[OVERVIEW]

Golisopod has cemented itself as one of the best revenge killers in RU thanks to its access to a powerful STAB-boosted priority First Impression, which can easily pick off weakened threats such as Virizion, Barbaracle, and Metagross. It also has Aqua Jet to revenge kill Pokemon that resist First Impression, such as Salazzle, Arcanine, Rhyperior, and Nidoqueen. Golisopod's high Attack can also make it a threatening wallbreaker that can force switches, which can allow it to set up Spikes to add more offensive pressure against the opposing team and make it nearly impossible to switch directly into it. Golisopod can also defensively check Pokemon such as Metagross, Zygarde-10%, and Bewear thanks to its solid bulk and typing. While these attributes are amazing, Golisopod is very easily worn down by Stealth Rock and status conditions. While its ability Emergency Exit can sometimes be useful, it adds to Golisopod's problem of being worn down by entry hazards easily, especially if it is holding a Sitrus Berry. Since First Impression only works on the first turn Golisopod is in battle, it can be forced out by faster Pokemon like Noivern, Gardevoir, and Raikou after it has used the move. Its low speed not only forces Golisopod out against super effective attacks but also can make Golisopod fail to move before Extreme Speed, especially from users like Zygarde-10% and Arcanine. Golisopod can also have trouble breaking some Pokemon like Milotic, Mantine, and Toxicroak.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

First Impression is Golisopod's best move, allowing it to revenge kill faster Pokemon like Gardevoir, Virizion, and Roserade thanks to STAB and its high power. Liquidation has wide coverage and can severely dent Pokemon that resist First Impression such as Registeel, Donphan, Diancie, and Rhyperior. Leech Life is a good secondary Bug STAB move that also gives Golisopod an option to heal itself and threaten bulky Pokemon like Cresselia, Slowbro, and Tangela after it uses First Impression. Spikes can provide further offensive pressure for its team. Although weaker, Aqua Jet is another priority move that can pick off Pokemon like Salazzle.

Set Details
========

The given EV spread with an Adamant nature makes Golisopod as powerful and as bulky as it can be while still outpacing uninvested base 50 Speed Pokemon like Registeel and Diancie. Sitrus Berry is the preferred item, since it gives Golisopod a chance to heal itself so it isn't forced out by Emergency Exit as quickly. Insect Plate allows Golisopod to OHKO Zygarde-10%, as well as Honchkrow with First Impression after Stealth Rock damage.

Usage Tips
========

Golisopod is a revenge killer that can also function as a wallbreaker. Because of its Stealth Rock weakness and Emergency Exit, it is important to keep Golisopod as healthy as possible. This also means keeping it away from status conditions. To achieve this, make sure that entry hazards are cleared and know when to bring Golisopod into battle. It is best that Golisopod is brought in with the help of a pivot, after another teammate has fainted, or against Pokemon it resists the moves of such as Metagross, Donphan, and Zygarde-10%. However, if entry hazards are still up and the team's spinner has been taken out, it is best to limit Golisopod's use as a check to weakened faster offensive Pokemon, since it loses a quarter of its health every time it enters the battle from Stealth Rock alone. Once it is in battle, use First Impression or Aqua Jet to take out a weakened Pokemon. Golisopod forces switches thanks to its raw power, so use this opportunity to either go for a coverage move to catch a potential switch-in expecting First Impression off guard or begin setting up Spikes on switch-ins such as Noivern. Keep in mind that when running Sitrus Berry, Golisopod will still be forced out by Emergency Exit after it consumes its item.

Team Options
========

Golisopod fits on a myriad of teams thanks to its amazing revenge killing capabilities. Entry hazard removal is crucial when using Golisopod. Rapid Spin is preferred to avoid getting rid of Golisopod's own Spikes, so partners like Mega Blastoise, Donphan, and Forretress are valuable. Mega Blastoise can also take Scald for Golisopod and threaten Pokemon like Noivern, while Donphan can also help keep Raikou in check. Xatu is another Pokemon to consider, since it can beat every Steel-type Stealth Rock setter. Pivots like Noivern, Forretress, and Mega Ampharos can get Golisopod safely into the battle. Noivern can also provide Taunt support to dissuade Defog users from removing Golisopod's Spikes. Other offensive Pokemon such as Raikou, Arcanine, and Virizion appreciate Golisopod's Spikes, as they can make wallbreaking and cleaning much easier. Raikou can also help pressure Flying-types for Golisopod. Virizion and Raikou can also pressure defensive Water-types like Milotic and Mantine. Clerics and Healing Wish users like Wish Florges, Diancie, and Gardevoir can help keep Golisopod healthy. Steel-type teammates like Metagross, Registeel, and Bronzong are also good teammates to consider, since they can switch directly into Flying-type attacks for Golisopod and take Toxic for it. All of these Pokemon can also make a hazard stacking core with Golisopod, while it can pressure Fire-types such as Salazzle and Arcanine for them in return. Although it can come in against Fighting-types like Machamp and Bewear, Golisopod is still checked by these Pokemon, since it is threatened by their powerful moves and they resist First Impression. Teammates like Noivern, Necrozma, and Gardevoir can help keep these Pokemon in check. Other Pokemon that can threaten Toxicroak out, such as Ninetales, Arcanine, and Swellow, are also appreciated, since Toxicroak completely walls Golisopod.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Other moves like Rock Slide and Dual Chop can potentially work, since Golisopod lures in Pokemon that resist its STAB combination like Noivern, Mantine, and Dragalge. However, they have little use outside of hitting these targets. Drill Run is another move to consider, since it can stop Barbaracle and Toxicroak from setting up in front of Golisopod. Knock Off is a decent option to cripple some of Golisopod's defensive checks like Choice Scarf Noivern, Milotic, and Forretress. Choice Band can be utilized to boost Golisopod's Attack to absurd levels, but being locked into one move, especially if it's First Impression, can make Golisopod more exploitable by the foe and forces it out much more often.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Entry Hazards**: Golisopod is vulnerable to all entry hazards and loses a quarter of its health every time it comes into battle from Stealth Rock alone. Emergency Exit doesn't help with this weakness, as Golisopod is forced out of battle and is chipped further if hazards are still on the field.

**Status Conditions**: Golisopod dislikes being afflicted with status conditions, as Toxic poison and burns limit its time in battle and force it to lose offensive momentum. Although it can soft check Water-types, bulky Water-types such as Milotic, Mantine, and Slowbro can survive First Impression and threaten Golisopod with a potential Scald burn. Dragalge, in particular, is not threatened by any of Golisopod's moves and can begin setting Toxic Spikes in front of it.

**Faster Threats**: After it has used First Impression, Golisopod falls prey to faster Pokemon such as Toxicroak, Mega Sceptile, and Goodra. Toxicroak can come in against Golisopod and begin setting up with Swords Dance. Mega Sceptile can also use Protect against Golisopod's First Impression and threaten it out with Leaf Storm. Other setup sweepers like Bewear can take advantage of Golisopod after it has used First Impression and begin setting up.

**Flying-types**: Pokemon such as Noivern, Swellow, and Honchkrow can force Golisopod out of battle after it has used First Impression with their super effective STAB moves. Noivern, in particular, completely walls Golisopod's STAB attacks and threatens it out with Hurricane or Taunt. However, Honchkrow does not want to stay in against Insect Plate Golisopod, as First Impression will OHKO it after Stealth Rock damage.

**Electric-types**: Electric-types such as Raikou, Mega Ampharos, and Galvantula also threaten Golisopod out of battle with their powerful STAB attacks. Mega Ampharos, in particular, can take one First Impression and retaliate with Thunderbolt. However, Raikou and Galvantula do not want to stay in or come in against any of Golisopod's moves, especially First Impression.

**Super Effective Coverage**: Many Pokemon such as Virizion and Machamp can potentially thwart Golisopod by running coverage moves like Stone Edge or Rock Slide that deal super effective damage to it.

[OVERVIEW]

  • Golisopod has cemented itself as one of the best revenge killers in RarelyUsed, if not, the best.
  • This is thanks to it's access to a powerful STAB-boosted First Impression that allows it to have the same priority as Extreme Speed (Might be worth just sayin +2 priority as it outspeeds nothing in the tier that uses espeed anyway), which can easily pick off weakened threats such as Virizion, Gardevoir, and Mega Sceptile. It also has Aqua Jet to revenge kill Pokemon that resist First Impression, such as Arcanine, Ninetales, and Lycanroc-D.

  • Sitrus Berry is the preferred item since it gives Golisopod a chance to heal itself while Insect Plate can boost the power of its STAB-moves without recoil or being locked into a move. (mention that insect plate helps you to OHKO Zygarde-10% and has a chance to OHKO Honch. I'm sure there is more too as you are giving up power that actually can matter)
Usage Tips
========
  • Golisopod is a wallbreaker that also functions as a revenge killer thanks to First Impression.

It is best that Golisopod is brought in either with the help of a pivot, after another teammate has fainted, or it can come in against Pokemon it resists such as Metagross, Donphan, and Mega Blastoise.(Rather than keep it healthy and keeping hazards clear before using, its probably just more important to rarely use it as a check when Stealth Rocks are up, rather just a revenge killer)
  • Once it is in battle, use First Impression or Aqua Jet to take out a weakened Pokemon.
  • Golisopod forces switches thanks to its raw power, so use this opportunity to either go for Liquidation to catch a potential switch in expecting First Impression off guard, or begin setting up Spikes.
  • While First Impression is a great tool to revenge kill weakened foes, be aware of when to use it since Golisopod can invite offensive Pokemon like Linoone, Barbaracle, and Raikou after it uses First Impression, since it gives them a free opportunity to set up.
  • (idk if it should be mentioned here but as berry is its first slash might as well mention that even if the berry activates coming in on hazards you still activate the ability ee)
Team Options
========
  • Golisopod fits on many teams thanks to its amazing revenge killing capabilities.
  • Entry hazard removal is crucial when using Golisopod. Rapid Spinners are preferred so that they don't get rid of Golisopod's own Spikes, so partners like Mega Blastoise, Donphan, and Forretress are good examples of partners for Golisopod. Mega Blastoise can also take Scald for Holisopod and threaten Pokemon like Noivern, while Donphan can also help keep Raikou in check.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Other moves like Rock Slide and Drill Run can potentially work since Golisopod lures in Pokemon that resist its STAB combination like Noivern, Toxicroak, Barbaracle, and Dragalge. However, they lose their surprise factor quickly and have little use outside of these targets. (Drill run doesn't necessarily need a suprise factor as rather than being a lure it stops Barb and Toxicroak from setting up in its face)
  • Choice Band can be utilized to boost Golisopod's Attack to absurd levels but being locked into one move, especially if it's First Impression, can make Golisopod more exploitable by the foe and forces it out much more often.
  • A physically defensive set with Iapapa Berry can be used to check Pokemon like Zygarde-10%, Donphan, and Machamp much easier and it gives Golisopod an easier time setting up Spikes. However, the loss of power is noticeable and Golisopod lacks good traits to be a defensive Pokemon such as a lack of reliable recovery and a Stealth Rock weakness.
  • (I would personally give sucker punch a mention as well, it allows goli to take on Gard, roserade, Metagross etc even after first impression is used)
Checks and Counters
===================

**Residual Damage**: Golisopod is weak to Stealth Rock, so it loses a quarter of its health every time it comes into battle. It is also worn down by Toxic poison and burns from Scald or Will-O-Wisp. Emergency Exit doesn't help with this weakness, as it is forced out of battle and is chipped further if hazards are still on the field. (I would mention hazards as a section on its own as its much less avoidable than Scald/Will-o)

**Defensive Pokemon**: Bulky Pokemon such as Milotic, Dragalge, and Mega Ampharos can all take a hit from Golisopod and retaliate with Toxic, Scald, setting thier own entry hazards, or thier own powerful STABs. (this pretty much covers the rest of the residual damage)

**Faster Threats**: After it has used First Impression, Golisopod falls prey to faster Pokemon such as Raikou, Noivern, and Goodra. Noivern in particular completely walls Golisopod's STABs and threatens it out with Hurricane or Taunt. Toxicroak can also come in against Golisopod and begin setting up with Swords Dance. AMCheck!
Thanks, my man! Did my best to implement everything.

HeyYo,
here are some suggestions from me about your Golisopod Revamp. It's not much but I hope I can help you with that - Also, I hope it's okay for me to post this

[OVERVIEW]

  • Golisopod has cemented itself as one of the best revenge killers in RarelyUsed, if not, the best.
  • This is thanks to it's access to a powerful STAB-boosted First Impression that allows it to have +2 priority, which can easily pick off weakened threats such as Virizion, Gardevoir, and Mega Sceptile. It also has Aqua Jet to revenge kill Pokemon that resist First Impression, such as Arcanine, Ninetales, and Lycanroc-D. Lycanroc-D dosen't resist First Impression and it does more damage than Aqua Jet - with Insect Plate First Impression is a guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock damage. It also "bypass" Sucker Punch/Accelerock from Lycanroc-D. Maybe Nidoqueen is a better example of a Aqua Jet target. In my opinion Ninetales is not a good example of a Aqua Jet target, because in the sun Aqua Jet is weaker than First Impression.
  • Golisopod's high Attack can also make it a threatening wallbreaker that can force switches, which can allow it to set up Spikes to add more offensive pressure against the foe's team and making it nearly impossible to switch directly into it.
  • Golisopod can also defensively check Pokemon such as Metagross, Machamp, Zygarde-10%, and Mega Blastoise thanks to it's solid bulk and typing.
  • While these attributes are amazing, Golisopod is very easily worn down by Stealth Rock and status conditions.
  • Emergency Exit is both a blessing and a curse; while it sometimes can be useful, it adds to Golisopod's problem of being worn down by entry hazards easily.
  • First Impression can also be easily exploited by switching into a Pikemon that resists the move like Registeel, Diancie, or Bewear, or with Protect. This is especially true since the move only works on the first turn Golisopod is in battle and after that, it can be forced out by faster Pokemon like Noivern, Gardevoir, and Lycanroc-D.
  • Its low speed not only forces Golisopod out against super effective attacks, but it also can fail to beat Extreme Speed users like Linoone.
  • Golisopod can also have trouble breaking some defensive Pokemon like Milotic and Dragalge.
  • Despite these downsides, Golisopod is still an excellent Pokemon in RarelyUsed and it should never be underestimated.

Moves
========
  • First Impression is Golisopod's best move, allowing it to revenge kill faster Pokempn like Mega Sceptile, Virizion, and Roserade thanksvto STAB and it's high power.
  • Liquidation has wide coverage and can severely dent Pokemon that resist First Impression such as Registeel, Diancie, and Rhyperior.
  • Leech Life gives Golisopod an option to heal itself. Maybe you can also say that Leech Life is a good second Bug STAB. For example bulky psychic- and grass-types such as Cresse, Slowbro, and Tangela can not wall Golisopod after it uses First Impression.
  • Spikes can provide further offensive pressure for its team.
  • Although weaker, Aqua Jet is another priority move that can pick off Pokemon like Salazzle.
  • Knock Off is a decent option to cripple some of Golisopod's defensive checks like Choice Scarf Noivern, Milotic, and Dragalge.
Set Details
========
  • The given EV spread with an Adamant Nature make Golisopod as powerful and as bulky as it can be while still outpacing uninvested Base 50 Pokemon like Registeel or Diancie.
  • Sitrus Berry is the preferred item since it gives Golisopod a chance to heal itself while Insect Plate allows Golisopod to OHKO Zygarde-10%, as well as Honchkrow after Stealth Rock damage.
Usage Tips
========
  • Golisopod is a wallbreaker that also functions as a revenge killer thanks to First Impression. Maybe swap wallbreaker and revenge killer (Golisopod is a revenge killer thanks to First Imression that also functions as a wallbreaker), because in the overview you describe it first as a revenger and then as a wallbreaker.
  • Because of its Stealth Rock weakness and Emergency Exit, it is important to keep Golisopod as healthy as possible. This also means keeping it away from status conditions.
  • To achieve this, make sure that entry hazards are cleared and know when to bring Golisopod into battle. It is best that Golisopod is brought in either with the help of a pivot, after another teammate has fainted, or it can come in against Pokemon it resists such as Metagross, Donphan, and Mega Blastoise.
  • However, if entry hazards are still up and the team's Rapid Spinner has been taken out, then it is best to limit Golisopod's use as a check to weakened faster offensive Pokemon since it loses a quarter of its health every time it enters the battle.
  • Also keep in mind that when running Sitrus Berry, it will still be forced out by Emergency Exit after it consumes its item.
Team Options
========
  • Pivots like Noivern, Forretress, and Mega Ampharos can get Golisopod safely into the battle. Noivern can also provide Taunt support to dissuade Defog users from removing Golisopod's Spikes.
  • Other offensive Pokemon such as Raikou, Arcanine, and Virizion appreciate Golisopod's Spikes, as they can make wall breaking and cleaning much easier. Raikou can also help pressure Flying-types for Golisopod. Maybe mention that Raikou and Virizion can also help pressure bulky Water-types such as Milotic, and Mantine.
  • Clerics and Healing Wish users like Florges and Gardevoir can help keep Golisopod healthy.
  • Steel-type teammates like Metagross, Registeel, and Bronzong are also good teammates to consider, since they can switch directly into Flying-type attacks for Golisopod and can also take Toxic for Golisopod. All of these Pokemon can also make a hazard stacking core with Golisopod.
  • Although it can come in against Fighting-types like Machamp and Bewear, Golisopod is still checked by these Pokemon since it is threatened by their other powerful moves and Fighting-types resist First Impression. Teammates like Noivern, Necrozma, and Gardevoir can help keep these Pokemon in check. Other Pokemon that can threaten Toxicroak out such as Ninetales, Arcanine, and Swellow are also appreciated since Toxicroak completely walls Golisopod.
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Other moves like Rock Slide and Drill Run can potentially work since Golisopod lures in Pokemon that resist its STAB combination like Noivern, Toxicroak, Barbaracle, and Dragalge. Barbaracle dosen't resist Golisopods STAB combination. Maybe add Mantine as a Rock Slide target Drill Run, in particular, can stop Barbaracle and Toxicroak from setting up in front of Golisopod. However, they have little use outside of these targets.
  • Golisopod can also use Sucker Punch to threaten Pokemon such as Metagross, Roserade, and Gardevoir after it uses First Impression.
Checks and Counters
===================

**Entry Hazards**: Golisopod is vulnerable to all entry hazards, so it loses a quarter of its health every time it comes into battle from Stealth Rock alone. Emergency Exit doesn't help with this weakness, as it is forced out of battle and is chipped further if hazards are still on the field.

**Status Conditions**: Golisopod also dislikes being afflicted with status conditions, as Toxic poison and burns limit its time in battle and force it to lose offensive momentum. Although it can soft-check Water-types, bulky Water-types such as Milotic, Mantine, and Slowbro can survive First Impression and threaten Golisopod with a potential Scald burn. Dragalge, in particular, is not threatened by any of Golisopod's moves and can begin setting its own Toxic Spikes in front of it.

Other setup sweepers like Linoone, Barbaracle, and Bewear can take advantage of Golisopod after it has used First Impression and begin setting up. Unlike Linoone, and Barbaracle, Bewear has nothing to fear from First Impression or Golisopod in general. Mega Sceptile can also use Protect against Golisopod's First Impression and can threaten it out with Leaf Storm.

[OVERVIEW]

  • Golisopod has cemented itself as one of the best revenge killers in RarelyUsed, if not, the best.
  • This is thanks to it's access to a powerful STAB-boosted First Impression that allows it to have +2 priority, which can easily pick off weakened threats such as Virizion, Gardevoir, and Mega Sceptile (Mega Scep normally runs protect and 252+ Atk Insect Plate Golisopod First Impression vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Gardevoir: 267-315 (96.3 - 113.7%) -- 75% chance to OHKO so both arent really a good example, talk about barbaracle and metagross). It also has Aqua Jet to revenge kill Pokemon that resist First Impression, such as Arcanine, Rhyperior, and Nidoqueen. add salazzle since its prob the main target

  • First Impression can also be easily exploited by switching into a Pokemon that resists the move like Registeel, Diancie, or Bewear, or with Protect. This is especially true since the move only works on the first turn Golisopod is in battle and after that, it can be forced out by faster Pokemon like Noivern, Gardevoir, and Lycanroc-D.
  • Its low speed not only forces Golisopod out against super effective attacks, but it also can fail to beat Extreme Speed users like Zygarde-10% and Arcanine.
  • Golisopod can also have trouble breaking some defensive Pokemon like Milotic and Dragalge. (dragalge can get bopped by drill run, mention forretress instead)

Moves
========
  • First Impression is Golisopod's best move, allowing it to revenge kill faster Pokempn (fix the typo) like Mega Sceptile (normally runs protect, mention gardevoir here), Virizion, and Roserade thanks to STAB and it's high power.
  • Although weaker, Aqua Jet is another priority move that can pick off Pokemon like Salazzle.
  • Leech Life is a good scondary Bug-STAB that also gives Golisopod an option to heal itself and gives it an option to threaten bulky Pokemon like Cresselia, Slowbro, and Tangela after it uses First Impression.
  • Spikes can provide further offensive pressure for its team.
  • Liquidation has wide coverage and can severely dent Pokemon that resist First Impression such as Registeel, Diancie, and Rhyperior.
  • Knock Off is a decent option to cripple some of Golisopod's defensive checks like Choice Scarf Noivern, Milotic, and Dragalge. (i would move this to oo)
  • Drill Run is another move to consider, since it can stop Barbaracle and Toxicroak from setting up in front of Golisopod.
Set Details
========
Usage Tips

  • Golisopod is a revenge killer that can also function as a wallbreaker.
  • Because of its Stealth Rock weakness and Emergency Exit, it is important to keep Golisopod as healthy as possible. This also means keeping it away from status conditions.

Rapid Spinners are preferred so that they don't get rid of Golisopod's own Spikes, so partners like Mega Blastoise, Donphan, and Forretress are good examples of partners for Golisopod. Mega Blastoise can also take Scald for Golisopod and threaten Pokemon like Noivern, while Donphan can also help keep Raikou in check. Xatu is another Pokemon to consider since it can beat every Steel-type Stealth Rock setter. Pivots like Noivern, Forretress, and Mega Ampharos can get Golisopod safely into the battle. Noivern can also provide Taunt support to dissuade Defog users from removing Golisopod's Spikes. Other offensive Pokemon such as Raikou, Arcanine, and Virizion appreciate Golisopod's Spikes, as they can make wall breaking and cleaning much easier. Raikou can also help pressure Flying-types for Golisopod. Virizion and Raikou can also pressure defensive Water-types like Milotic and Mantine for Golisopod. Clerics and Healing Wish users like Wish Florges, Diancie, and Gardevoir can help keep Golisopod healthy. Steel-type teammates like Metagross, Registeel, and Bronzong are also good teammates to consider, (remove comma) since they can switch directly into Flying-type attacks for Golisopod and can also take Toxic for Golisopod. All of these Pokemon can also make a hazard stacking core with Golisopod, while it in return can pressure Fire-types such as Salazzle and Arcanine for them. Although it can come in against Fighting-types like Machamp and Bewear, Golisopod is still checked by these Pokemon since it is threatened by their other powerful moves and Fighting-types resist First Impression. Teammates like Noivern, Necrozma, and Gardevoir can help keep these Pokemon in check. Other Pokemon that can threaten Toxicroak out, (add comma) such as Ninetales, Arcanine, and Swellow, (add comma) are also appreciated since Toxicroak completely walls Golisopod.

Other moves like Rock Slide and Dual Chop can potentially work since Golisopod lures in Pokemon that resist its STAB combination like Noivern, Mantine, and Dragalge. However, they have little use outside of these targets. Drill Run is another move to consider, (remove comma) since it can stop Barbaracle and Toxicroak from setting up in front of Golisopod. Knock Off is a decent option to cripple some of Golisopod's defensive checks like Choice Scarf Noivern, Milotic, and Forretress. Choice Band can be utilized to boost Golisopod's Attack to absurd levels, (add comma) but being locked into one move, especially if it's First Impression, can make Golisopod more exploitable by the foe and forces it out much more often.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Faster Threats**: After it has used First Impression, Golisopod falls prey to faster Pokemon such as Toxicroak, Mega Sceptile, and Goodra. Toxicroak can come in against Golisopod and begin setting up with Swords Dance. Mega Sceptile can also use Protect against Golisopod's First Impression and can threaten it out with Leaf Storm.
Noivern, in particular, completely walls Golisopod's STABs STAB attacks and threatens it out with Hurricane or Taunt. However, Honchkrow does not want to stay in against Insect Plate Golisopod as First Impression will OHKO it after Stealth Rock damage.
**Electric-types**: Electric-types such as Raikou, Mega Ampharos, and Galvantula also threaten Golisopod out of battle with their powerful STABs. STAB attacks. Mega Ampharos, in particular, can take one First Impression and retaliate with Thunderbolt. Raikou and Galvantula do not want to stay in or come in against First Impression or any of Golisopod's moves, any of Golisopod's moves, especially first impression, (The original seems a bit redundant, so I changed it as such to make it less so) however.
**Super-Effective Coverage**: Many Pokemon such as Virizion and Machamp can potentially thwart Golisopod by running coverage moves that deal super effective damage against it.

This is RU thanks to its access to a powerful STAB-boosted First Impression,(AC) which has that allows it to have +2 priority,(RC) which and can easily pick off weakened threats such as Virizion, Barbaracle, and Metagross. Golisopod's high Attack can also make it a threatening wallbreaker that can force switches, which can allow it to set up Spikes to add more offensive pressure against the foe's opposing team and making make it nearly impossible to switch directly into it. Golisopod can also defensively check Pokemon such as Metagross, Zygarde-10%, and Bewear thanks to its solid bulk and typing. While these attributes are amazing, Golisopod is very easily worn down by Stealth Rock and status conditions. Emergency Exit is both a blessing and a curse: while it While its ability Emergency Exit can sometimes can be useful, it adds to Golisopod's problem of being worn down by entry hazards easily, especially if it is holding a Sitrus Berry. Since First Impression only works on the first turn Golisopod is in battle, it can be forced out by faster Pokemon like Noivern, Gardevoir, and Raikou after it has used the move. Its low speed not only forces Golisopod out against super effective attacks,(RC) but it also can make Golisopod fail to beat other +2 priority in its bracket moves such as Extreme Speed, especially from users like Zygarde-10% and Arcanine. Golisopod can also have trouble breaking some Pokemon like Milotic, Mantine, and Toxicroak.

Leech Life is a good secondary Bug-(RH)STAB move that also gives Golisopod an option to heal itself and gives it an option to threaten bulky Pokemon like Cresselia, Slowbro, and Tangela after it uses First Impression. Spikes can provide further offensive pressure for its team. Although weaker, Aqua Jet is another priority move that can pick off Pokemon like Salazzle.

Set Details

The given EV spread with an Adamant nature makes Golisopod as powerful and as bulky as it can be while still outpacing uninvested base 50 Speed Pokemon like Registeel or and Diancie. Sitrus Berry is the preferred item,(AC) since it gives Golisopod a chance to heal itself and so it isn't forced out by Emergency Exit as quickly. Insect Plate allows Golisopod to OHKO Zygarde-10%, as well as Honchkrow with First Impression after Stealth Rock damage.

Usage Tips

Golisopod is a revenge killer that can also function as a wallbreaker. Because of its Stealth Rock weakness and Emergency Exit, it is important to keep Golisopod as healthy as possible. This also means keeping it away from status conditions. To achieve this, make sure that entry hazards are cleared and know when to bring Golisopod into battle. It is best that Golisopod is brought in either with the help of a pivot, after another teammate has fainted, or against Pokemon it resists the moves of such as Metagross, Donphan, and Zygarde-10%. However, if entry hazards are still up and the team's Rapid spinner has been taken out, then it is best to limit Golisopod's use as a check to weakened faster offensive Pokemon,(AC) since it loses a quarter of its health every time it enters the battle from Stealth Rock alone. Once it is in battle, use First Impression or Aqua Jet to take out a weakened Pokemon. Golisopod forces switches thanks to its raw power, so use this opportunity to either go for a coverage move to catch a potential switch-in expecting First Impression off guard,(RC) or begin setting up Spikes on switch-ins such as Noivern. Keep in mind that when running Sitrus Berry, it Golisopod will still be forced out by Emergency Exit after it consumes its item.

GP 2/2

Moves
========

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

========

=============

===================
