Idea for a Pokemon Wii Game

Yeah, I have gotten that alot. The whole idea is that the adjustmant system targets every player. Kids hate to lose. They love winning so easily! Kids don't understand Swords dance, or at least most of them. They think that status moves are stupid, etc. Us older gamers know that status is pretty awesome, and it is used largely in our metagame.

Kids will buy anything that says pokemon on it, so why wouldn't they buy this?

EDIT: It isn't really an MMO as much as it could be. The game is on Wii, and plays as an rpg, but can go online to trade, auction and challenge other players.

Fucking amazing idea, but sadly it will likely never be made.

I especially love getting to be on an evil team, I have been wanting a Pokemon game like that for forever.

Posting to say I had a dream about playing this game. I can't remember much but it involved an Ivysaur or maybe Venusaur.

I have always wanted a good pokemon wii game, but think of the kind of work and data it would take to get all that. If they are planning something, I doubt it won't be out for a while. Perhaps something after Platinum comes out in english.

Great idea, but unfortunately there's a very small chance of it happening. I've always wanted first-person Pokemon, since in the anime it takes Ash like two weeks to get to Jubilife from Twinleaf Town, and in the game it takes like 20 seconds.

mm.. As another way to earn money.. How about jobs?

If you worked for Team Rocket, or a Poke Centrer or something you would get paid, right?

And yea.. This would be great but I can't see it happening based on how Nintendo has treated the Pokemon franchise in the past...

Even a far more basic version than the one you describe would be awesome...

Jobs sound awesome! Also, I will try sending a bunch of letters, although then they could steal my idea and I won't get featured in game informer ;_; (LOL)

Anyways, I really want to be able to like...find a manager at least for nintendo.

My advice to you would be to find anyone that works for nintendo or knows someone who works for nintendo, and present the idea. Then ask them if they know anyone higher than them to present your idea to. Then you present it to them, and so on, until you get all the way to the top.

The Gyarados thing could happen, but not death. This should be able to maintain an E rating, so that Nintend can reel in everyone, not just teens +

you have to understand that if this was made, Nintendo would need to at least make triple back.

Or they could tack on some cheap Colosseum engine.

I guess the way to argue this is to show that one of these improvements substantially widens the base of Nintendo games or somehow inconveniences its competitors or raises the reputation of the overall company.

Maybe it's too late for pokemon, but a similar game could be created along these lines.

Also, I would not go with the button pressing for a pokeball. I need to think of a better solution...

i like the idea of this- seems a sort of pokemon fable/ oblivion game and guess what? I love those games :D

If something like this came out I would probably buy a Wii just to play it great idea.

Loving the idea of joining Team Galactic :D

You're not the only one, i've been thinking it would be awesome to have a Pokemon game like that on a home console. In fact i would buy a Stadium 3 if they made it and i was a fan of the first two >_> Colosseum games were pretty bad...

I'm not sure if Nintendo would do it or not, probably they thought about it at some point (well is their job to think about new games) but they could be unsure about it, not to mention is way easier to make a shitty game that sells like Ranger (just baiting with an event pokemon inside). However i'm sure they don't listen (directly) to fan ideas :/ i doubt you get them to make the game.

Especially like the starter idea. Another cool idea would be that your pokemon not only differ in stats, levels, and moves, but also in the enviroment you most train in. For example, after a certain amount of time training in one place, your pokemon adapts in some way to take advantage of the enviroment or make himself stable. This would allow for some real thinking to take place in a battle when a weakness you assume is true might not be there at all.

Moves a pokemon can learn should be limited, but stats shouldnt stop increasing either and an age factor and laziness could be another idea too.

You should be able to catch all the pokes currently in the game and trade them over to handhelds as well.

just my 2 cents.

All in favor of supreme pokemon game?

Yay.

Well, one problem with the idea of running around with a Pokemon is, what if you want to run around with two or three? A team of six would be impossible to have hanging around. And there are 493 Pokemon, making everyone of them to be a movable avatar would take TONS of effort. But it would be awesome.

An alternate idea is that while you walk around with your Pokemon, spray water at people, etc. when you get into a Pokemon battle, it could go into a Super Smash Bros idea. So it wouldn't be a full 3D environment, but it wouldnt be turn by turn. It would put less stress on the Wii.

I cant see an MMORPG happening for the Wii. Not everyone can have WiFi, and the system would be too large too work.

This idea, even thought its amazing and awesome, would be limited to what nintendo can fit onto a disc and make a profit when selling for $50. Obviously every awesome idea cannot be fufilled, but the ones that make pokemon on the wii not as gay as it is today. I mean, how retarded is it that the pokemon just stand around in between turns while the camera uses all different angles? I think its dumb. And that would be the selling point: real life pokemon. Im sure everyone who has enjoyed pokemon has wished or thought about if they were real. Well, i think so far this is the best technology can give us so far: a game thats similar to the battling in the anime. Do you really need to squirt someone's face in the game? No, but it would be cool. That is why it needs to be presented when presenting this idea: it capitalizes on the realness that the game has to offer.

Dark Artisan, have you sent any letters/ emails yet? If so, great, if not, you should, and not let this idea sink into the retired threads of smogon.

Another thing: ever since i was alittle kid, Ive dreamed of a pokemon theme park, where you go into it and there are like robots resembling pokemon that battle and such. A very unreasonable idea Ive realized, so I figured out a more realistic approach: virtual battling. Like you go to places that have arenas, where you would connect your ds/ "poke balls" you purchased in a slot that reads what pokemon are in it, stats, etc, and creates a holograph, (or what could be done today on a screen) a realistic image of that pokemon. And you battle with others, etc.

Well, I think that if its built so that you run around in a 3D environment, but battling is in a 2D environment, but its not turn based, would put less tress on the disc. Also, one problem is that if it had everything mentioned, you could probably get to maybe Viridian City in Kanto before the game had to be over, its too much to put on a game, like the whole steal Pokemon join the evil teams idea is good, but WAY to hard to accomplish with todays technology.

A game like this sounds fun, but it would need to be really balanced. For example, Ninjask could move around a Pokémon avoiding hits while swords dancing, and then just attack, fly in a random pattern, attack, etc. This could be stopped using fatigue and stuff, but then again, baton pass...
But yeah, it's probably possible to balance out.

And stealing other trainers' pokémons isn't really a good idea, IMO. unless it's restricted (Colo/XD), in which case the whole game would be based on it.

A computer based game would be better, but quite honestly, no computer compnay wants Nintendo on it. Nintendo is supposed to be a console only company, even though this would be amazing. The Wii isn't a horrible idea, it can have pretty big games. But for something this scale... maybe if it wasn't a journey. I know I've been comparing it to Super Smash Bros Brawl before, but it could work like the Subspace Emmisary. Side Scrolling.

but it kind of defeats the purpose. It probably wouldnt end up being like all three regions, etc. maybe a smaller region with fewer battles and more of a story size comparable to collesem/ xd probably possible to make it bigger. Then they could keep releasing installments: kind of like what PS3 is doing with the Ratchet and Clank series. Shorter, less expensive "episodes" so to speak of games. But all of the installments would have to be based from the same memory, so you can keep your pokes throught, etc.

I suppose something along the lines of Orre would be good. But Orre was only cities, no travel time in between which I found kind of ruined it. And that makes sense, since more installments means more money for Nintendo.
