Iron Maiden

I liked "These Colors Don't Run" and "Different World" from the "A Matter of Life and Death" album especially.

"The Number of the Beast" is the first Iron Maiden song I think of, though.

amazing band, have yet to see them though as tickets are fucking expensive and their preferred venues happen to not be near me

hallowed be thy name is my favourite

I actually like their first album most for some reason. I feel like it has the most energy and excitement, even if it is raw. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son is probably their 'masterpiece'; it is kind of the culmination of all their years. Even their 2000 and 2003 albums after reuniting were great (Brave New World, Dance of Death).

Charlotte the Harlot is actually by far my favorite song by them, and I must be the only person in the world it seems. Just checking their last.fm, it is only the 106th most popular Iron Maiden song there (though surely some live songs that are repeats are interspersed above that). I do not understand why this is the song off their debut that is ignored when Running Free and Prowler and Remember Tomorrow are still vastly popular, but, as my guess, the reason is probably that the others are much simpler to process!

They're probably my favorite band ever.

Brave New World, Somewhere In Time, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son and Powerslave are their best albums imo.

Iron Maiden is the best band in the world period. The best songs I think are The Number of The Beast, Hallowed Be Thy Name, Iron Maiden, Run To The Hills, Dance of Death and so on. The absolute best song though is The Rime of The Ancient Mariner its got such a changing speed rythm. I was actually just listning to the dvd The Early Days. I have been to only one concert with them though but that is due to it was the first time they came here. The Somwhere Back In Time Tour was fucking amazing. I look forward to their next album which is going to be another collection album like Live After Death and Somewhere Back In Time. But after that a new album is coming and I wonder who is going to draw the album art to that since Derek Riggs quit after some arguing with the manager

Thing I enjoy about Iron Maiden are their lyrics. Some of their songs are so well written you can totally picture a little story on your head (Number of the Beast, Paschendale in particular)! My favorite song is Paschendale, but I like most of their stuff (7th Son of a 7th Son, Brave New World, etc.)

I've always really been a fan of Run To The Hills for the same reason that Doomsday just stated. Their music seems to actually tell a tale rather than just being stupid exposition.

That, and they're badass.

Never been able to listen to them, really. Somehow they've never struck me as good music. I know they should because they are talented musicians and a big name of their genre but I just can't make myself to enjoy their music.

All-time favourite band, loved them since I was six (Seriously).

Live After Death is the album that got me into them and my personal favourite, for studio albums I actually like Dance of Death the most but I'd say Piece of Mind is probably the best out of what I own.

The songs Dance of Death, Aces High and Fear of the Dark blow everything in existence out of the water.

I have been listening to Iron Maiden since I was 8. They are one of the few bands from childhood I still listen to. Powerslave and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son are some of their best albums. I'm glad that games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band are making them popular again.

Anyone got a picture of Eddy?
