K-PAX

Who here has seen this? It's pretty old, but I rarely hear anything about it, so i figure it's pretty unkown.
My opinion in this movie is that it is pure genius. It is one of my favorite movies ever. It makes you think all the time. The open ending (sort of) only makes it better imo. In cloud's scale, I would give it a 9/10 would watch again.

Spoilers, heh, because I figure some people might have not even heard of this movie;
I think that K-PAXians (lol) can kinda "possess" someone's body. Prot saw Robert Porter trying to suicide, and probably took his body as host. That'd explain why in the end Robert Porter remains there.
One could argue that maybe Robert Porter somehow survived and made up the whole "K-PAX world" thing. However, some evidence point against this:
- he can talk with dogs!!
- Bess disappeared in the end.

Discuss.

ps. I have a teacher that looks exactly like Kevin Spacey in this movie. Only fatter.

i really liked it. a lot of people didn't, but i did. of course, the fact that what most people i've talked to didn't like about it was that there weren't any "real aliens" tells you what kind of morons i have to deal with on a day to day basis.

I thought it was a quality movie. It was eerie... but not creepy, which was nice. It had good atmosphere. Heh, been over a year and a half since I saw it last; I think I'll dig it up and re-watch it soon.

Wow weird someone made a thread about it. Seeing this movie with my dad in-theater is one of my earliest memories, and, for some reason, the only movie experience I can remember. I was confused as shit seeing it so young, and afterwards it all made sense when I thought about it.

All I can remember is that it was a kickass movie. I forgot most of the details so I can't really discuss.

edit: V it was about 6 years ago actually, which would make me 8-9 years old.

Didn't it come out like 5 years ago? You talk about it like it's the original Star Wars or something.
