The battle frontier doesn't look exactly like the platinum one based on the game screen shots. My guess is that they at least made the battle frontier a little bigger. They need to update the artwork though.
Frontier front of the place,
I have some more!
Work of teaching so that more
BP learn in falsetto!
Actually, Roark does use Stealth Rock.He could give you a Roost TM, but he doesn't necessarily have to use the move in battle. As I believe was stated before, Roark doesn't use Stealth Rock.

HGSS Frontier won't be like Plat Frontier, people. They just reused the artwork because they're lazy.

Edit: Hahaha google translator is great.
If they really were introducing a new Frontier, don't you think they would have had concept art before they even started programming it in?
Anyways, I have reason to believe that it IS the Platinum Frontier. If Heart Gold and Soul Silver keep the Battle Video system introduced in Platinum, then that means that it will be able to view Platinum videos, and Platinum will be able to view Heart Gold and Soul Silver videos. Because of this, they needed to use the same Frontier, to keep compatibility.
Regarding trainer sprites, Platinum would most likely always see Lucas/Dawn in battle videos, and Heart Gold and Soul Silver will always see Gold/Heart/Soul/whatever in battle videos, even those that came from Platinum.
Johto's frontier is west of Olivine City, whereas Sinnoh frontier is on a tropical island (which Olivine City is not) so how could they be the same place? They could replicate each facility from Sinnoh and add new Brains I guess. Edit: This is unless by west of Olivine City they mean you can't a ship west from Olivine City to Sinnoh frontier? IIRC, there are not any pictures of Olivine City + the frontier yet.
An Emerald-esque frontier would be nice though.
Um, you haven't seen this?

The first screenshot of that page is the beach west of Olivine, where the entrance to the Battle Tower was in Crystal. In the second screenshot, you actually see tropical trees like those in Platinum, and that's inside the Battle Frontier already.
The location isn't the same as the Frontier in Sinnoh, but it would probably have the same facilities AND brains as the one in Sinnoh. It would be, for all intents and purposes, as if you teleported to Sinnoh whenever you go to the Battle Frontier in these games. The map and NPCs inside could be different, but the purpose and location data would be the same as in Platinum.
The pic looks like 4 frontier brains and one battle tower.
Well, since this is a remake, i guess they could refer to old US G/S, but that seems unlikely...I hope it takes less time to be localized than platinum did. If it takes the same time expect it to be here sometime in march :(
a little late but people were saying falkner coulnd't use roost because it's too hard for chikorita starters, well, what about that onix you can get? Doesn't he get rock throw like lvl 8 or something?
And wy would roost be overpowered. There is no guarantee that it will be used. Wiona never aerial aced me in her match. so it isnt set in stone that he will abuse it like any intelligent human being.
By the time you reached Winona, you had some decent power behind you, for example your starter was probably nearing its final evolution, if it hadn't reached it already. And odds are your team had an Effort Ribbon's worth of random EVs. Whereas in the first gyms you're likely to not have starters evolved at all. And they wouldn't have too many EVs, so they'd be less likely to have random ones in useful stats. And wy would roost be overpowered. There is no guarantee that it will be used. Sure, your levels didn't get as high as others, but they didn't have to. I mean, when the final E4 Pokemon is only at Lv50, you really don't need to be that strong. And then the levels went down when you reachd Kanto. The big problem was the massive level gap between Blue's mid-50s team and Red's high-70s team and Lv81 Pikachu.I meant a reasonable way since its extreamly hard to have 6 decent level pokes in GS without use of a legendary.
