I do envy those who were around my age when RBY came out. I was, what, four? I never really did to get a full Pokemon experience. By the time I was old enough to play it no one else was playing it. By the time I became old enough to play "properly" everyone was too busy trying to be "mature" to play Pokemon.

This caused for an interesting moment last year at JAA Philadelphia, where I was pretty much the oldest person in line for Celebi who wasn't a pokemom. I thought this was fairly depressing and shared my opinion with one of the girls who was giving out Celebi, and was told in reply "Nooo! No one's too old for pokemon!" I thought this was pretty cute and maybe even a little true.

I also like how everyone is trying so hard to seem older than they actually are with their "I'm X in Y days/months/years/eons!!!"
