This work I found it a gamefaqs and post it at gamewinners forums(user name there the master 123:)) I did it.However I found one problem though the delay stay after you do the trick but this trick is sweet.

There people go spreading it again. You guys might think this is cool. but someone on serebiii pmed nintendo about this and there going to take action on it.If they cant stop it they said they would have no choice but to not have trading from emerald rs and frlg.Cuz it would ruin the wifi having a billion cloned shinies running aorund the place. And why is everone praising glen this has been discovered long time. you would have proly noticed if you werent on smogon every minute of the day
Did they take action on the clone tricks from Red, Blue, Gold or Silver? Kind of, but not in the whiny way you're posting about.

If nintendo know about it they can easily decide to do something about it. However, there's already a DS Action Replay out which will probably have codes for D/P anyway.

Although I hate to admit it, it's futile to try and stop these duped/hacked pokemon.

Lol nice avy. I never said the rare candies are for leveling up purposes :/ i was talking about what that guy said about have a 1000 rare candies. rare candies only use really are seeing ivs/
Thanks lol, but no it's not, Rare Candies are a huge time saver when you don't want to level your pokemon all the way to L100 and you know that. Besides, the Old Man above the Pokemon Center in the battle Frontier can actually be just as helpful in giving you an idea of what your IVs are extremely fast if you don't have a ton of Rare Candies (yet). Also, you don't really need 1,000 Rare Candies anyway to get a few of your poker up to L100, just a few hundred and maybe not even over 100, it's really hard to draw the line where training becomes needlessly tedious.

Anyway idc im not cloning for any crap but a extra quake or 2. Id rather knwo i earned the stuff than get a cloned deoxys or somethin from a guy. But if you guys wanna clone thats your buis
Well, since there's a way to earn EQ in Emerald, aren't you still technically taking advantage of the glitch just like the people whose wrists you're slapping for the same thing?

This code pretty much makes shinies worthless. But hey atleast you can get one easily now... It now is a stupid move to trade your real shiny for another shiny. When I was at TCG worlds people were trading shiny Groudon's for crap like shiny Machop. This would have never happened before the cloning. While it is kind of cool, it rips off the person you're trading if they trade the original. Just clone your shinies, so you don't get ripped off and warn your friend that you're trading a clone. I'd say that's the best way to do it.

Also
Even though this glitch is kind of cool, if you don't know how to do it good it will erase your Pokemon and even your game on the spot. You're messing with the saved file, so everytime you do it you have a chance at completely erasing that Pokemon forever. It's not hard to mess up too, I've already seen it happen. Once it disappears you can't turn it off and try again.

True, but as long as you're following the directions carefully posted in this thread, you shouldn't really need to worry about slipping up. Besides, game deletion only happens to SOME people who make mistakes. I've screwed up item cloning and my game still works fine.

Has anyone here lost a Pokemon or corrupted data doing this yet?
I finally tried it a bit myself last night. Seems easy enough. I don't really know what my friend did to make his Pokemon vanish, but some how it just got lost forever when he tried the code. I'll have to ask him what he did wrong.

I'm only guessing, but I have a feeling if you suck at soft resetting maybe some people try to soft reset, but accidently press "A" on the save option then reset it while it's saving. That might be what is causing the screw ups. I don't know though.

I suck at soft reseting, so I just refuse after the save box pops up first, then reset. Its a little harder soft reseting on a DS (imo) so usually the "There's a time and place for everything!" message pops up, and I reset in the middle.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As for messing with the save file, I'd say its not as dangerous as most people think. The Missingno/Mew glitch in RBY were much more dangerous then this, same with Cloning in GSC. Cloning in GSC required you to shut off the power while saving at a certain time, and Missingno, well, Missingno and Mew were safe, but screwing up and encountering 'M/other missingno version could cause you to corrupt CART data, making the game unplayable. And, uh, how do you do spaces now? I tried Enter+Space and just bunches of spaces, both failed..

Just a few notes on the theory/mechanics of this glitch... It should help explain how/why things work the way they do.

1. The save you do in step 3 is the normal save we all know.
2. The "save" in step 7, and that 1 second pause seems to be a "partial save"

This "partial save" saves everything *except* your PC box. This includes things like your inventory, your party, what legendaries are/aren't still there, what move tutors are/aren't still there, etc.

When you do your save in step 3, everything (and your PC box) is saved. If you remove a pokemon/item, and do the "partial save" the pokemon/item gets saved as a part of your party/inventory.

When you reset, everything reverts back to when it was last saved. The PC box reverts to the save in step 3, and everything reverts to the "partial save" in step 7.

This explains how you can lose pokemon:
a. You have a Magikarp in your party.
b. Save.
c. You put the Magikarp in the box.
d. Partial-save, reset

This Magikarp is not present in your box in b., and is not present in your party in step d. Therefore, it disappears.

This probably already posted, but I'm lazy :D. What exactly is soft-resetting?

And also, why should you warn them if youre trading them a clone? Does it do weird stuff to their game?

well they might get pissed that you're giving them a clone? well my friend let me borrowed his emerald and i get the clones :P. so this is actually a very cool glitch

PS:I am new member :P :)

For the pomeg glitch, how high does the poke's level have to be? I tried it with my lv 70 tropius and it didn't work. And also, what's the "r/s missingno"?

Oh, and gaara is cool, but Rock lee's gonna kick his sorry evil butt this saturday.

EDIT: I ask a lot of questions huh? Thank you to anyone who has answered one of the many questions I have posted. Hey, I could start a thread where you could thank people...

EDIT 2: THE SEQUEL: HEY THIS IS MY 100th POST YAY FOR ME IT'S LIKE MY BIRTHDAY ONLY I DON'T GET PRESENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey, wait, I like presents.... GIVE ME DIGITAL PRESENTS!!!!!!

Ha ha. I laugh at those people who haven't discovered the joy of Naruto manga. I'M OVER 100 EPISODES AHEAD OF YOU!! MWAHAHAHA! Anyway, Lee gets his assed kicked.
yeah but then gaara helps lee out later on and the other sand ninjas as well.

well too bad sasuke left konoha and the third hokage died :(

Psshh, Garra doesn't do much of anything. He only won that fight because Kimimoro (that's his name, right?) was sick. The Third didn't do much for me anyway, but I do wish Sasuke hadn't left. Sai is gay. I think he's a girl....

i know but naruto is gayer lol! perverted ninjutsu? thats just stupid XD

Well, let's think. He's 14 years old, has a porn shop across the street from where he lives....

Besides, he's got shadow clones, Rasengan, frog summoning, and Kyuubi. I'd like to see Sasuke or Sai do any of that.

Oh, and so I don't get yelled at, I love cloning in Emerald! Over 800 Rare Candies! I'm set for D/P!

Okay, I withdraw my naruto comment.

Hey, what happened to talking about cloning?

NOTICE: THIS POST WAS WRITTEN BEFORE COOPER POSTED LAST, BUT POSTED AFTERWARDS(OBVIOUSLY)

And quit ruining the storyline for all of us who don't have the comics!

Naruto IS the Fourth. He's got the Fourth's spirit inside of him.

There's nothing left to talk about with cloning. All that's left is for someone to either discover something new (which I doubt) or for someone to start bitching about how they erased their game. The only thing we CAN do is talk about Naruto.

MissingNo (short for Missing Number) is a pokemon that the programmers use to create Pokemon. This gets really complicated, what with hex numbers and such, and I have this cousin who spends (or spent, I don't know if she still does) lots of her time researching Missingno = / Missingno could be found in RBY without the use of a cheating device, by preforming the Safari Zone glitch. In Crystal I encounted a Missingno after preforming the cloning glitch wrong, however in G/S I don't think Missingno will appear no matter how much you incorrectly clone. In R/S/FR/LG the programmers started to make sure MissingNo could not be encounted without using a cheating device, and to my knowledge, they were successful. HOWEVER, in Emerald version, MissingNo could be found by preforming the "Pomeg Glitch", where you give a high leveled Pokemon with HP EVs a Pomeg Berry while said Pokemon is at 1 HP. The Pomeg Berry in Emerald is like an anti-vitamin; it decreases your HP EVs by 10. This would mean -2 HP for a level 100 Pokemon with more then 10 HP EVs. Thing is, the programmers forgot a little detail when coding. You see, instead of the Pokemon fainting, it sets that Pokemons HP to a number in the 65000s. Read Amazing Ampharos' description for more details. Missingno in RBY was VERY in-depth, and had well over 100 form of appearing because of the hex numbers. In GSC, I believe it only appeared as an egg or as a circle with a question mark (like when you haven't encountered a pokemon before, it will show that circle in the Pokedex. In R/S/FR/LG/E MissingNo could appear as 2 large question marks, a circle with a question mark in the center, and the oh-so famous, BADEGG. It was believed that the programmers intentionally put BADEGG in the game to stop people from using a hacking device often, though I doubt it was confirmed. Another odd thing about MissingNo is that in the North American versions of R/B/Y, it was part Bird. Bird isn't a type, and some this is why people to believe that Flying type were originally going to be called "bird". And in G/S, the programmers didn't have the time to alter game mechanics as they were quite rushed to get the games out, the programmers had the Safari Zone map all planed out too, but because of Missingno, they decided to remove the door from the Safari Zone and made NPCs in Fuchsia City talk about it being "closed". The maps of the Safari Zone can be found if you look at the carts programming. Ok, so now that you've seen this big ugly wall of text, somebody PLEASE tell me how I can get spaces here, even though I'm puting spaces in certain places, it still gets all bunched up :(

didn't read all that yet, but I know what missingno is (I read the wikipedia article). I was wondering about the r/s missingno as reffered to in the pomeg cheat part.

EDIT: (kay, read it, nev mind. And I was going to talk about the E4 data crrupting bad egg, but you all ready covered it. (note: by that I meant it corrupts the elite 4 data. and every time you fight the elite 4, it corrupts more data. at least that's what I heard from someone who got a bad egg.)

Sometimes I find it hard to sleep at nightwhen I hear reports of missingno... (Note: yes, it's pathetic) does badegg look like a regular egg? and what exactly causes it?

Edit again: Oh, and for those of you who just loove hearing about missingno, here's some more info. Missingno also sometimes appears as the ghost sprite for lav. tower before you get the silph scope or a backwards L shape made of scrambled-looking grey stuff, kinda like tv static. Some other forms included 'M' and even prof. oak or other trainers! It could also be caused if you talk to the man who teaches you how to catch pokemon, fly to Cinnabar or any other town that you can battle wild pokes inside of, and battle a wild poke within the area of the town. The form of issingno you get depends on the letters and # of letters in your name. Okay, I'm done.
