[Overview]

Jumpluff hasn't changed much this gen. However, it still sports great speed, reaching 700 in the sun, and is only outsped by Deoxys-S with a Choice Scarf. Jumpluff's amazing support movepool is still strong in this gen. It can provide support in the form of double status, encore or leech seed. Nothing new for Jumpluff from gen 5, but it has got some competition in Erufuun. But it It does has several advantages over Erufuun. It is immune to Ground attacks and Toxic Spikes. It also has access to Sleep Powder which Erufuun does not.

[SET]
name: Uber Support
move 1: Encore
move 2: Sleep Powder
move 3: Stun Spore / Toxic
move 4: U-Turn
item: Leftovers
ability: Chlorophyll
nature: Jolly
evs:
252 HP / 4 SDef / 252 Spd

[SET COMMENTS]

This set combines Jumpluff's amazing speed and support movepool to make one annoying Pokemon. Encore locks all Pokemon trying to set up or use a Ground attack into their respective moves. From there you can fire status moves at them to your liking. Sleep Powder can put a Pokemon to sleep, and is best used against threatening offensive pokemon. Stun Spore should be used after you have put a Pokemon to sleep. It is perfect for slowing down your opponent's Pokemon and abusing slow, bulky sweepers. U-turn rounds off the set by giving Jumpluff the ability to scout, after you have locked a Pokemon into a move with Encore, or used a status move on it. The EV's on the set are simple. Jumpluff's Speed is maxed out, which is necessary to outspeed opposing Pokemon and locking them with Encore or statusing them. After that, the rest of the EV's go into HP to maximize Jumpluff's Bulkiness.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

Hazard support is extremely useful for Jumpluff. Because you are locking Pokemon into moves with Encore and putting them to sleep with Sleep Powder, they will be switching a lot. You should take advantage of this and run a Stealth Rocker and or Spiker. Toxic can be used if you want to chip away the enemies health with Encore. Leech Seed can be used over Stun Spore or Toxic if you want more recovery. Groudon is a perfect partner for Jumpluff. The behemoth and fuzzball were made for each other. Groudon sets up Sun and Stealth Rock, and Jumpluff uses the Sun to put Pokemon to sleep with Sleep Powder and slows them down with Stun Spore, giving Groundon an easier time dishing out massive damage.

[SET]
name: Uber SubSeed
move 1: Substitute
move 2: Leech Seed
move 3: Sleep Powder
move 4: Encore / Protect
item: Leftovers
ability: Chlorophyll
nature: Timid / Jolly
evs:
188 Def / 68 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

This set is the pinnacle of annoyance if used correctly. The trick is to come in on a Ground attack or setup move, use Encore to lock the Pokemon into that move, and then put them to sleep with Sleep Powder. After that, you are free to set up Substitutes and Leech Seed the enemy as you please. Your opponent will find it surprisingly hard to take out Jumpluff if you use it correctly. If your opponent brings in something to beat Jumpluff, then simply use Encore as it breaks the Substitute, and switch into a Pokemon that resists the attack. With this strategy, and entry hazards, your opponent will be under pressure, and seriously annoyed! The given EV spread makes Jumpluff as fast as possible. 188 Defense and 68 Special Defense gives you 223 in both stats. The reason there is no investment in HP is because Leech Seed recovers more of your health when it is lower. HP EVs are avoided because a minimal HP stat means greater %HP recovery from Leech Seed, which in turn translates into more Substitutes.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

Entry Hazards are a great asset to this set because Leech Seed, Encore and Sleep Powder will cause a lot of switches. Toxic Spikes are especially useful because they wear down the opponent's health very quickly when combined with Leech Seed. Protect can be used over Encore to give yourself a free turn of Leech Seed damage. Protect also works very well with Toxic Spike support. Again, Groudon is the best partner for this set. Not only can you cripple Pokemon with Encore and Sleep Powder, but you can pass him health through Leech Seed. And Groudon in turn can set up sun, and Stealth Rock.

[Other Options]

Reflect is a cool option that Jumpluff can run. Its Defense is considerably lower than its Special Defense, and Reflect will increase not only Jumpluff's Defense but the whole team's. Toxic can be used on either set if you are running a stall orientated team. On the support set, Encore is useful for building up Toxic damage, and Subsitute and Protect do just that on the SubSeed set.

[Checks and Counters]

Eurufuun is Jumpluff's biggest counter. It is immune to Leech Seed, and can shut Jumpluff down with priority Taunt. It can also block Jumpluff's status moves with priority Substitute and cripple Jumpluff with priority Stun Spore. Lugia can take any of Jumpluff's hits, providing something has been put to sleep, OHKO with Ice Beam or phaze SubSeeder variants with Whirlwind. Ho-Oh can OHKO Jumpluff with it's Dual STABs, Fire and Flying, or even use Jumpluff as set up time with Nitro Charge and get speed boosts. Kyogre changes weather, cutting Jumpluff's speed, and can OHKO with Ice Beam. Scarf Kyogre can outspeed Jumpluff in the rain. Scizor can foil Jumpluff's sub seed strategy with U-turn while Bullet Punch will 2HKO. Shaymin-S can is immune to Leech Seed, outspeeds Jumpluff outside of sun, and can OHKO with STAB Air Slash. Additionally, it threatens Jumpluff's best partner, Groudon with Seed Flare. Shaymin-S can't come in on Sleep Powder or Stun Spore though. Chandelure is a problem as it can trap and kill Jumpluff with powerful Fire attacks (GP note: no DW mentions outside of DW). Jumpluff can U-Turn out of danger, but SubSeed variants will lose because they normally do not carry U-Turn.

Nattorei can be a problem for Jumpluff if you have already used your Sleep Powder on another Pokemon. Encore doesn't stop it from setting up spikes either, and Nattorei can do massive damage to Jumpluff with Gyro Ball. Skarmory has access to Taunt, can set up Spikes and OHKO Jumpluff with Brave Bird after Stealth Rock damage. Forretress can spin Leech Seed away, set up all 3 types of hazards, and break Jumpluff's Substitutes with Gyro Ball. Jumpluff can't switch-in into Pokemon with powerful attacks, unless they are ground with the exception of Earthquake/Earth Power or possibly other resisted attacks. If Jumpluff is your last Pokemon alive, it will almost always die because U-turn is it's only attack.

[Dream World]

Jumpluff gets the ability Slip Through from Dream World, which lets it hit through Light Screen, Reflect and Safeguard. While it is an interesting ability for some, it is useless on Jumpluff, except against a rare team with a Safeguard user. Chlorophyll is the preferred option to double your speed in the sun.

Ok, cool

My unofficial extra corrections in green. Some are typos and grammatical corrections, other corrections are optional (usually because they sound or look better)

Either say Sunny Day or sun, not Sun. And I removed 80 double spaces in the middle of sentences throughout the analysis, but I'm not sure if they were actually there to begin with. Also, make a larger mention of Jumpluff's Stealth Rocks weakness, not just its immunity to Toxic Spikes and Ground attacks.

I'm not sure if it is correct to use "Pokemon" instead of "Pokémon". If the latter actually should be used, I can edit those, or anyone else can (using Windows alt code Alt + 0233)

Make sure you update all of the names to the American ones.

Just noting for the SubSeed set, there is no reason to slash in Jolly for the nature. Timid lets you take less from confusion damage, and Jolly has no advantage over it, so I'd just suggest deslashing it.

Jolly would probably also be an ok nature on the subseed set because I'm pretty sure struggle is physical, and you're not running any attacking moves anyway. Since confusing moves are also pretty rare I guess both would be ok.
