How DO you handle Chomp/Mamo?

Whether it be an SDChomp, or any other variant...how do you take care of him? It seems like every team out there is either Chomp or Mamo weak. When a "wall" takes 80% or more damage, what's left out there?

Starmie outspeeds none Scarf Garchomp and OHKOes with Ice Beam (unless it has Yache), it can survive any hit form Choice Scarf and OHKOes with Ice Beam (unless there are some Sp.Def EVs), or switch into Metagross (CB MM) while it outrages.
As for Mamoswine Weezing take care of pure physical ones, and Blissey can take a hit and send it to sleep.

I don't know how Vaporeon switches in with no problem at all against Mamoswine. Earthquakes that are Banded are going to 2HKO Vaporeon, I'd call that an un-reliable way to deal with a thread (best not say counter as the title is clearly deal with).

How do I deal with Garchomp and Mamoswine?

Let's say that my team is defensively based, I'd have it packed with Garchomp cover; Bronzong, Gliscor and Cressilia, with these 3 on the same team, for instance, I have the nescessary Pokemon to stop Garchomp effectively to halt it before it has chance to sweep. That's not always the case; I can't rely on Garchomp getting lucky, where as before I could effectively rely on the combination between the 3 Pokemon stated earlier to stop all Garchomp. If I'm confronted by an opposing landshark when using a team that's offensive but more vulnerable to my opponent's Pokemon, then I must use Pokemon that are faster to clear it away (un-reliable, yes, but it deals with it providing they're caught out).

Mamoswine is fairly easier to deal with than Garchomp, reason being it's moveset is alot easier to predict. I know for a fact he'll have Earthquake, and most likely Ice Shard. I just need one attack from him to know the set, item and speed. Them 3 are what I look for, and then I deal with him accordingly.

252 Speed Mamoswine, after a Curse, is still faster than no-speed Vaporeon. Vaporeon can't switch into Mamo safely, unless you know for sure he will use an Ice attack.

Bronzong is the best solution for both Chomp and Mamo. It can switch on an Outrage, although HP ice will only 2HKO. Mamo can't touch this.

My Shuckle screws those assholes over with extreme ease. The modest SpecsShay on my team OHKOs both with its insanely powered Seed Flare.

Bronzong is a perfect counter to Mamoswine, and some forms of Garchomp (scarf, sub SD) Brightpowder chomps are annoying, but I have rain dance on my bronzong.

It resists both Mamos STABs and Stone Edge, and resists both Garchomp's STABs. Gyro Ball hits both of them very hard.

@Bologo: I don't know how to thank you, Encore is the best move ever. I've been using an Encore clefable, and it saves my butt so often, it's unbelievable! I still don't know why I overlooked this move before...! Thanks for posting all the random Encoring pokemon :P

Bronzong eh? What EV spread/moves are able to take out an SDChomp? That sucker seems to tear through everything if it gets a dance in. With Mamo I can see how Bronzong would be great. I've been using a Gliscor that I love, and does pretty well against Chomp, but it can't touch Mamo obviously.

Skarmory can deal with Mamo, but not Chomp. Chomp can be dealt with by a bulky phazer like Zapdos, but it has to watch out for Stone Edge. Surprisingly enough, Weezing can do an okay job at dealing with Chomp if it gets in and threatens with WoW before the sub.

Well, I have a wierd spread because I suck at making EV spreads; basically it's maximum HP, 152 attack, rest is used to make defences approx. even. Hits 334/314/314. It seems to beat Garchomp quite well, although Fire Blast still 3HKOs it.

Gyro Ball 3HKOs Chomp easily, Scarfchomp is maimed even worse. Even with three swords dances, it isn't gonna OHKO with Outrage without an item boost.

I wish pass to my 'Zong all the time, and never explode it, because it walls so much stuff.

Well, I come into Ice attacks with Vappy, EQ with Gliscor, and Stone Edge is taken by my Heatran.

I actually have used Suicune a few times, as I absorbed a hit to Ice Beam him back, assuming I CM'd once beforehand. Otherwise, I can use Areodactyl, with Ice Fang, or Zangoose, having him switch in on me while I Swords Dance and then hitting hard with Ice Punch.

Same way I deal with any pokemon I don't outright have a counter too. Revenge kill.

If either pokemon has a set up move you can switch in when they come in. They'll set up, and if you're faster you can move on them.

Mamoswine tends to use Curse from what I've seen as his set up move, making it easier to outspeed and kill if you jump in right away on the Curse. Garchomp is often scarfed or boasts Sword Dance. I personally find him MUCH harder to deal with.

If I see a 'Chomp my beastly Bronzong comes and takes the hit, and sleeps it. I then just have it get killed later. I also I sometimes try and safely switch in Swampert or Electivire who both have Ice Moves. It works. :\

If I see a 'Swine my Bronzong comes and does the above, or if I can safely have Infernape in, Grass Knot eliminates the big thing.

Also, if it's late game and I'm sure there is no other need for it I'll use Bronzong to Explode on their asses.

Cresselia is somehow not thought of? You can even Reflect to screw them eternally. Those aren't my problem Pokemon, mine are Tyranitar and brilliant Lucario users.

Swampert does surprisingly well with 120 BP Avalanche for Garchomp after it hits me with Outrage (which is still no where near OHKO with an SD), and Hydro Pumps Mamo to oblivion. Mamo kind of sucks IMO. Anything faster than it with a super effective move kills it. I actually laugh, a CB Ice Shard doesnt even do 70% to my Yanmega :-).

I like a tankish CB Donphan for Garchomp. It OHKOs with Ice Shard, and Yache/SD ones still only 2HKO with Outrage IIRC. Bronzong is my obvious choice for Mamo, although Suicune is pretty cool too.

My strat for countering Garchomp is to send in Bronzong and either sleep it or simply Gyro Ball, assuming its not using Fire Blast(which 3KO's my Bronzong. If the opportunity rises, I can send in my Gengar and use HP Ice on it for a OHKO, assuming no Yache or Scarf. Starmie works in the same manner with his Ice Beam.

Mamoswine is handled all day every day by my Bronzong, who resists everything Mamo can throw at it and can massively damage with Gyro Ball. Starmie can work in a pinch, but can't go switching into Choice Banded Earthquakes, but Surf will OHKO.
