Exile Vilify from Portal 2. I'm shocked no one's mentioned this one yet; I absolutely love it. I've been listening to it almost never stopping for the past few days. Just fyi, it is a secret, so if you want to find it yourself ingame (if you already haven't), be warned.
I love this song soooooo much, I think I put it in the 2011 Music thread, but i don't remember. The national is great alone, but this song really takes the cake (pun intended).

cant think of any specific examples buuuuuut

anything anything anything from animal crossing, all the music is adorable and makes you feel safe (lol im a (BAN ME PLEASE))

legend of zelda: ocarina of time has some of the best music of any zelda game, but honestly, all the zelda games have great music. in fact, its a bit odd that the zelda games all have such consistently great music seeing as there are so many of them. heres to consistency!

frozen synapse has pretty great music, it fits the game quite nicely and makes the whole experience of playing the game much more absorbing.

i confess that a lot of the time i play games with the volume off so i dont wake up my parents, though, so im more than likely missing out on a great deal of awesome music! :(

Though it is a bit off the beaten path Pac Man World 2 has no shortage of great background music. It is interesting to note that each level has a 3-minute-or-so chunk of music playing that has a beginning, middle, and end, then stops and repeats. The worlds each have a common musical theme, and each stage offers a different variation. I am missing a lot of great tracks and the songs are better in context of the game, but here is a sample:

Menu
Blinky's Killer Frog
B-Doing Woods
Inky's Blade O Matic
Avelanche Alley
Pinky's Revenge
Volcanic Panic
Clyde in the Caldera
Scuba Duba
Whale on a Sub
Haunted Boardwalk
Spooky

I've looked and looked again, but I couldn't find Midna's Lament from TLOZ: Twilight Princess. Absolutely fabulous piece of music. Really introduced me to the Land of Video Game Sound Tracks.
Agreeing with Corneria Star Fox but the Smash Bros Brawl remix is superior in my opinion
