Back in the olden days of Serebii, around the year 2008, there was one of the biggest threads alive there, ironically a thread about Competitive Battling.

I was one of the regular and top posters in that thread, and had mustered up 178 posts in the thread with threats like chores, school, homework, and the like clogging up my life. But I'm getting off track here.

Quite frequently, someone would be finishing up a post when I started typing, leading me to have another post to reply to. I would signify that I missed one with "Edit: Ninja'd" in some form or another. This happened a lot, to the point of being a running gag, as if I was "bait" for being "Ninja'd". At first, for some reason, everyone kept adding the Japanese honorific suffix "-chan" to it (Another joke at how sometimes I can be rather... effeminate, perhaps), so that stuck for a while, until no one could be bothered typing the full name, so they dropped the "-chan". Thus, the name Ninjabait was born.

Hooray for pointless backstory.

When shoddy first came out, my username was ALLAN HDEZ. I know it sounds very simple and in caps it looked very bad, I like "Legend", but it was already in use, but since my fave number is 7
legendary_07

This came back from when I was going to create a Rune Scape account. I tried a bunch of names and nothing would work. Then I cut myself (accidentally) about a day after and something in my mind just clicked. I knew then and there that my name had to include Blood in it. So then I decided to put Lord in front of it because I was playing a Real Time Strategy game at that time and I knew that King was kinda strange, so I picked Lord. And boom, Lord Blood was born.

Being that my favorite pokemon is Mudkip, the first part of my name is obvious.(fyi, I never knew of any crazy internet fads at the time, my first pokemon game was Sapphire and I picked and liked Mudkips ever since)
And the second part of my username is simply because I think random 2-digit #s are awesome. 72 was just one of the first to pop in my head and it sounded good to me.
Other options I considered were mudkip87 and mudkip74.

In the olden days, HxC used to mean HardCore. Or HardXCore. Or something to that effect.

Now, it's seen primarily in Egoraptor shorts (And still sounds pretty cool when you sound it out.)

(I mean the names themselves lol... if you don't know who they are don't bother.)

I chose Golden Steelix because I wanted a shiny Pokemon that wasn't Red Gyarados. I was orignally going to be Black Charizard but changed my mind while creating my account.

Suscribe today to my awesome game and upgrade to guardian for the one time low fee of 14.99$ because I'm definitely the real Artix.
[Basically, the guy creator admin thing of that game had this pimping hot name, so I stole it]

You were gonna be Empoleon_FTW heh? THEN WE'D BE BROTHERS!

I got mine when I was just thinking of a name... Desperately... Then i thought of my nickname "Lucas" and then thought 'now I have make it not so boring' and saw someone else with FTW at the end.

I thought... 'it's not stealing... but if it is it's all Rysta's fault!' and got...
*looks at username* "LucasFTW".

But now in other games i'm starting to use "DarkPaws".

I have a friend who, all throughout Freshman year of college, was notorious for drinking the absolute cheapest and worst kinds of alcohol he could find. Needless to say, he was academically suspended and never went back to that school. He did, however, visit the following year to tear it up for a weekend. To commemorate his visit, we went down to the local liquor store to find the single cheapest bottle of alcohol available for him to drink. What we found was something called Korski vodka. It was $2.70 for a 250 ml glass bottle (glass, meaning the alcohol was that much worse quality for the price), and it tasted how I imagine death by paint thinner to taste.

The bottle itself was hilarious. It had a Kremlin-esque backdrop with a man mushing sheepdogs or something in the foreground of a frigid landscape. A banner over the bottom read "Imperial Quality," all of which lay in between the Russian-styled "Korski Vodka" lettering on the front of the bottle. It was, without a doubt, the worst vodka possible, besting even his pedestrian palette. Somehow, the bottle was emptied, and I took on the persona of Admiral Korski, leader of the Russian Fleet for the night (it happens). The name stuck as a symbol of power and aggression, so I brought it over here.

Pretty easy. My first "pokemon-friend" (as in German) was some girl (!) called PurpleFlower (she's here as vio I think). She was pretty much the one I had the most contact to early on so when I made my smogon-account, I felt like parodying her name. I would have changed it to tucky by now but I guess people are too used to PW already (I should've gotten "famous" later lol).
