Choice Scarf (Meowscarada) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Protean
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature

- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Triple Axel

[SET COMMENTS]
Choice Scarf Meowscarada serves as the fastest viable Choice Scarf user in the format, able to revenge kill Pokemon like Dragon Dance Dragonite, Scale Shot Garchomp, and Choice Scarf Tapu Lele. Flower Trick is very useful against Iron Defense Zamazenta as well as Landorus-T attempting to weaken it Meowscarada with Intimidate. Knock Off's fast item removal can support Meowscarada's team by removing crucial items like Heavy-Duty Boots and Leftovers from Pokemon like Kyurem, Hatterene, and Moltres. U-turn allows Meowscarada to pivot out of bad matchups like Ferrothorn, Heatran, and Moltres, and Triple Axel covers Flying- and Dragon-type Pokemon like Zapdos, Dragonite, and Raging Bolt that aren't threatened by Meowscarada's main attacking options. Protean lets squeeze out extra power from Triple Axel and U-turn via STAB, notably allowing Triple Axel to secure KOs on threats like Mega Latios and Raging Bolt after slight chip damage.

Balance and bulky offense teams appreciate its Meowscarada's ability to threaten common methods of speed control. Choice Scarf Meowscarada fits best on teams that appreciate its unmatched level of speed control, as it can handle faster Pokemon for its teammates, such as Tornadus-T and opposing Choice Scarf users like Landorus-T and Urshifu-R. Because of Meowscarada's ability to force switches and remove Heavy-Duty Boots, entry hazards are greatly appreciated; Pokemon that can set them up reliably include Ting-Lu, Iron Treads, and Gliscor. Their ability to set hazards up multiple times in a game works well with Meowscarada's Knock Off pressure, allowing for sustained chip damage. Because it tends to pivot with U-turn, Pokemon that remove entry hazards are also appreciated, such as Terapagos, Great Tusk, and Gliscor. In return, Meowscarada can use its Speed to revenge kill for its slower teammates, taking out threats to the aforementioned partner like Urshifu-R, Hisuian Samurott, and Ogerpon-W. Meowscarada is unable to break defensive Pokemon like Ferrothorn, Moltres, and Corviknight; thus, strong wallbreakers like Raging Bolt, Zamazenta, and Urshifu-R make for good partners. In return, Meowscarada can remove or threaten faster Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Tapu Lele and boosted Dragonite, giving its teammates more opportunities to wallbreak. Because Meowscarada is commonly forced out by Fire- and Flying-type foes such as Moltres, Mega Charizard Y, and Corviknight, partners that can switch into them like Raging Bolt, Alomomola, and Gholdengo are appreciated. In return, Meowscarada can threaten the Ground- and Grass-type Pokemon that commonly target these teammates, such as Garchomp, Gliscor, and Rillaboom, using its Speed and the threat of Triple Axel to force them out.

Choice Scarf Meowscarada serves as the fastest viable Scarfer in the format, allowing it to get the jump on crucial Pokemon like Booster Energy Iron Valiant, Zamazenta, and Scarfed Tapu Lele. I would talk abt it being able to rkill various things (examples), caus these examples it just misses out on ko and dies most of the time Protean changing Meowscarada’s typing to the move it uses allows it to squeeze out extra power from U-turn and Triple Axel, and its downside of only activating once per switch-in is irrelevant with Choice Scarf locking Meowscarada’s move. this should be at the end of the para, also feel like the downside bit is fluff, would give any relevant calcs / kos protean lets meow have Flower Trick’s ability to always crit makes it useful against Iron Defense Zamazenta as well as Intimidate Landorus-T attempting to weaken it. Knock Off’s fast item removal can support its team by removing crucial items like Heavy-Duty Boots, Leftovers, and opposing Choice items before they can attack. give examples of who meow is knocking U-turn synergizes well with Choice Scarf’s move-locking effect just mention pivoting out of bad matchups, like ferro, and Triple Axel covers Flying- and Dragon-type Pokémon like Zapdos, Dragonite, and Raging Bolt that aren’t threatened by Meowscarada’s main attacking option, being Flower Trick.

Choice Scarf Meowscarada fits best on teams that appreciate its unmatched level of speed control, as it can handle faster Pokémon for its teammates. As such, Balance and Bulky Offense teams appreciate its ability to threaten common methods of speed control. Because of Meowscarada’s ability to force switches and Knock Off Heavy-Duty Boots, entry hazards are greatly appreciated; Pokémon that can set them up include Ting-Lu, Mega Diancie, and Gliscor. Because it tends to pivot with U-turn, Pokémon that remove entry hazards are also appreciated, such as Terapagos, Great Tusk, and Gliscor. can meow do anything for them in return? Meowscarada also doesn’t pack much power, rendering it unable to provide wallbreaking for its team. this feels like a nothing point, say what things meow cant break (stuff like ferro and birds) and then give examples of what beats them; u mention bolt and zama after and they could be good teammates Pokémon like Raging Bolt, Zamazenta, and Hatterene can provide that wallbreaking, with the latter also able to deny hazards to assist in Meowscarada’s longevity. In return, Meowscarada can remove or threaten faster Pokémon such as Choice Scarf Tapu Lele and boosted Dragonite, giving its teammates more opportunities to wallbreak. i would mention switchins to fire and flying types at some point (probably at the end) since meow is forced out by them

Protean changing Meowscarada’s typing to the move it uses allows it to squeeze out extra power from U-turn and Triple Axel any calcs it helps with?.

Choice Scarf Meowscarada fits best on teams that appreciate its unmatched level of speed control, as it can handle faster Pokémon for its teammates like who?. As such, Balance and Bulky Offense teams appreciate its ability to threaten common methods of speed control. this feels like it should ust be in the first sentence Because of Meowscarada’s ability to force switches and Knock Off Heavy-Duty Boots, entry hazards are greatly appreciated; Pokémon that can set them up include Ting-Lu, Mega Diancie, and Gliscor. Because it tends to pivot with U-turn, Pokémon that remove entry hazards are also appreciated, such as Terapagos, Great Tusk, and Gliscor. In return, Meowscarada can remove or threaten faster Pokémon such as Choice Scarf Tapu Lele and boosted Dragonite, giving its teammates more opportunities to wallbreak. Because Meowscarada is commonly forced out by Fire- and Flying-type Pokemon like who?, teammates that can switch into them are appreciated. Pokémon like Raging Bolt, Alomomola, and Gholdengo either pack good natural bulk and resistances to either typing. what does meow do for them back?

Choice Scarf Meowscarada serves as the fastest viable Scarfer in the format but scarf zama!!! (that statement feels shaky but i cant figure out why...), allowing it to revenge kill Pokemon like Dragon Dance Dragonite, Scale Shot Garchomp, and Choice Scarf Tapu Lele. Flower Trick’s ability to always crit makes it useful against Iron Defense Zamazenta as well as Intimidate Landorus-T attempting to weaken it. Knock Off’s fast item removal can support its team by removing crucial items like Heavy-Duty Boots and Leftovers from Pokemon like Kyurem, Hatterene, and Moltres. U-turn allows Meowscarada to pivot out of bad matchups like against Ferrothorn, Heatran, and Moltres, and Triple Axel covers Flying- and Dragon-type Pokémon like Zapdos, Dragonite, and Raging Bolt that aren’t threatened by Meowscarada’s main attacking options. Protean changing Meowscarada’s typing to the move it uses teeeeechnically dex info but also sorta useful so instead just making sure stab is mentioned allows it to squeeze out extra power from Triple Axel and U-turn via STAB. actually wait is there any common scenario where changing its typing is useful defensively? for example knocking molt makes you not die to flamethrower? can write it down Notably, Protean allows Triple Axel to secure KOs on threats like Mega Latios and Raging Bolt after slight chip. nice paragraph

Balance and Bulky Offense teams appreciate its ability to threaten common methods of speed control. Choice Scarf Meowscarada fits best on teams that appreciate its unmatched level of speed control, as it can handle faster Pokémon for its teammates, such as Tornadus-T and opposing Choice Scarf Pokémon like Landous-T and Urshifu-RS. Because of Meowscarada’s ability to force switches and Knock Off Heavy-Duty Boots, entry hazards are greatly appreciated; Pokémon that can set them up include Ting-Lu, Mega Diancie, and Gliscor why are these in particular good partners for meow? the way you phrase it makes it seem like anything that sets up hazards is ok. Because it tends to pivot with U-turn, Pokémon that remove entry hazards are also appreciated, such as Terapagos, Great Tusk, and Gliscor. In return, Meowscarada can use its speed to revenge kill for its slower teammates. this is just restating its role.. although you do want to talk about what it does in return right? are there any foes it particularly beats that are difficult for one or more of these teammates? Meowscarada is unable to break defensive Pokémon like Ferrothorn, Moltres, and Corviknight. Thus, Pokémon like Raging Bolt, Zamazenta, and Urshifu-RS can provide that wallbreaking. In return, Meowscarada can remove or threaten faster Pokémon such as Choice Scarf Tapu Lele and boosted Dragonite, giving its teammates more opportunities to wallbreak. Because Meowscarada is commonly forced out by Fire- and Flying-type Pokemon such as Moltres, Mega Charizard Y, and Corviknight, teammates that can switch into them are appreciated. Pokémon like Raging Bolt, Alomomola, and Gholdengo either pack good natural bulk and resistances to either typing. In return, Meowscarada can switch into the Ground- and Grass-type attacks very risky... id leave this out, instead talk about what meow threatens for these pokemon. the given examples are ok for that purpose just not exactly a switchin (i bet meow takes like half from eq lol) that commonly target its teammates, such as those from Garchomp, Gliscor, and Ogerpon-W, then using its speed to force them out.

damn crappy memory hit hard

notes:
i didn't touch the first sentence since i really don't see any issue with it (we are definitely not entertaining scarf zama)
i don't think there's any common case where protean acts as a defensive tool for meowscarada (and I'm not fully sure how to implement it in a way that's not clumsy)

(also for some reason I can't ping gp team so can sm1 help with that lmao)

Because of Meowscarada’s Meowscarada's ability to force switches and Knock Off remove Heavy-Duty Boots, entry hazards are greatly appreciated; Pokémon good teammates if these are just good setters and aren't necessarily good teammates for Meowscarada, stick with Pokemon (no accent) instead of good teammates that can set them up reliably include Ting-Lu, Iron Treads, and Gliscor.
