[SET COMMENTS]
Hawlucha can sweep and clean up teams thanks to its ability to efficiently set up. It can easily activate Unburden via Close Combat and White Herb, allowing it to outspeed a good majority of the metagame, and Swords Dance bolsters it as a threat; additionally, Ditto cannot switch into Hawlucha to countersweep because it cannot copy the Speed boost from Unburden. Close Combat can OHKO and heavily dent defensive Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Corviknight after a boost and dissuades Pokemon such as Galarian Darmanitan, Rotom-W, and Rotom-H from trying to revenge kill Hawlucha. Brave Bird is a powerful move to use alongside Close Combat, striking Pokemon that are resistant or immune to Close Combat, such as Hatterene and Dragapult. Substitute gives Hawlucha a lot more safety on the field, giving it an easier time setting up, helping it avoid status, and providing it more leeway when it needs to attack a foe more than once to KO it. Roost gives Hawlucha a way to recover HP, which can be useful against Pokemon that cannot revenge kill it after it nets a KO. Fire Punch is an option if you would rather want Hawlucha to have more coverage, giving it a reliable way of hitting Aegislash; however, the move is only really useful in doing this specific task.
Hawlucha excels at cleaning up late-game, easily sweeping after the Pokemon that can give it trouble are gone or weakened. As such, Hawlucha thrives on hyper offense teams, capitalizing on the damage its teammates have already done. A suicide lead such as Excadrill works best on hyper offense teams with Hawlucha, granting it Stealth Rock support. Grimmsnarl would also be a great addition to provide dual screens support, easing Hawlucha's setup greatly. Teammates such as Gyarados, Togekiss, and Kommo-o that can also set up to sweep work great, as Hawlucha can potentially clean up after they've heavily damaged the opponent's team. Kommo-o in particular has great synergy with Hawlucha, as it can weaken or KO Pokemon like Aegislash, Toxapex, and various Fairy-types with its expansive movepool to give Hawlucha an easier time cleaning up. Fairy- and Psychic-types such as Clefable, Grimmsnarl, and Hatterene make setting up and sweeping challenging for Hawlucha, so Aegislash is a great teammate that can help cover for that. Hawlucha can also be used earlier as a potential Dynamax user, as its ability to boost its Attack and Speed with Max Knuckle and Max Airstream can easily get out of hand for the opponent.
