The word Laser inevitably reminds me of Ice Beam (Laser Glace in French), its magnificent animations and satisfying sound effects in gens 1 to 4...

And one of my memories with Ice Beam is how, as a kid, I had swept Drake's team in Ruby, with my Azumarill who knew Ice Beam and would defeat his Salamence in one hit.

Maybe, in that universe, even more so now that Azumarill became an even bigger threat to his team in gen 6, Drake wanted an Azumarill of his own...
