NOC JOAT 10 Game Thread [Completed, GG Mafia]

Aura Guardian has a consistent habit of voting that might give us clues about whether he is town or mafia. When he is a mafia player, he tends to switch his vote in rapid succession between different players on the first day. But when he is on the town team, he usually sticks to voting for one or two players, staying on them consistently throughout the day, not unvoting or changing until EoD.
His day 2 reads list doesn't make sense, it's hard to believe he's actually trying to solve the game. Despite this, I think he's town because his votes are tone have been almost identical to past town games. Like last game he was town and came in with a similar bonkers Day 2 reads list.
In the game, the town players don't know who is on their team and who is on the mafia team. So when they vote Day 1, townies often have to choose between two players that they may town-read, but concede they may be wrong and they choose the scummier of the two. Aura Guardian voted for Haruno on the first day, but then changed his vote to Emchee at the last minute (it failed). This shows that he was deliberating between Emchee and Haruno, as he did not know that both were mafia. You can contrast this with a player like JALMONT, who seems to have already made his mind up prior to EoD1, and even throughout EoD1 didn’t show any progression (as if they already knew both Emchee and Haruno would flip Town).

I'm unclear how it ties in to skipper's conclusions other than being in the same direction.

fwiw im pretty sure (based on my understanding of the rules & how this works) that we can't afford two misvotes. rn it is 5 town 2 maf, if we misvote then its 3v2 and if we again misvote it's 1v2 and we lose. further, i think even just a misvote here would be putting us in a quite awful position, even if we do vote correctly in the 3v2 position after a mafia kill it's 2v1 which isn't good odds (if we don't vote mafia we lose).
now, one thing i realized is it does seem like AG might be trying to make zippy look like town. lots of ppl (including me) seem to think ag is mafia, mafia would be target town. maybe trying to save zippy from danger (because zippy is a newer player or something? not sure but i seem to remember some mention of zippy being in their second game or something of the sort.
so i guess my read is AG and zippy. but im more sure about AG. lets vote AG, if we get AG then it's 4v1 and we have a pretty good idea for who the last is (zippy) and we probably win.
cant remember if i had voted ag already but in case unvote vote Aura Guardian
if AG is scum here i dont think he tries to make zippy look good. it'll be someone he's either avoiding or giving a light scumread to

i understand that i don't really have a lot of credibility here but i don't think this is a fair assessment. i guess i haven't really cased skip but this seems like a pretty bizarre defense of skip. you don't think any of skip's behavior is weird? see above for an example.
this is not skip's town game. skip's town game, he was in the thread a lot more, giving reads list, and in general trying to contribute. i'm not seeing that this game. in his scum game, his partner told him to post less and that eased a lot of pressure. I'm very concerned the same thing is happening this game.
why is AG mafia. can you give me a specific reason or link a post where you elaborate

if you need something to do, please go back thru this game and make a list of who thinks who is mafia. start with day 2 and you can go back to day 1 if youre bored/want to. i'll give u a couple hours and check back
thats a pretty fair point about skip - i personally didn't really feel like that behavior is that weird, it just reads like someone who has been a little busy and didn't know EOD was upcoming. most ppl arent insane like me and constantly keep their eye on the page. tbf now you point out that nuxl did make a post noting the deadline - that didn't come to mind.
as far as AG being mafia i'm kinda trusting Celever here because he seemed to be the most active and probably the one most invested and thinking the most (prob because he was JOAT). he did also fuck up the maths on whether we had wiggle room with no vote the last day which is suspicious

I really don't know what to think about the vote. I want to say it doesn't matter but that feels really bad because we need info. My initial thought is that everyone screwing around with their vote at deadline is probably town. It seems really bizarre to me that the mafia would bother changing their vote around. it wasn't really clear who was going to get voted so I don't think there was really an opportunity for mafia to get off the main wagon and be like "oh i didn't vote the wrong guy lolz." That's kind of why I'm sus of skip because he unvoted but didn't re-vote.
