Hattrem is the tier's premier entry hazard deterrent due to its ability in Magic Bounce and Eviolite-boosted defenses, letting it pivot into entry hazard setters such as Mareanie, Roselia, and Stunfisk. Nuzzle makes offensive Pokemon that can eat a hit from Hattrem such as Galarian Rapidash and Unfezant think twice about switching in, since paralysis cripples them from effectively threatening a team. Healing Wish allows Hattrem to give powerful sweepers or wallbreakers such as Lilligant and Marowak a second opportunity to sweep or break an opponent's team. Lastly, Calm Mind assists Hattrem in breaking bulkier foes such as specially defensive Throh, specially defensive Klinklang, and Rest Stunfisk. The given spread maximizes Hattrem's bulk while allowing it to outspeed uninvested base 50 Speed Pokemon such as Mawile and Lickilicky.

While Hattrem serves as a deterrent for entry hazards, it is not guaranteed to keep them off its side of the field. With this in mind, entry hazard removers such as Sandslash and Silvally-Rock form a core with Hattrem that keeps entry hazards from chipping the team. Strong physical attackers such as Raboot and Unfezant appreciate Hattrem providing Healing Wish support and switching into their checks such as Stunfisk and Mareanie, blocking their entry hazards. Slower wallbreakers such as Marowak and Throh also appreciate the Healing Wish support that Hattrem provides, and if Hattrem is running Nuzzle, they appreciate being able to outspeed many more Pokemon thanks to them being paralyzed. Wish passers such as Lickilicky, Wigglytuff, and Flareon pair nicely with Hattrem, since they keep it healthy and allow it to maintain its ability to aggressively pivot into entry hazard setters throughout the match. Wigglytuff and Lickilicky are also able to check Ghost-types such as Dusknoir and Gourgeist for Hattrem by blocking Poltergeist. Hattrem's reliance on its Eviolite to maintain bulk means that it appreciates having partners that can absorb Knock Off for it such as Throh and Appletun.

Hattrem is the tier's premier entry hazard deterrent due to its ability in Magic Bounce and Eviolite-boosted defenses, letting it pivot into entry hazard setters such as Mareanie, Roselia, and Sandslash minor thing since hat definitely does discourage Sandslash, but Stunfisk still feels like the better mention considering how much more hattrem annoys it compared to slash. Nuzzle allows Hattrem to annoy potential switch-ins such as Dusknoir, Rapidash-Galar, and Type: Null null and dusk are kinda besides the point, the big thing w/nuzzle is discouraging offensive mons from pivoting in for free, things like unfezant that dont love taking a psychic but could still come in fine if not for nuzzle. Calm Mind assists Hattrem in breaking bulkier opponents such as Specially Defensive Throh, Specially Defensive Klinklang, and Rest Stunfisk. Lastly, Healing Wish allows Hattrem to give powerful sweepers or breakers such as Lilligant and Marowak a second opportunity to sweep or break an opponent's team. The ev spread maximizes Hattrem's bulk while allowing it to outspeed uninvested base 50 speed Pokemon such as Mawile and Lickilicky.

Strong physical attackers such as Raboot and Unfezant appreciate Hattrem switching into their checks such as Stunfisk and Mareanie and blocking their entry hazards while Hattrem appreciates their ability to bring it in safely via U-Turn dont get this at all, hat does not need pivoting whatsoever to the point where including it as a mention is weird and random, like saying hat likes electric resists and for them to threaten specially bulky Pokemon it cannot threaten such as Type: Null and Flareon they also aren't great at threatening these mons? I would nuke this whole last bit tbch, mentioning the mons Hattrem supports defensively is good but these benefits they're supposed to give to hat aren't rly things. oh and both those mons love Healing Wish if hat's running it. Wish passers such as Lickilicky and Wigglytuff pair nicely with Hattrem, since they keep Hattrem healthy throughout the match and Hattrem maintains its ability to aggressively pivot into entry hazard setters throughout the match. Hattrem's reliance on its Eviolite to maintain bulk means that it appreciates having partners that can absorb Knock Off for it such as Throh and Appletun.
