It was close, but Sken's Scarf Scraggy wins the vote with 12 votes!
Scraggy @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Moxie
Level: 5
EVs: 236 Atk / 36 SpD / 212 Spe
Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Knock Off
- Zen Headbutt
- Drain Punch
So, let's build! This round, submit partners that synergize with and help scarf Scraggy, either offensively or defensively. Remember to explain your submission .

Note: I have removed the slashed moves on the analysis. At some point in this process I plan to have an open discussion about changing specific movesets if the team needs it, so if you were really hoping for Iron Head Scraggy you will still have a say.

Cranidos @ Berry Juice
Ability: Sheer Force
Level: 5
EVs: 236 Atk / 36 Def / 212 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Pursuit
- Rock Slide
- Zen Headbutt

This semi lures fighters and Foongus for Scraggy, and has the ability to remove Fletchling entirely for Scraggy. Cran can be a bitch to switch into, and means that some bulkier pokemon are forced to take some damage weakening them for Scraggy.

Timburr @ Eviolite
Ability: Guts
Level: 5
EVs: 116 Atk / 156 Def / 80 SpD / 156 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Knock Off
- Bulk Up

pjab scraggy lures fairies so BU timburr can win

Gastly @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
Level: 5
EVs: 36 Def / 196 SpA / 76 SpD / 196 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Sludge Bomb
- Shadow Ball
- Dazzling Gleam
- Sucker Punch

LO Gastly forms a nice wallbreaker+sweeper duo with Scraggy. Gastly easily defeats the Fairies that give Scraggy trouble with STAB Sludge Bomb, and a lot of the things that can check Gastly (Sucker Punch users, fast/frail mons, bulky Normals, Ferroseed, etc.) tend to be Scraggy food. Dazzling Gleam helps deal w/ fighters/vulla a little better, Sucker Punch breaks Abra's sash which is pretty neat for Scraggy. Hasty > Timid improves Sucker Punch rolls a tad against Fletchling and opposing Gastly.

reserving skrelp

Skrelp @ Eviolite
Level: 5
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 36 HP / 116 Def / 200 SpA / 116 SpD / 40 Spe
Modest Nature
- Sludge Wave
- Hydro Pump
- Hidden Power Fire
- Scald

So yeah pretty self explanatory. Deals with fighting and fairies, and gets lucky scald burns too. Hits super hard with Adaptability and weakens even things that resist it to help the Scraggy sweep late game. All in all a pretty solid pair for Scraggy even with Diglett everywhere.

Trubbish @ Berry Juice
Ability: Sticky Hold
Level: 5
EVs: 116 HP / 36 Atk / 100 Def / 20 SpD / 236 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Spikes
- Recycle
- Gunk Shot
- Drain Punch

Trubbish easily breaks through the fairy's that switch into Scraggy so easily. Basically it gets toxic spikes up every time a fairy not named Snubbul comes in, and it outspeeds and murders it after Scraggy's attacks anyway. This allows it to constantly spread poison around, racking up damage and annoying the opponent. Also if this is chosen then Diglett should totally be the next mon.

Honedge @ Eviolite
Level: 5
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 196 Atk / 116 Def / 140 SpD / 52 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Pursuit
- Iron Head
- Sacred Sword
- Shadow Sneak

Honedge gets rid of Fairies for Scraggy with Iron Head and pursuit traps Abra and Goth which can be annoying if the former is sash and the latter being removed is just helpful in general. It can also pick Pokemon off with STAB Sneak which is nice, and it can switch out of Diglett :))

dear Nineage,

greetings and salutations!

i have an idea to suggest :)

Croagunk @ Eviolite
Ability: Dry Skin
Level: 5
EVs: 132 HP / 28 Atk / 196 Def / 116 SpD / 36 Spe
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Gunk Shot
- Drain Punch
- Sucker Punch

scraggy is bothered by pokemon that resist fighting and/or dark. in particular, these include fairies and poisons.

now, if i were a filthy normie, i would suggest cranidos, gastly, honedge, or skrelp. however i am not a filthy normie.

thus, in order to preserve my dignity, i set about concocting the perfect teammate. you know how the nazis had this whole ubermunch steroids deal? that is basically what i was doing, except i was doing it with imaginary monsters.

after many hours toiling in my lab, wiping my sweaty brow, consuming tasty watermelons as a nutritious snack, and bemoaning my pride that had pushed me to such an endeavor, i realized something: equeue gunk deals with both of these problems.

it also puts pressure on fighting type checks like birds because they have to deal with two fighters. in case you are incapable of basic math, two is greater than one. if you get punched once, you will be fine unless you are a bitch. if you get punched once, keel over, and then get punched again, you will be in a great deal of pain.

now, as this generations liaison to the mc hammer of old, i have never actually been punched. i am too fast. i am too slippery. i am merely speculating as to the actual nature of being punched, but my beliefs have been corroborated by some of my favorite documentary films, like rocky and southpaw.

i hope you have a wonderful day,

Infamy

p.s. i have made a new friend. his name is goao.

Wynaut @ Berry Juice
Ability: Shadow Tag
Level: 5
EVs: 76 HP / 212 Def / 212 SpD
Careful Nature
- Encore
- Counter
- Mirror Coat
- Charm

Wynaut is good fighting coverage. Takes dazzling gleams, acrobatics, you name it. No one knocks scrafty off when they can just drain punch/hjk it. Wynaut lives a knock off and hits back hard to kill the fighting type and allows Scrafty to hit without worrying about getting killed. Wynat also traps mons that usually wall scrafty and it either encores them or obliterates them. The end ~

Honedge
So yeah this thing checks fairies, has great prio, and deals with Fletch too. It can also switch out of Diglett which is great.
