[SET COMMENTS]
Owing to its high bulk, good matchup versus common entry hazard setters such as Primal Groudon, Ferrothorn, and Necrozma-DM, and inability to be trapped by Gothitelle and Mega Gengar, Giratina is a good Defogger for bulky balance teams and stall teams as well as a check to Zacian-C, Dragon Dance Mega Rayquaza, Necrozma-DM, and Swords Dance Arceus formes. Defog in tandem with Pressure enables Giratina to reliably remove hazards throughout the game. Toxic allows Giratina to cripple switch-ins such as Ho-Oh, Yveltal and Xerneas while chipping away at offensive threats such as Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre. Will-O-Wisp allows Giratina to punish offensive Pokemon such as Necrozma-DM, Ultra Necrozma, Mega Rayquaza, and Zacian-C that may attempt to aggressively switch in or set up while allowing Giratina to chip Ferrothorn. Rest provides Giratina with a form of recovery while curing it of status. Roar is an option over Will-O-Wisp in order to rack up hazard damage and to fully prevent Giratina from being set up on by Pokemon such as Calm Mind + Refresh Arceus formes and Substitute Zacian-C, but it is generally not recommended, as it only provides a temporary check to physical wallbreakers, allowing them to freely attack Giratina. The given EV spread maximizes physical bulk while ensuring Giratina avoids the 2HKO from Primal Kyogre's Ice Beam after Stealth Rock damage. A Relaxed nature and minimum Speed IVs are recommended in order to use Defog after Primal Groudon and Necrozma-DM use Stealth Rock.

Giratina is very passive, so it fits primarily on stall and bulkier balance teams that can patch up its weakness to top-tier threats and prevent it from being taken advantage of while asleep. In return, it offers powerful entry hazard control and status absorption. Yveltal is a huge threat to Giratina, so switch-ins such as Chansey, Tyranitar, Diancie and Ho-Oh to an extent are invaluable. In particular, Chansey and Diancie also offer cleric support to mitigate the effects of Rest, making them especially good partners. Substitute + Dragon Tail Zygarde-C sets up for free on Giratina, so strong checks such as Ice Beam or Perish Song Arceus formes are recommended. Refresh + Calm Mind Arceus formes also set up on Giratina for free, therefore checks such as Chansey or Whirlwind users such as Ho-Oh and Lugia are appreciated. Xerneas is also a huge threat to Giratina, and teammates such as Necrozma-DM and the aforementioned Chansey can check it. Switch-ins to Eternatus such as Tyranitar and Chansey are appreciated too. Play Rough Zacian-C and Draco Meteor Mega Rayquaza are common threats that Giratina cannot handle easily, so Lugia, Necrozma-DM, and Arceus-Ground are good partners for it.

Owing to it's high bulk, good matchup vs common Stealth Rock users such as Primal Groudon, and Necrozma-DM, and its inability to be trapped, Giratina is a good defogger for fatter balance teams and stall teams to consider using. Mention its downsides here, such as it being outclassed by Ho-oh as a reliable Defogger. Defog is the main function of this set and in tandem with Pressure, is able to reliably remove hazards throughout the game and pressure common hazard stackers such as Ferrothorn. Toxic allows Giratina to cripple switchins such as Ho-Oh while chipping away at offensive threats such as Swords Dance Primal Groudon, Yveltal, Mega Rayquaza, and Primal Kyogre. Will-O-Wisp allows Giratina to punish offensive Pokemon such as Necrozma-DM Yveltal, Ultra-Necrozma, Mega Rayquaza and Zacian-C who may attempt to aggressively switch in or setup while allowing Giratina to chip steel types Steel-types such as Ferrothorn. Rest provides Giratina with a reliable form of recovery while curing it of status ailments. However, Giratina is extremely passive when asleep and so Rest should be used accordingly. Roar is an option over Will-O-Wisp in order to rack up hazard damage and to fully prevent Giratina from being setup on, but is generally not recommended as it leaves Giratina completely unable to harm steel types common Steel-types like Ferrothorn. The given EV spread maximises physical bulk while ensuring Giratina avoids the 2HKO from Primal Kyogre's Ice Beam after Stealth Rock damage. A Relaxed nature and minimal speed IVs are recommended in order to use Defog after Primal Groudon and Necrozma-DM use Stealth Rock.

I’d mention here hazard-prone Pokemon like Yveltal and Mega Rayquaza for they appreciate Giratina removing hazards for them to switch in more safely.

Owing to it's high bulk, good matchup vs common Stealth Rock users such as Primal Groudon, and Necrozma-DM, and its inability to be trapped, Giratina is a good defogger for fatter balance teams and stall teams to consider using -Its checking prowess should be highlighted as well; at least mention its ability to check Zacian-C, Dragon Dance Mega Rayquaza and Necrozma-DM, and Swords Dance Arceus forms-. Rest provides Giratina with a reliable form of recovery while curing it of status ailments inflicted by the likes of?. However, Giratina is extremely passive when asleep and so Rest should be used accordingly. -the passivity is usually not an issue for stall teams- Roar is an option over Will-O-Wisp in order to rack up hazard damage and to fully prevent Giratina from being setup on by Pokemon such as?, but is generally not recommended as it leaves Giratina completely unable to harm steel types -dont really think this is why its inferior to wisp, I think its because Roar is a short-term solution for setup sweepers whereas wisp is usually permanent-. I’ll AM check this too. You know the drill from Gothitelle: Add Remove Comment

Implemented some of this:
  • I disagree with it being outclassed as a defogger by Ho-Oh due to the reasons in the first sentence
  • It doesn't really "pressure" Ferrothorn as such but rather out PP stall it
  • Added mention of poisoning Yve, but not MRay as you'd rather wisp MRay ideally
  • Implemented most of the grammar/syntax corrections
  • I would change the mention of harming steel types with Wisp to Ferrothorn, but I think Guardsweeper's check of removing that part and rather mentioning Roar to only be a temporary check is more suitable
  • I think every pokemon appreciates hazard removal, but it should only really be mentioned in key situations where it's required for function
Thanks for the check!

A Relaxed nature and minimal speed IVs are recommended in order to use Defog after Primal Groudon and Necrozma-DM use Stealth Rock. this is incorrect, you need to drop a few speed IVs to be slower than Necrozma-Dusk-Mane (Tina hits 194 speed and ndm is 190)

Giratina is very passive, and so fits primarily on stall and fatter balance teams which can patch up its weakness to top tier threats and prevent it from being taken advantage of while resting. Implemented except:
  • "this is incorrect, you need to drop a few speed IVs to be slower than Necrozma-Dusk-Mane (Tina hits 194 speed and ndm is 190)" - if minspeed is opted for, I think it is optimal to run a full 0 IV speed spread rather than -spe 25 IVs as it speedties with base 90 PDon which may go for minspeed in order to try ensure the Rocks if they're sacrificing it to Toxic/etc.
  • "Ho-Oh, Primal Groudon, and Swords Dance Arceus Formes.", I think it gets repetitive if I mention PDon again as I already talked about Giratina's good matchup vs it before. Ho-Oh isn't really an offensive threat so Giratina isn't a check to it - it's a hard counter and so doesn't really fit here.
  • think you should swap ho-oh with pogre - I think it just reads/flows better as is right now
Thanks, Ready for GP.
