NOC Hope+1 Game Thread

because there is a person screaming scum, who i've been pointing out as scum since day 1, and who i think has irrevocably demonstrated that he has not been trying to figure out the game, who is RIGHT HERE TELLING YOU AGAIN THAT HE IS SCUM

and you're ignoring this message that he is sending you
This is your "blatant" scum tell: Duskfall says, " I am pretty sure Wawman is scum [if ap is]." Now he says "if you go, I don't know what to do next."

Nothing about that is "blatant." Duskfall is simply stating that given the state of the game, he's not sure what to do in terms of finding mafia. That's totally cool with me. There's nothing wrong with having a read day 1 and then going day 2, "well you know this game hasn't really picked up and now I'm not really sure what's going on." That's not blatant. At best, that's suspicious.

What's more suspect to me is you pushing so hard at pushing forwards on a vote that there's very little basis for. It makes me nervous when you want to act in this way to change the vote with reasoning that I find to be mediocre at best.

no there is something wrong with having a read one hour ago and then an hour later saying "well you know this game hasn't really picked up and now I'm not really sure what's going on"

the quote was from day 2. and he's kept that read. i know he's kept that read because that's what i was yelling about four pages prior

it is totally blatant when you have two (2) reads for the entiiiiirreeeeee day

you park a vote on one of them

you forget your reasoning for the other one

and then you forget the other one

I dunno I like that defense. It's real and not manufactured.

Is it that true? I mean...eh. You can definitely make an argument that's it not. But I agree with the spirit - dusk is trying and I see no reason to punish that on the basis of some vague "scumtell" that someone comes up with that usually isn't right and is just a means to tunnel onto someone.

I was asked to make a scum read to help save myself and I said I could not, which is true, no one else can make a strong one either so I am no different. My point is if you have 2 people you are equally neutral on then I would always vote off the lurker.

If you are not equally neutral this changes things, but as I have already said before the two people im most sure of being scum are sp and wawman, neither of which people are interested in lynching.

I therefore can't provide a prospect to lynch instead of myself, which is unfortunate and understand it will probably lead to my lynch.

I agree it's a suspicious look, but I don't see why we need to do something about it right now. You frantically trying to get the vote switched is way more suspicious than whatever behavior you perceive to be mafia-like.

it's not mediocre reasoning. i wouldn't be pushing so hard if it wasn't

i'm not tunnelling on dusk lmfao he is tunnelling on me, he has parked his vote on me at start of day and has kept it there with no effort to make conversation or analysis. today i have spent the day sparring with half the goddamn playerbase. i came back to dusk after he came back to the thread and we talked and it was clear to me that we are not of the same alignment

The case on Moody is that he's been AWOL this entire day, made random and nonsensical votes and in general has done little to participate. He's given us no reason why we should let him stick around.

I don't see why we need to potentially punish ourselves by voting off the people who are trying. Yes, their reads may be wrong! But they have been present and showed genuine interest in solving the game. CB falls into that category. Duskfall to some extent falls into that category.

Neutral towards CB as it stands, with a slight lean towards town. Though i understand a lot of the scum reads on him are based on him acting differently from another game. He did say from the start of day 1 he was going to try impact the game more so I don't see this as a great reason. Though I wasn't involved in previous games so I understand others can read better than me in this situation.

I do think he is backing up his reads well which gives me a bit of a town impression at least.
