Grubbin is completely outclassed by a multitude of attackers. Its medicore offensive stats, limited movepool, and awful typing leave it unable to seriously threaten opponents. Grubbin should not be used on any competitive team as a result.

name: All-out Attacker
move 1: X-Scissor
move 2: Crunch
move 3: Poison Jab
move 4: Volt Switch
item: Life Orb
ability: Swarm
nature: Adamant
evs: 60 HP / 180 Atk / 228 Spe

This set attempts to act as an all-out attacker. However, Grubbin is too weak and slow to threaten many Pokemon such as Mienfoo and Onix and is not worth using.

Give examples of what Grubbin is outclassed by and therefore should be used instead of Grubbin - that's part of the point of the pseudo analyses.

Look, Grubbin is absolutely terrible but you can't just slap a Life Orb on it and call it a day. I spent way too long trying to get this thing functional, and found that a somewhat more supportive set with Electroweb was moderately more helpful for the team in general.

name: Electroweb Pivot
move 1: Electroweb
move 2: Volt Switch
move 3: X-Scissor
move 4: Crunch
item: Eviolite
ability: Swarm
nature: Impish
evs: 60 HP / 20 Atk / 156 Def / 76 SpD / 148 Spe

Set attempts to support its team by acting as a bulky pivot which also slows faster mons to either let Grubbin get some last chip before the rest of the team takes advantage of the slower mon or can let Grubbin get the KO. It's a terrible and weak Pokemon however who should definitely not be used.

add yourself, only two QC and one GP but make sure to keep them ending in double brackets ]]

i definitely think bj+acro has some merit. allowing it to switch into and 2hko every fighter is a pretty cool feat which makes it a slightly less worse mon. also it hits pump which is a decently relevant crunch target. theres not much crunch hits that could switch into grubbin otherwise in the first place either. i havent run evio calcs but its an option that could be slashed even if it has important calcs cause fighters could just knock evio anyways. bj just makes it easier to power it up.
