XY LC - Adorable Annihilation
OK, this is my first RMT I've ever posted on here, so please feel free to tell me if the team is lacking in any department.
I literally made this team in 7 minutes and was just hoping for a fun Tower of God (it's a manhwa) inspired Pokemon team, but it turned out better than I had expected it to.
Rak (Tyrunt) (M) @ Eviolite
Level: 5
Trait: Strong Jaw
EVs: 140 Atk / 156 SDef / 212 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Poison Fang
- Rock Slide
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
This little guy is what I tried to base the team off of.
Monstrous Stats + Dragon Dance + Nice Coverage + Maximum Cuteness
Tyrunt's got it all. It's got great bulk and works as a good late game sweeper.
Androssi (Misdreavus) (F) @ Berry Juice
Level: 5
Shiny: Yes
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 36 Def / 236 SAtk / 236 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Nasty Plot
- Shadow Ball
- Dazzling Gleam
(Not sure if Misdreavus is banned from LC on Smogon, but on the battle sim I use, Misdreavus is still legal in XY LC.
If I switch to PS, then I'll change it if Misdreavus is illegal )
With Misdreavus, I was tempted to go for a wall variant, but instead went for a Sub+NastyPlot set. I actually rarely get to use Nasty Plot, but it helps (a lot) when I do pull it off. Berry Juice > Eviolite bc Sub replenish.
Misdreavus covers Ground/Fighting weakness from Tyrunt.
Hatsu (Pawniard) (M) @ Eviolite
Level: 5
Trait: Defiant
EVs: 156 HP / 156 Atk / 36 Def / 44 SDef / 116 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Knock Off
- Stealth Rock
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head
Wrecking machine. This guy's my primary lead with SR. If there's a spinner/defogger I'll keep him safe until the threat is neutralized, else I'll just bash things with Pawniard until he gets KO'd. Also Defiant on Intimidate Growlith/Sticky Web feels so good. Forms standard core with Misdreavus. Covers Ice/Dragon for Tyrunt.
Anak (Axew) (F) @ Eviolite
Level: 5
Trait: Mold Breaker
EVs: 220 Atk / 68 Def / 220 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Dig
- Substitute
Shh, before you say anything about dig, all I can say is that hitting a switched in Levitator feels amazing. Also Axew has no moves besides Poison Jab, Night Slash, and Superpower (no stat drops pls). I ran SD over DD because it really gives it more potential to crush walls.
Koon (Azurill) (M) @ Eviolite
Level: 5
Trait: Huge Power
EVs: 36 HP / 36 Atk / 196 Def / 200 SDef / 40 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Return
- Knock Off
- Waterfall
- Iron Tail
I don't know how I feel about Azurill. Huge Power gives it a big ATK buff. It has some solid defences. Nice STAB Return and Knock Off. Unfortunately it has a very limited movepool and couldn't think of anything better than to give it Waterfall and Iron Tail. I really hate how slow it is, though. (9 Spd) It would be infinitely better if it had a priority attack.
Baam (Zorua) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Level: 5
Shiny: Yes
Trait: Illusion
EVs: 36 Def / 200 SAtk / 240 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Dark Pulse
- Foul Play
- Extrasensory
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
This guy is a real playmaker. I'll usually set Tyrunt in the back for Zorua's illusions, but if the opponent has Pawniard, I'll lead with Zorua illusioned as my own Pawniard and then proceed to smash with HP [Fighting]. Best saved for a late game cleanup.
If played correctly, he can really turn the tables either late or early in a game.
So that's my XY LC team. Please rate and suggest changes. Thanks.
