General Introduce yourself!

So how would you go about getting the legendaries that dont come in your version of the game? I need the alpha sapphire ones to get a couple more but i also want some from the older generations. I dont jave someone to clone with to make extra legendaries and i only have a couple shinies which i was hoping to hold onto...
 
Also, if you breed a shiny pokemon, will you get a shiny pokemon baby or a normal one?

I might be posting a bit much here >_>

Hi there fellas, newbie from Germany speaking. I used to play pokemon back in first gen, and only started playing again last december. Now, I already know a thing or two about competetive battling, but there is still lots of stuff (and pokimins) that i dont know about.
So, I`ve been trying to build a decent team for a while now. Im only dead set on 2 pokemon so far (weaville and goodra) and not so sure about the rest. To be honest i have no clue where to ask how to properly build my team from here. Is it okay to post in the teamrating subforum when i just know this much?
Anyway, nice to meet you all.... and stuff^^

I've been playing pokemon ever since generation 3 and played competitivly during gen 5. I play in the OU format mostly and play a bit of Ubers and UU, though recently I've been taking a break and have just been playing random battles...if you want to battle me just tell me though an I'll be glad to battle.

You can PM a mentor of the tier you're looking to teambuild in for some help. As for the RMT subforum, I would recommend finishing your team (which can be done pretty quickly with the help of a mentor) before posting. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask for now; have fun!

Hi, I'm notaraptor. I've played competitive since when Black and White 2 came out. I played OU, UU and Ubers a lot in 5th gen, but now I've been mainly just playing Battlespot singles.

I've got a lot hair and not many claws for a raptor so I don't think so. Thanks for the tips.

Well, it's been a while.

Used to be around here in the DPP days (under a different account), imagine my surprise to come back to the OU and find staples like Blissey and Infernape in the UU.

Considering getting back into the game, although I have obviously much to learn about new the moves and just how much Fairy shaked up the Metagame (I mean Azumarill in the OU? What the hell?).

Interested to see how Sub-Petaya Empolion fits into todays sweepers

As for PMing someone, you can click their avatar, then click Start a Conversation. From there on, it's pretty much self-explanatory. :]

Yeah, luckily for me, I started in Gen 6 (right after XY came out), so I didn't have to learn one thing only for me to return and have to relearn a lot. Fairy has had a substantial impact on the metagame, but for each tier it's different. You can visit the tiers of those you wish to learn about and/or get involved in their forum sections here at Smogon. If you need any help, you can ask here for the time being, but you can also check out our help form. Have a great time, and I'll see you around!
 
Hey everybody I'm new to smogon but I've been playing Pokemon since Red and Blue. My name is Christian, I'm 23 and am looking to get into the competitive scene. I kind of stumbled onto this site when I was doing some research into tips for team composition and it really has been a lot of informative reading. Waiting on round 93 of the tutoring program to see if I can get a spot right now and going through the dex just soaking up as much information as possible. Just put 110 hours into OR in the past two weeks and I'm getting ready to push through X. Really excited to be here even if I'm just lurking discussions, hit me up if you wanna chat.
