Well, although I've been battling a lot lately on wifi, I seemed to have gotten suckier. I can't tell if it's my team or me. Either way, I'm trying to use shoddy again to help me get better at prediction and stuff. Basically I "imported" my wifi team in to shoddy, and here it is (btw, this team was originally a random team that I decided to make a real "team" out of):
Metagross @ Focus Sash
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/6 Def
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Meteor Mash
- Bullet Punch
- Explosion
Standard SuicideMeta lead I suppose. I really do like it though. If I expect a Taunt from something like Azelf or Aerodactyl I use Meteor Mush + BP. Then I switch out Meta so he can SR later, depending on who the opponent switches in. I can sometimes manage to kill 2 or 3 Pokemon, depending on how my opponent goes about dealing with it. Focus Sash might be a little bit overkill considering Meta's natural bulkiness, but it's nice to have anyway. It has saved me from a crit or two before. Mid to late game, if he survives that long, he becomes death fodder or just explosion fodder or w/e...
Latias @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Dragon Pulse
- Draco Meteor
- Trick
- Surf
This thing is mainly used for Tricking Blissey and other walls. Draco Meteor of course hurts lots of things too, and combined with Latias' speed makes it useful even after tricking away its Specs. This thing has some nice resistances that are useful as well.
Tyranitar @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP/52 Atk/28 Spd/178 SAtk
Quiet nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
- Dark Pulse
- Focus Punch
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
BOAH. :D Rips through unsuspecting teams that allow him to set up a Sub. I can't decide whethere to use Tbolt of flamethrower though. It seems I always need Flamethrower, but I'm sure that as soon as I switch, it will be the opposite. :p
Lucario @ Choice Specs
Ability: Steadfast
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Aura Sphere
- Dark Pulse
- Dragon Pulse
- Vacuum Wave
Sex. It's fun to wacth the opponent switch their physical wall into this, only to have their precious Hippowdon or Swampert pwned by an Aura Sphere. Then, later, your opponent switches in Blissey, thinking "Blissey will wall it because it is a special sweeper, right?" Wrong. If you've ever used one, you know what I'm talking about. My main special sweeper. And he does a damn good job.
Gyarados @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/6 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Rest
- Stone Edge
- Sleep Talk
- Waterfall
Need a Scizor counter? Here you go. Resists every move in Scizor's standard set. It's not only for Scizor of course though, it's my general physical wall, and my status absorber. Also walls Heatran well enough. He does a good enough job.
Mamoswine @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Oblivious
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Superpower
- Stone Edge
- Ice Fang
- Earthquake
How often do you see one of these? ScarfSwine is a great revenge killer and late-game sweeper, I have found. He has killed many unsespecting Heatran.
--------------------------
My team lacks a phazer, which sucks. Also has a hard time with Celebi, although I've always been able to beat it one way or another. Other than that, I can't think of anything else that this team has outstanding problems with.
