like such as Chansey, Porygon2, and Blissey. Normal-types like such as Porygon-Z, Mega Lopunny, and Shadow Ball Meloetta pair well with Genesect as they can take care of threats like Aegislash and Tapu Lele.

Other Options
=============

Choice Band Genesect can be used with Blaze Kick, Iron Head, U-turn and Gunk Shot / or Return can be used, but it will miss its BoltBeam coverage it gets to take care of Dragon-types like Haxorus and Water-types like Mega Blastoise. Genesect can run a more defensive set with 248 HP and 228 Def EVs with a Bold Nature nature to take a hit from Donphan and Golem from both of their Z-Moves and Ice Shard / or Sucker Punch, and be able to KO them,; (remove comma, add semicolon) however, this means having less Special Attack to score important KOs on Pokemon like Tapu Fini as well as being a lot slower, (AC) which that prevents it to outpace from outpacing Haxorus. Genesect can run Douse Drive with Substitute, (AC) which that allows Genesect it to take care of Steel-types like Heatran and Aegislash, however,. (add period) this This means, (AC) however, (AC) dropping a coverage move and the power it gets from Choice Specs or Speed from Choice Scarf. Genesect can run Steelium Z with Metal Sound to take care of Pokemon like Chansey, but this means giving up power from Choice Specs or Speed from Choice Scarf, (AC) as well as coverage.
