In-game just rules it as a tie too. It seems like the tour ruleset says to just discard the results of that game and play another if it's a draw, but I don't know whether or not it's actually being considered a draw for this tour since the sim says otherwise.

Self-KO Clause only works in smogon tour, in the rest of the tournaments a tie is a tie and it has to be a rematch.

Cool, thanks for replying! It might be good to highlight that in the OP, since I don't think ties are as possible in later gens and the simulator seems to say something completely different.
