*insert pun about sand and stall*

Hi guys, this is my first warstory, but you can be as critical as you want. Let's hope I get the formatting right here...

About the teams and such:
I'm running my first stall team, and it's been doing okay so far. Here it is:

Deoxys-D, lead spiker and Magic Coat user.

Jirachi, general failsafe when it comes to special attacks.

Tangela, equipped with Evolution Stone and physical wall/subseeder.

Tentacruel, provides Toxic Spikes and spin support, along with backup special bulk.

Garchomp, equipped with the defences of Swampert and arguably better defensive typing; provides secondary phazing.

Barujiina, the main physical wall and phazer.

Battle between SgtScReaM and min min started!

Comments will be in italic.
I spent an hour putting in the pics manually, and I'm not too willing to spend another hour calculating percentages.

Tier: Wifi

Variation: +19, -12
Rule: Rated
Rule: Sleep Clause
Rule: Species Clause
Rule: Wifi Battle

This is a wifi battle, so I get to see his team. At first glance there is Tyranitar, Doryuuzu and Randorosu, so I prepare myself for a battle with an ordinary sandstorm team.

min min sent out Deoxys-D! (Deoxys-D)
SgtScReaM sent out Nattorei!

Deoxys-D is exerting its Pressure!

He leads with Nattorei, so I assume he's going to set up spikes as soon as possible. I click on Magic Coat to bounce back whatever he drops, but I have spin support later so it really wouldn't make much of a difference.

Start of turn 1

Deoxys-D used Magic Coat!
Deoxys-D shrouded itself with Magic Coat!

The foe's Nattorei used Stealth Rock!
The foe's Nattorei's Stealth Rock was bounced back by Magic Coat!
Pointed stones float in the air around SgtScReaM's team!

Just as planned, the opponent goes for the rocks and I reflect it back onto his side. This is a good thing for me, as Garchomp doesn't have to waste a turn using it later, allowing it to focus on phazing with Dragon Tail.

Start of turn 2

Deoxys-D used Spikes!
Spikes were scattered all around the feet of SgtScReaM's team!

The foe's Nattorei used Leech Seed!
Deoxys-D was seeded!

Deoxys-D's health is sapped by leech seed.

My opponent goes for Leech Seed this turn, as Magic Coat wouldn't help against it. Seeing as he has no spinner beforehand, I start to lay on the spikes. However, I might need Deoxys later for general walling, and the Leech Seed could affect him in the long run.

Start of turn 3

min min called Deoxys-D back!
min min sent out Jirachi! (Jirachi)

The foe's Nattorei used Gyro Ball!
It's not very effective...
Jirachi lost 51 HP! (12% of its health)

Jirachi restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Nattorei really is a troublesome fellow to my team, being immune to Toxic and Leech Seed. Jirachi's Fire Punch, while unSTAB'd, will do a number on Nattorei, but surely not KO.

Start of turn 4

SgtScReaM called Nattorei back!
SgtScReaM sent out Tyranitar!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Tyranitar!
The foe's Tyranitar is hurt by spikes!

The foe's Tyranitar's Sand Stream whipped up a sandstorm!
Jirachi used Fire Punch!
It's not very effective...
The foe's Tyranitar lost 7% of its health!

Jirachi restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

SgtScream sees the searing stubs of Jirachi slashing in from a mile away, and reacts accordingly. Sand is now up, which makes things slightly problematic for my team as Tangela and Tentacruel are affected by it. Randorosu also becomes more deadly with the Sand Power boost. Nevertheless, Jirachi was born to take on Tyranitar. Iron Head it is!

Start of turn 5

SgtScReaM called Tyranitar back!
SgtScReaM sent out Skarmory!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Skarmory!

Jirachi used Iron Head!
It's not very effective...
The foe's Skarmory lost 8% of its health!

Jirachi restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Obvious Iron Head is obvious, and Iron Head does pittance to Skarmory. Since Skarmory is immune to poison, I might as well paralyse it to allow Tangela to subseed it more easily.

Start of turn 6

Jirachi used Thunder Wave!
The foe's Skarmory is paralyzed! It may be unable to move!

The foe's Skarmory used Spikes!
Spikes were scattered all around the feet of min min's team!

The turn goes as planned, but Skarmory lays down its spikes. This would be bad if it carries on, but Skarmory is luckily now a sitting duck for Tangela to Leech Seed.

Start of turn 7

min min called Jirachi back!
min min sent out Tangela! (Tangela)
Tangela is hurt by spikes!

The foe's Skarmory used Whirlwind!
Barujiina was dragged out!

Unfortunately Skarmory gets impatient and starts shuffling through my team to rack up residual damage. Fortunately, Barujiina is brought in, who can surely outspeed and whirlwind Skarmory away.

Start of turn 8

The foe's Skarmory used Spikes!
Spikes were scattered all around the feet of min min's team!

Barujiina used Whirlwind!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Nattorei!
The foe's Nattorei is hurt by spikes!
The foe's Nattorei was dragged out!

The foe's Nattorei restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

SgtScream knows that Barujiina outspeeds, so the laying of another layer of spikes would be the best thing to do. Currently, he has SR and 2 layers of spikes up. Along with Doryuuzu and Randorosu, this makes his team balanced or maybe quickstall, which are quite hard to wear down.

Start of turn 9

Barujiina used Air Slash!
The foe's Nattorei lost 11% of its health!

The foe's Nattorei used Leech Seed!
The attack of the foe's Nattorei missed!

The foe's Nattorei restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

The next few turns consist of me trying to score some flinch hax and him trying to suck some health. Not a good play here...

Start of turn 10

Barujiina used Air Slash!
The foe's Nattorei lost 9% of its health!

The foe's Nattorei used Leech Seed!
The attack of the foe's Nattorei missed!

The foe's Nattorei restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Start of turn 11

Barujiina used Air Slash!
The foe's Nattorei lost 11% of its health!

The foe's Nattorei used Leech Seed!
Barujiina was seeded!

Barujiina's health is sapped by leech seed.
The foe's Nattorei restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Okay, getting serious here. I switch to Tentacruel to get rid of the entry hazards he has laid, however he can still set them up again. Better none for the time being than 3 for the rest of the match.

Start of turn 12

min min called Barujiina back!
min min sent out Tentacruel! (Tentacruel)
Tentacruel is hurt by spikes!

The foe's Nattorei used Gyro Ball!
It's not very effective...
Tentacruel lost 62 HP! (17% of its health)

Tentacruel is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Tentacruel restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
The foe's Nattorei restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Nattorei attacks me directly, but Tentacruel resists Gyro Ball. Time to spin away, as he can do nothing more to me. However, I think I might have a better chance to do so later, so I go for the Toxic Spikes. On hindsight, WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR???

Start of turn 13

SgtScReaM called Nattorei back!
SgtScReaM sent out Breloom!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Breloom!
The foe's Breloom is hurt by spikes!

Tentacruel used Toxic Spikes!
Poison spikes were scattered all around the feet of SgtScReaM's team!

The foe's Breloom is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Tentacruel is buffeted by the sandstorm!
The foe's Breloom's Toxic Orb activated!
The foe's Breloom was poisoned!
Tentacruel restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

And so I lay down my hazard, but is met with Breloom. Sleep is really bad for my team, as it needs everyone to stay alive to work well. However none of my pokemon can take an attack from Breloom well except Tangela and Barujiina, and I need Tangela for her Leech Seed more than Barujiina's phazing and bulk.

Start of turn 14

min min called Tentacruel back!
min min sent out Barujiina! (Barujiina)

The foe's Breloom used Spore!
Barujiina fell asleep!

The foe's Breloom is buffeted by the sandstorm!
The foe's Breloom restored HP using its Poison Heal!
Barujiina restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Barujiina goes out of commision and Breloom isn't even scratched. Tangela can do nothing to it, so it's off to Garchomp who might just make it through and start accumulating damage with Dragon Tail.

Start of turn 15

The foe's Breloom is tightening its focus!
min min called Barujiina back!
min min sent out Garchomp! (Garchomp)
Garchomp is hurt by spikes!

The foe's Breloom used Focus Punch!
Garchomp lost 228 HP! (56% of its health)

The foe's Breloom is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Garchomp restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
The foe's Breloom restored HP using its Poison Heal!

Garchomp takes a hefty 56% to the face and isn't in much of a fit condition to phaze anymore. I predict a switch to Nattorei, as most players expect Garchomp to carry Outrage and use it to KO Breloom.

Start of turn 16

SgtScReaM called Breloom back!
SgtScReaM sent out Nattorei!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Nattorei!
The foe's Nattorei is hurt by spikes!

Garchomp used Earthquake!
The foe's Nattorei lost 30% of its health!

Garchomp restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
The foe's Nattorei restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Nattorei will die soon, which is great news for Tangela later on.

Start of turn 17

Garchomp used Earthquake!
The foe's Nattorei lost 30% of its health!

The foe's Nattorei used Gyro Ball!
The attack of the foe's Nattorei missed!

Garchomp restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
The foe's Nattorei restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Sand Veil hax allows me to stay around longer, but if it had hit then Garchomp would most likely be dead.

Start of turn 18

Garchomp used Earthquake!
The foe's Nattorei lost 28% of its health!
The foe's Nattorei fainted!

Garchomp restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
SgtScReaM sent out Skarmory!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Skarmory!

And so Nattorei goes down in triumphant fanfare. The score is now 6-5, with me in the lead. Skarmory comes in however, and I really should switch out. Still, I could also Dragon Tail away...

Start of turn 19

]The foe's Skarmory used Roost!
The foe's Skarmory landed on the ground!
The foe's Skarmory regained health!

Garchomp used Dragon Tail!
It's not very effective...
The foe's Skarmory lost 8% of its health!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Breloom!
The foe's Breloom is hurt by spikes!
The foe's Breloom was dragged out!

The foe's Breloom is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Garchomp restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
The foe's Breloom restored HP using its Poison Heal!

Skarmory uses this opportunity to regain some precious health, and I start to shuffle through the opponent's team.

Start of turn 20

The foe's Breloom used Seed Bomb!
The attack of the foe's Breloom missed!

Garchomp used Dragon Tail!
The foe's Breloom lost 43% of its health!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Doryuuzu!
The foe's Doryuuzu was dragged out!
The foe's Doryuuzu is floating on a balloon!

Garchomp restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Here comes Doryuuzu, who avoids spikes damage by way of Balloon. Garchomp is currently at around 60-odd percent, and would hopefully live through the obvious Earthquake. I keep him in, hoping to shuffle once more.

Start of turn 21

The foe's Doryuuzu used Earthquake!
Garchomp avoided the attack!

Garchomp used Dragon Tail!
It's not very effective...
The foe's Doryuuzu lost 19% of its health!
The foe's Doryuuzu's Balloon popped!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Randorosu!
The foe's Randorosu was dragged out!

Garchomp restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Another stroke of luck puts Doryuuzu vulnerable to spikes and brings Randorosu in. Earthquake would KO in sand, so I prepare to switch to Barujiina. However, I stick to my quirky policy of playing it obvious...

Start of turn 22

The foe's Randorosu used Stone Edge!
It's not very effective...
Garchomp lost 90 HP! (22% of its health)
The foe's Randorosu is hurt by its Life Orb!

Garchomp used Toxic!
The foe's Randorosu was poisoned!

The foe's Randorosu is hurt by poison!
Garchomp restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

...and poison Randorosu, as it's immune to Spikes and Toxic Spikes. This will make subseeding it easier for Tangela. On the other side of the field, Randorosu's Stone Edge fails to target my Barujiina.

Start of turn 23
The foe's Randorosu used Earthquake!
Garchomp lost 217 HP! (54% of its health)
Garchomp fainted!
The foe's Randorosu is hurt by its Life Orb!

The foe's Randorosu is hurt by poison!
min min sent out Deoxys-D! (Deoxys-D)
Deoxys-D is hurt by spikes!

Deoxys-D is exerting its Pressure!

Garchomp goes down, a minor misplay on my part. I send in Deoxys, whose massive defenses should enable it to set up at least another layer of spikes. The score is now 5-all.

Start of turn 24

The foe's Randorosu used U-turn!
It's super effective!
Deoxys-D lost 108 HP! (35% of its health)
The foe's Randorosu is hurt by its Life Orb!
SgtScReaM called Randorosu back!
SgtScReaM sent out Tyranitar!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Tyranitar!
The foe's Tyranitar is hurt by spikes!
The foe's Tyranitar was poisoned!

Deoxys-D used Spikes!
Spikes were scattered all around the feet of SgtScReaM's team!

Deoxys-D is buffeted by the sandstorm!
The foe's Tyranitar is hurt by poison!
Deoxys-D restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Hah, a super-effective U-turn failed to even 2HKO and I lay down my spikes. Tyranitar switches in, which could spell certain doom for Deoxys, and I really wanted to get all 3 layers down to put the hurt on Doryuuzu.

Start of turn 25

min min called Deoxys-D back!
min min sent out Jirachi! (Jirachi)
Jirachi is hurt by spikes!

The foe's Tyranitar used Crunch!
Jirachi lost 153 HP! (37% of its health)

The foe's Tyranitar is hurt by poison!
Jirachi restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Jirachi is a sound choice, as it can take Tyranitar down with Iron Head.

Start of turn 26
The foe's Tyranitar used Crunch!
Jirachi lost 148 HP! (36% of its health)

Jirachi used Iron Head!
It's super effective!
The foe's Tyranitar lost 18% of its health!
The foe's Tyranitar fainted!

Jirachi restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
SgtScReaM sent out Doryuuzu!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Doryuuzu!
The foe's Doryuuzu is hurt by spikes!

Sadly it was a ScarfTar, and Jirachi is nearing 20%. Seeing as its only recovery outside of lefties is Wish, Jirachi is in no shape to continue, so I decide to sack it. The score is presently 4-5, with me in the lead.

Start of turn 27

The foe's Doryuuzu used Earthquake!
It's super effective!
Jirachi lost 86 HP! (21% of its health)
Jirachi fainted!

min min sent out Tangela! (Tangela)
Tangela is hurt by spikes!

I go down 4-4 and safely bring Tangela in. Doryuuzu can't touch it without boosting, and I throw up a leech seed for recovery.

Start of turn 28

SgtScReaM called Doryuuzu back!
SgtScReaM sent out Skarmory!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Skarmory!

Tangela used Leech Seed!
The foe's Skarmory was seeded!

Tangela is buffeted by the sandstorm!
The foe's Skarmory's health is sapped by leech seed.

This is an excellent matchup, as Skarmory can barely dent Tangela even with Brave Bird thanks to Evolution Stone. Regardless, I protect to save my health.

Start of turn 29

SgtScReaM called Skarmory back!
SgtScReaM sent out Breloom!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Breloom!
The foe's Breloom is hurt by spikes!

Tangela used Protect!
But it failed!

The foe's Breloom is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Tangela is buffeted by the sandstorm!
The foe's Breloom restored HP using its Poison Heal!

The previous turn must have been a misplay, and Breloom comes in. No matter, I can live through Breloom as well, but I can't use Leech Seed. Giga Drain should finish it off at its current health (less than 20%).

Start of turn 30

The foe's Breloom used Seed Bomb!
It's not very effective...
Tangela lost 33 HP! (9% of its health)

Tangela used Giga Drain!
It's not very effective...
The foe's Breloom lost 16% of its health!
The foe's Breloom had its energy drained!
The foe's Breloom fainted!

Tangela is buffeted by the sandstorm!
SgtScReaM sent out Skarmory!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Skarmory!

Here we are again at the favourable matchup, but I doubt my opponent knows it. Leech Seed time!

Start of turn 31

Tangela used Leech Seed!
The foe's Skarmory was seeded!

The foe's Skarmory is paralyzed! It can't move!

Tangela is buffeted by the sandstorm!
The foe's Skarmory's health is sapped by leech seed.

Bah, parahax. Brave Bird wouldn't have done anything short of a 3HKO anyway, but things seem really unlucky for my opponent.

Start of turn 32

Tangela used Substitute!
Tangela made a substitute!

The foe's Skarmory used Brave Bird!
It's super effective!
Tangela's substitute faded!
The foe's Skarmory is hit with recoil!

Tangela is buffeted by the sandstorm!
The foe's Skarmory's health is sapped by leech seed.

I live for a little bit longer, gaining precious health in the process.

Start of turn 33
Tangela used Protect!
Tangela protected itself!

The foe's Skarmory used Brave Bird!
Tangela protected itself!

Tangela is buffeted by the sandstorm!

Nothing to see here.

The foe's Skarmory fainted!
SgtScReaM sent out Randorosu!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Randorosu!

More parahax is inconsequential, but my second protect might have failed anyway. Skarmory goes down, the score is now 4-3 with me in the lead. Randorosu comes in however, who packs a beast U-turn. I switch to Tentacruel for some much-needed spin support and hope it's a scarf variant...(yeah. It's not).

Start of turn 35

min min called Tangela back!
min min sent out Tentacruel! (Tentacruel)
Tentacruel is hurt by spikes!

The foe's Randorosu used U-turn!

The foe's Doryuuzu is hurt by spikes!

Tentacruel is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Tentacruel restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

I have nothing that can take Doryuuzu on except Barujiina and Tangela, and the latter has to switch in indirectly if he SD's, expecting a switch. Sighhh... so much for delaying the rapid spin.

Start of turn 36

The foe's Doryuuzu used Earthquake!
It's super effective!
Tentacruel lost 114 HP! (31% of its health)
Tentacruel fainted!

min min sent out Deoxys-D! (Deoxys-D)
Deoxys-D is hurt by spikes!

Deoxys-D is exerting its Pressure!

Deoxys-D comes in to sacrifice himself as he can do little else. Might as well...

Start of turn 37

The foe's Doryuuzu used Earthquake!
Deoxys-D lost 58 HP! (19% of its health)
Deoxys-D fainted!

min min sent out Barujiina! (Barujiina)

Down goes Deoxys-D. His job is done anyway, and I sacrifice it to Doryuuzu, and try to wake Barujiina up. I'm certain it can survive for at least 3 turns, which would leave me with a fair chance of reaching the end of the counter. After that I can phaze him out, hopefully accumulating more residual damage.

Start of turn 38

The foe's Doryuuzu used Rock Slide!
It's super effective!
Barujiina lost 132 HP! (31% of its health)

Barujiina is fast asleep!

Barujiina restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Hang in there...

It's super effective!
Barujiina lost 236 HP! (55% of its health)

Barujiina is fast asleep!

Barujiina restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

...dammit. It looks as I will lose from here, as I doubt even Tangela can face BOTH Randorosu and Doryuuzu head on. The score has dropped to a depressing 1-2...

Start of turn 41

The foe's Doryuuzu used Rock Slide!
It's super effective!
Barujiina lost 107 HP! (25% of its health)
Barujiina fainted!

min min sent out Tangela! (Tangela)

Tangela makes her final stand for the team, facing against Doryuuzu and Randorosu on her lonesome.

Start of turn 42

The foe's Doryuuzu used Brick Break!

Tangela used Leech Seed!
The foe's Doryuuzu was seeded!

Tangela is buffeted by the sandstorm!

I gain some health, but Sandstorm limits me somewhat. Doryuuzu is in the near-red, just enough for Giga Drain to kill.

Start of turn 44

The foe's Doryuuzu used Earthquake!
It's not very effective...
Tangela lost 77 HP! (23% of its health)

Here I could have used Substitute instead, but I had little hope I would live through Randorosu anyway. Now I'm left with little more than 10%.

Tangela used Protect!
Tangela protected itself!

The foe's Randorosu used U-turn!
Tangela protected itself!

Tangela is buffeted by the sandstorm!
The foe's Randorosu is hurt by poison!

Wait, Randorosu is near-red as well, which means Toxic kills in 2 turns! The second protect will save my life and win the game, if it ever works. Tangela's dangerously low health, along with lack of Leftovers, Leech Seed and the presence of Sandstorm, means that it can only live one more turn as well. The sandstorm damage might not count if Randorosu dies first, giving me a win. Either way, it will be a tense and glorious finish...

Start of turn 46

Tangela used Protect!

But it failed!

The foe's Randorosu used U-turn!
It's super effective!
Tangela lost 17 HP! (5% of its health)

Tie between min min and SgtScReaM!

SgtScReaM: oh well gg
min min: Actually, yes, you get 19 I lose 12
min min: Close match man

There you go, my first warstory!

Yays and Nays:
Yays:
  • Ending with an epic one-tentacleball-stand
  • Breloom's Spore: If Barujiina hadn't been asleep Randorosu and Doryuuzu would have died one turn earlier Breloom could also have attempted to KO Tentacruel with Seed Bomb.
  • Tyranitar for using Scarf when everybody else is using Boah/Lead/something bulky enough to come in many times in case of other weather
.
Nays:
Unfortunately we have quite a few...
  • Garchomp's Sand Veil hax, despite potentially saving the game.
  • Barujiina's sleep counter being one turn away from dropping to zero before she got Rock Slided to death.
  • My misplays: Procastinating the Rapid Spin, trying to flinch Nattorei to death, not subbing when I should have with Tangela.
  • SgtScream's misplays: Inadvertently getting subseeded by Tangela. (Judging from the variation he seems to be the better player anyway).

SgtScream's Team:
Oh no! I've hit the 100-image mark, so I can only show the picture for one of them.

| Tyranitar | Nattorei | Doryuuzu |

| Randorosu |
| Breloom | Skarmory |

Thanks for reading!

Hahaha this is great
Lots of nice comments and it was interesting to see a stall team at work. Really close at the end there, too. I don't see ties happen that often.

This was a fairly well written and close warstory, so well done on that. Unfortunately there was a bit too much hax (not your fault, of course), and both teams had some serious weaknesses and misplays.

Awesome battle, some misplays, but you know them yourself, nice format

8.5/10

Can you post the Tangela and Garchomp sets?

This was a very enjoyable read. With all the hyper-offense running around it is nice to see a bit of stall. There was a bit of hax but it wasn't game breaking. I would also like to see Tangela's set. Garchomp is the bulky set from the analysis right?

Anyway it was good with some unusual Pokemon used 8/10. I hope to see more in the future.

Oops, I just checked, it probably is

Eh, overall, I liked it a lot. There were a few things that bugged me, such as the hax on him missing. He missed like 6 times, between leechseed and against your Garchomp (I know, sand veil, but still). It may not have been game breaking misses, but they still definitely changed the outcome.

The other thing that bugged me was the commentary. Although great at some points, was really lackluster in other spots. Need to focus more on explaining your rational, not what you did the turn before.

Adding percentages would help. I didn't know how low tangela was until you said he was low, and I had no idea where each person stood.

Other than that, very enjoyable. You called yourself on your misplays which were minor, and had decent enough commentary with decent format.

7.5-8/10.

Keep it up.

Solid battle (though a little haxy), my only concern was the lack of percentages. They make it that much easier for the reader: following the battle is easier.
Evolution Stone tangela was pretty awesome though. Every time i see a 'mon using that item it surprises me how much their bulk increases.

Pros
~Good Grammar
~Nice Formatting
~interesting Battle
~unique choice of Pokemon

Cons
~Your not experienced at stall I can tell but it's no major flaw
~Several Misplays
~Lack of percentages

Summary: This is an pretty decent and enjoyable war story but for future reference in order keep readers interested you must add suspense which I felt this war story was lacking another problem I felt is your lack of experience with the art of the stall you need to get better but that requires more matches so I urge you Not to quit because the stall is indeed not dead and also it would be easier to follow if you had more percentage on the damage that elapse on the core of the battle.

7.5/10

This was a good battle, your team was interesting (creativity+being effective ftw). Hax sucks but you can't control it. 8.5/10

Can be kinda confusing how you switch the order of the sprites from yours-your opponents to your opponents-yours at random intervals, but besides that good read. Tangela for the win! (or the tie)

The only complaint I have was that you sacrificed Deoxys-D immediately after you had sacrificed another pokemon. It probably didn't make a difference in the outcome of the game, but that could be a pretty important thing to remember not to do in most matches.

Actually yeah, had he saved his Deoxys-D until Tangela went down, he could've toxic stalled Rando to victory rather than to a tie. I don't think the opponent would've changed any decisions knowing Deoxys was still alive, so in that sense it didn't really change the match itself, just the outcome, but still.

Decent warstory. Percentages would really help, but the battle was interesting and the team had some unique members such as prevostone Tangela and defensive Garchomp, which both worked fine. The huge sand hax played a role, though.

Just to note, you had not sacrificed Deoxys for nothing, you could have switched him in, killed Randorosu through LO recoil, and not have had to switch Tangela in again because the match would end (resulting in a win).

^-Just realized, Ninja'd, with Toxic damage rather than LO recoil.

Thanks for the comments, guys! Yeah, I didn't do percentages because there has to be an easier way than manually calculating the numbers for every turn...

The endgame was a bit stupid on my part, mainly because I didn't have a lot of hope that I could survive both Doryuuzu and Randorosu with Barujiina asleep, so I was just tossing stuff randomly into the fire. As for the sets, I'm a little paranoid about keeping the surprise factor intact, so here's Tangela's only:

Tangela @Evolution Stone
252HP/236Def/16Spe
~Leech Seed
~Protect
~Substitute
~Giga Drain

Pretty basic, just max defence and HP to wall Doryuuzu and 16 speed to gurantee outpacing 8-12 speed CB Scizor.

Sorry about the sand hax, nothing much I could do to prevent it. Garchomp racked up quite a bit of residual damage with Dragon Tail and if it had died to Gyro Ball Doryuuzu wouldn't have died as fast.

Also, bump.

Procrastinating on spinning away hazard will damage u in the long run, it's usually best to spin then away should you get the best possible chance. And great Warstory, I read the whole thing.

Had you saved Deoxys you could have won by stalling out Landlos with one more turn of Toxic and LO damage.

Yeah, the major misplay there was the Rapid Spin and the needless sacrifices. I could have swapped between Tangela and the good-for-dead pokemon to rack up residual damage and Regeneration recovery.
