Haxorus

In other news, Haxorus is back in top 20 OU for the first time since its overhyped entrance into OU. Keep up the good work Haxy, as more of your sets are discovered, you may indeed see yourself at the zenith of OU, something that crappy LO Dragon Dance set used at the beginning could never do for you.

Mold Breaker must have saved its' ass a bit too, since it can fire off EQs on all forms of Rotom, or nullify life-saving abilities like Multiscale. Haxorus is pretty awesome, but its' crappy speed and extreme frailty sort of brings the hype down just a touch.

Can I have what you are smoking?

People aren't using it to out speed everything, they are using it to smash holes through everything.

322 is not slow, its not fantastic, and it doesn't reach that magic number 100. But its not like its a slowbro.

Also, It takes hits decently, not fantasticly, decently. Consideirng it only has one weakness, that leads to a lot of nuetral hits.

It's true, its not extremely fast or bulky, but don't think its over hyped either. (At least now that people are actually experimenting beyond just DD and three attacks)

You are never going to outspeed 100s, so just max your Attack out with Adamant.

Still, at least this guy isn't another bad case of Rampardos Syndrome. :/

When i first saw hax, i thought it was either this gen's pseudo legendary or this gen's rampardos, i was wrong on both counts. In my experience you dont even have to run Max SPEED on hax. Only set i run max speed on is scarf.

I've been trying out the double dance set and I sort of use it as if I use double dancing terrakion. The team has been doing ok. But I do miss the days when I was able to use something like a scarf chomp with it

Why not just use HAX with a scarf, along with a DDer such as scrafty, or salamence it works for me.

Pfft, I'm not smoking anything, and what i meant was Haxorus's speed is good, but it isn't ideal, since there are still a good deal of Pokemon that can out-speed it. It's also pretty frail, and it has no priority, so it's easily revenge killed after taking one or two Pokemon out with a STAB Outrage or whatever. It is a bit bulky, I guess, but it's still easily revenge killed with Mach Punch, Bullet Punch, or Ice Shard.

Oh yeah, agreed. Except for the "one or two with a stab outrage" part, if it takes half of skarm's health, what really wants to switch into that?

97 base Spe may not be high, but it's enough for both the SD and the DD set. Also, in my opinion, not being able to speed tie with base 100 Spe Pokemon is no longer important in gen V as almost none of those Pkm runs max Spe anymore. Things like Jirachi\Celebi now invest in bulk rather than speed usually.

Lolol. Don't underestimate Hax's 76/90 bulk.

+1 Mach Punch from Conkeldurr does a 42.9% - 50.3% to it. Technitop does slightly less damage. Infernape's damage output is just pure LOL. This is a 4/0 spread btw.

The only one that's relevant is Scizor and Bullet Punch, because it has the Steel typing to setup in the face of Outrage.(ofc, there is CB Outrage...) CB Bullet Punch can only 2HKO(60.2-70.7%). It can only revenge kill at most, and its still 50-50(Hax could get a 2-turn Outrage and run away, or a 3-turn Outrage and get killed)

For Ice Shard, I've only ever seen Mamoswine using it. Judging by the fact that its UU, you shouldn't worry about it popping up far too often.

have you ever seen a weavile? unless you DD'd or scarfed weavile doesn't even have to USE ice shard to kill you thanks to 125 spe

Weavile essentially exists only to counter Dragons, so is rather deadweight outside of a Dragon revenge killer IMO

and psychic scarer, and trapper, and swords dance cleaner, and anti lead.
Weavile can function as all those.

Weavile is too frail to take anything, with Scizor and fighting priority so omnipresent, it has no chance of sweeping. Its best STABs are Ice Punch and Night Slash, so it suffers from Electivire syndrome (although it doesn't have to rely on ****ing Meditate to raise attack). Other than dragons there really is no real niche for Weavile since Ttar outclasses it as a Pursuitrapper.
