Hurricane Sandy

So apparently NJ is letting people vote via e-mail/fax due to the storm...
I don't know how they think that's a good idea, and people displaced by the storm would probably have just as much trouble sending an e-mail/fax as they would just going to the polls anyway.

Well, it's been hell the past few days here. My house is pretty good damage wise, although some of the roof has been ripped a bit. The woods behind me got mowed down and a bunch of trees got uprooted or snapped. We didn't get it very bad, but still power lines we down everywhere and transformers were blown out all over town. 2 poles snapped in 2 and it's taking about another 4 days until they are going to repair it fully. Nothing devastating, but it is pretty bad. My neighbor had his shed crushed, and the local bait shop at the beach god engulfed by water apparently, so it looks as though it will be awhile until the shore is restored.

On another note, New Rochelle got wrecked and boats are actually on streets in some cases from what my uncle said. So strange fish have been actually going around inshore such as football sized Bluefins from what I heard, which is strange.

Just got power back-lots of trees down on my block but nothing on my property thank god. One of my friend's grandparents had a tree fall straight into the living room-no injuries thankfully.
