This is the more professional looking page on smogon's site. It explains it quite well. It also has a link to Stratos' big google doc of everyone's rankings.

"Below are the top 16 players for Doubles so far this year, as determined by their Seasonals rankings. Players are awarded points each seasonal equal to the losers' round in which they were eliminated minus one. The last four Seasonals of any given time are used to calculate their total points and, of course, more total points means a higher ranking.

Currrently, only one Seasonal has concluded, but this page will be updated as they finish."

Basically anyone who gets points will be on the google doc, but only the top 16 overall are listed on that smogon page.

Just a suggestion, but it would be cool to use the OP as a Hall of Fame for the winners of past Seasonals, etc with a record of their finals - it's a nice way to keep history of the development of the doubles competition :)
