going back to school

My junior year of high school starts on Monday. I am cramming most of my summer assigments into this weekend so hopefully it won't start out too bad. I don't actually look forward to being at school; I only bear it because of my friends and going on debate trips, which can be pretty fun. 4 APs plus 3 honors classes probably won't be the worst workload ever, either, since I know people going into the same year that are taking 6 APs.

Senior of high school. Its going to be a fun year. I don't get why some kids dred going to school. In my eye's its really not that bad. Sure homework sucks but that's why you copy someone else's. The key is to have a good rotation like 4 or 5 kids per class that you know you can get homework from. So then the kids don't get upset that you are copying their homework every day. I realized last year that being too lazy to even copy homework is just stuipid. My average dropped a couple points in some of my classes because i just got to lazy to even copy my friends homework.

Being one of the youngest people in this thread, I'm going into grade 8, starting September 5. Part of me actually wants to go back to school, because of my complete change of perspective. Honestly, I have changed quite a bit since school let out late July. I have had some time to think, and it overall has made me a better person. Better in my eyes, at least.

Sure, I hate school. Absolutely hate it. The students are assholes. I dislike the teachers, and learn nothing from classes. But that's what makes life interesting.

Well you just sumed up how I feel about school, hopefully this year will be better.

heh

I'm not looking forward to be at school again, but I don't think it's the worst thing after working in a chicken factory for 4 weeks (will be 5) 38 hours a week. I realized I really have to put some effort in doing homework/etc if I don't want to end up doing that in the future.

Idk which class I'm atm in english terms but for dutch people I'm doing 5 VWO this year. If someone could tell me what that is in english terms then that would be great.

School starts August 28 for me.

I am really looking forward to school this year because school is just... fun! ^_^

I get to see all of my friends again and show them my new outfits and stuff. <333

I'm not particularly excited for school, but I'm not dreading it at all. I'll be taking 5 AP classes senior year and I'm really not planning on doing much work in them... I survived in cheating groups last year and I'm hoping to do so this year as well. Most of the hard stuff is over anyway.

Going into grade 10 with mostly honors classes (in retrospect, it should have been all honors classes instead) and I hope I'll be disciplined enough to not randomly bomb classes this year.

EDIT: oh shit I actually have Honors English and I didn't do the summer reading because I signed up for "college english" and school starts next wednsday.

Under normal circumstances I would be starting college tomorrow but I'm taking a gap year to travel, do humanitarian work and study some special interests.

More on that later, maybe.

Hmm, I don't really like school at all, so most of the time, I resent going back. However, there's a girl at school that I like, so I'm kinda looking forward to going back this year.

Gah, school. I am getting kinda bored, but school isn't really that better. I have Latin as an early morning course, and soccer after school, so I spend like 12 hours in school. And I've got a ton of stuff this junior year, AP tests and SATs and trying to get into the NHS and soccer and junk. At least it isn't a bad school, just really difficult.

Going to 11th Grade on Sept. 5th. Kinda looking forward to it as as summer winds down, it gets boring for me :x
You are given months of nothing to do. You can do anything you want. You are not limited by school, you don't need to think about grades or tests. There are unlimited possibilities of things you could do. How are you bored? You would rather be working than have the option to do anything you want? Do you prefer being stressed over relaxed? Do you enjoy being oppressed? Being told how to live your life?

People confuse me sometimes.

If you're 15 now, and you'll be 16 on the 13th of September...does that mean you'll graduate a year early?

On that note, my Junior year starts on the 4th. When all my freedom is took away by summer school, it's no fun, imo. At least I have two weeks left.

edit: 1400 posts haha. Do work, son.

I'm guessing you've forgotten what it's like to be stuck at home with your parents, having to work a shitty part time job if you want to get to see your friends. Maybe you never knew what that was like anyway but I can tell you it's pretty fucking boring (more so than school)

I don't know about the english terms, but I am in the 11th grade now, school has started 2 weeks ago, here. Last year, like Tmnt Boy, i didn't even bother to copy my friends homework, I was really lazy and stuff, now I changed my school and everything is way stricter than it was before, I really have to start doing my homework more often now, i usualy start doing them at like 11 PM, that's not exactly great.

I live with my parents. Most of the people at my school are complete jerks, and I would never befriend them, meaning I do things by myself for the most part of summer. Am I bored to the point where I wish I was at school? Most certainly not.

I don't have a job, but that's because my parents pay the bills :U

I'm sorta excited for school. It's not that I enjoy it, but this summer was the worst summer of my live, I spent most of it being bored, so school's a distraction. I really need to work harder this year though.
Also I got rid of my glasses (I use contacts now) so it's going to be fun to see the old teachers and they be like 'HEY put your glasses on.'

(I'm going to 11th grade)

Going back to college will mean I have to step up my grades. That is the only thing I'm worried about. Also seeing a few faces I haven't over the summer will be nice. Oh, they have a bookstore which sells pens hopefully they have new ones so I can make pen mods for pen spinning. One day they will stock on Pentel Hybrid Gel Grip pens and I will be the first in line :nerd:
