What Towelie said, Sub Roar is meant to be a defensive set, why would you use so much speed when you are paralyzing everything anyways. Also 252 Attack is insane, you dont need that much attack since your main form of damage is going to be Roar. If anything I think you should change them to more defense, look to save enough Attack to 3HKO Rotom with Stealth Rock or something.
The only thing I could see you'd want to use speed for would be beating 4Spe Suicune's Roar, and ideally either you'd have it Paralyzed or it would be Sleep Talking anyway.
You could also run Adamant 240HP/16Atk/252Def for a couple more stat points overall, but it's not terribly different from what you've got (+6/+13/-14) and I'm not sure it would actually be a positive change.

With the aid of Thunder Wave it could use Headbutt for para-flinch, and water-normal gets really nice neutral coverage.
This set on gyarados is so effective and unexpected. You should definetly go with Stone edge over Bounce with Gyarados. The only problem with that is countering celebi, but twave on gyarados cripples many pokemon, while being a team player and sweeper.
Waterfall already gets flinch hax.
@ Blaze Murder, I think I will list that first, however, note that bounce has 30% to paralyze ground types. (And Jolteon/Electavire)
wait isnt this the same thing as bulky gyarados + t wave? Why don't you just put a slash on the bulky gyara set for thunder wave. Taunt is better anyway because its not wise to just DD at will. You can use water fall to attack the switch in, Or taunt. Plus you get a great stall breaker with taunt.

That was a very intense battle which Gyarados won me.
As you can see, bounce is a very good option. The first log really shows off thunderwave abuse, also showing how well Sub-Wave Jirachi works with it. (along with machamp for para-fusion.)

That was a very intense battle which Gyarados won me.
As you can see, bounce is a very good option. The first log really shows off thunderwave abuse, also showing how well Sub-Wave Jirachi works with it. (along with machamp for para-fusion.)
But this doesn't play differently from the bulky set. Once the gig is up it will be easy for the first thing you paralysed to come back in safely .Trust me ive used the bulky gyara set with twave instead of taunt for months on end and when i switched to taunt i won alot more battles expecially against stall which is very dominant at the moment.Twave lets you catch gyara counter who most of the time dont mind paralysis .A slash with taunt is good. The ev's in the opening post are not really doing more than the bulky set.
Really? Taunt takes out things like Skarmary, stops other Gyara from DDing, stuff like that. However, it doesn't do anything to Celebi, Magnazone, etc.
Thunderwave, however, along with waterfall gives you great chance at hax being activated and the opponent not hitting, allowing it to sometimes beat the likes of Magnazone and Bulky Rotom, Thunder wave completely ruins scarf Rotom, if you hit a celebi with Thunder wave you can then bounce before it attack, forcing a switch, etc. This really doesn't play the same way.
Yes well, sometimes that happens. I was showing off the fact it can do well even without hax.
